"What?!" Everyone couldn't help but cry out loud in disbelief and shock.

'Did he just say that she is his granddaughter?!But isn't she from Xi family?' everyone thought that as they though hard on it. But the Xi couple's reaction was a bit different. They thought that Old man Gu was actually the biological grand father of Xi Xiao Yue who left her to them after paying them money.

Then suddenly everyone remembered Mu Yan shouting out that Xi Xiao Yue was actually a bastard child whom she took in just because she was paid by a man and so they also concluded as old man Gu being the biological grand father of Xi Xiao Yue.

The principal was also stunned and a bit scared as he knew who the old man is and how big of a position and status he has that he can even close down this school with a swipe of his hand. Although the principal was a good and upright person, he still couldn't help but feel fear towards the man in front of him. It was the normal reaction of people with low status towards those with higher status.

"W-what did you say? You are that bas- I mean, that girl's grand father?" Mu Yan immediately changed her words that she was about to curse at Gu Xiao Yue but then changed it hurriedly and asked. But grandpa Gu didn't miss out on it and understood what she was about to call his granddaughter and again became angry.

" So what if I am her grand father?! You are not qualified enough to question me! And you actually dared to even try to hurt my precious baby girl?! Do you think her parents and I, her grandfather is dead to even dare try to discipline her?! I was lenient on you before by only letting your husband lose his work and only beat him up a little as I was busy to pampering my dear granddaughter. And you dare feel safe so easily and even come here to cause her more trouble after all the years you have made her suffer?!"

Grandpa Gu became more and more angry as he said that and felt like tearing up all these shameless people from Xi family into thousand pieces as he remembered how his granddaughter had to suffer.

" W-what? I-it was you who did that? So, those, those men in black were also your people?" Xi Ling asked in a daze as he felt fear creeping in his heart. 'So it was all because of her?' he thought that as he felt hatred towards Gu Xiao Yue.

"Hmph. They were, so what? You had even willingly signed the doc.u.ments for severing your ties with Ah Yue yourself! And you dare to still act like you own her?!" he said that in a derisive and angry voice and turned to look at the principal who was silent and was trembling a little in fear.

" Yi Guang, how can you even waste time in listening to these people? If you hadn't been a close acquaintance and didn't know your true personality, I would really have shut down this school of yours! Ah Yue left that house for a jog in the morning, then only defended herself from the attack from that mad woman. She left the house and I found her so I took her back home after that. So this proves that she didn't do anything immoral like these people said and is absolutely innocent! So what do you say?" Grandpa Gu said that as he looked at Yi Guang.

" Yes, I understood Mr. Gu. Its just that they insisted on this matter and wanted me to give justice and then kick student Xi Xiao Yue out of the school. There is also another complaint about her beating up these 6 girls yesterday which is why I called her here to let her say her own words in it. And now that she has been proved innocent about the first matter then the main culprit who spread around such rumours will be investigated carefully and punished accordingly."

Although principal Yi was scared of old man Gu, he still had to do his work and be fair. This personality of his is also why old man Gu let him go or else you can just imagine the end of this school.

" About that, sir. I have proof about those girls first attacking me by blocking my way and taking me somewhere secluded to carry out the task. I only did what I did for self defense. Please hear this and judge it yourself." Gu Xiao Yue suddenly said that after staying silent for a while. She then took out her phone as she looked for the recording.

When the 6 girls who were beaten up by her yesterday heard that, they immediately shuddered as an ominous feeling surged in their heart. They were terrified after thinking about getting caught and then being punished. After seeing how Gu Xiao Yue now had such a strong backer who was even able to gain the respect of the principal, they were scared that the punishment would not be small.

Gu Xiao Yue played the recording as the office turned silent and only the voices of the 6 girls were heard in the recording. The vicious plans and schemes made by the girls made even their own guardians to feel chilled at their heart. They didn't know that their own daughters were so cruel and vicious!

They only came here to complain was because they only heard their daughters part of story and seeing them beaten up so much made them blind in anger. Now that they knew the truth, they were very disappointed of their own daughters.

Even the principal and old man Gu were feeling anger welling up after hearing the recordings. Those girls were really at fault in here and Gu Xiao Yue only attacked them in self defense. If she hadn't done that then she would have ended up worse than that. How can such young girls be so vicious towards their own fellow student?

"I have really been a bit negligent about the discipline and education of the students in my school. I am really ashamed to let you know about such things Mr. Gu and I would also like to apologise for them targeting your granddaughter like this behind my back. If she hadn't been strong enough, she would really have been a victim of such vicious schemes. I am very sorry."

Principal Yi was truly ashamed and also sad about this. He was an upright person so he didn't think that his own students would have such vicious thoughts. So he bent his back and bowed towards Gu Xiao Yue and Old man Gu sincerely.

Old man Gu stopped him from doing that as he said to him.

"It's not your fault. It's just their family's fault for not disciplining them properly. You are only in charge of educating them. How they behave and how they change is all up to them themselves. You just judge them properly and punish them accordingly. That's your job."

" Thank you Mr. Gu." Principal Yi said that as he turned to look at the girls and their guardians at the side and said." For the vicious schemes you planned and tried to implement it on your own fellow student to harm her, you 6 girls are punished to be expelled from the school and never to be admitted here ever again."

After he said that in a serious and stern voice, the girls all slumped down on the floor as they wept again but their guardians knew that this was being lenient as to not tell other schools about this matter as to not getting admission in any of them in their whole life. They pulled their daughters up as they also scolded them and excused themselves from the office as they had really lost their face.

The Xi couple were also about to excuse themselves when old man Gu turned to them and warned them.

"You are not going to be left intact after this incident. If you don't want to seek your own death them don't you ever get near Ah Yue and try to harm her! Tell your daughters to never mess with her 'cause if they did even annoy her a little, I will report to the police and put your whole family in the jail for your crimes!"

The Xi couple trembled in fear as they knelt down and hurriedly apologised and said that they won't ever dare to mess with her and escaped from the place in a great hurry as if some animals were in their chase.

" Thank you, grandpa. " Gu Xiao Yue thanked grandpa Gu as although she could have solved this matter herself but she couldn't do so in such a fast and smooth way as she didn't have the authority and status needed for that. She suddenly felt that she was still very weak and wanted to speed up her plans and become stronger in both body and status.

"There's no need to thank me, Ah Yue. You are my granddaughter so of course I will be there to help you in trouble. Don't take them on yourself and try to rely on your family more from now on, Ah Yue." Grandpa Gu said that in a loving way and patted her head gently.

Gu Xiao Yue felt very warm and tears welled up when she heard him say that. She didn't have anyone she could rely on before and now that she heard him say that, she felt very fortunate to have met him after her death. 'I will definitely become stronger, strong enough to protect that warm smile and the love and care given to me by my new family.'

She resolved herself more as she looked forward to her growth and the future.
