Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

"How will you compensate me? How about accompanying me for dinner?"

"Eh?" Gu Xiao Yue didn't expect the man to invite her for dinner. But looking at the man's attire and the aura of a rich man, he didn't seem to lack money to accept money as compensation. So she didn't see anything wrong with just a dinner.

Although she wanted to go home and have dinner with her mother and aunt after so long, but since she was at fault for this incident and didn't know whether they might meet again or not so she decided to accept his invitation.

"Sure then. If that's how you want me to compensate, then let it be as that. I'm Gu Xiao Yue." Gu Xiao Yue introduced herself calmly to the man who was silently looking at her.

The man was silent for a second then said. "I'm Bai Long Wei."

'Bai Long Wei...Bai Long Wei. I seem to have heard this name before.... Hmm.. I can't remember.' Gu Xiao Yue found the name familiar but couldn't remember where she heard it. She then didn't dwell into her own thoughts and extended her hand.

" Nice to meet you, Mr. Bai."

Bai Long Wei stared at her hand for a while then extended his own as he grabbed hers and shook it. "You can just call me Long Wei or whatever. Don't have to be so polite." He didn't know why but he didn't like hearing her call his name so distantly. He also didn't know why he didn't dislike her touch and even wanted to keep on holding her hand. But he knew restraints so he didn't follow his feelings and let go of her hand instantly.

"Then, you can call me Xiao Yue as well. So where are we going for dinner?" Gu Xiao Yue already got his consent so she didn't act as polite as before. She knew how to adapt well in any situations.

Bai Long Wei then strode towards the black mercedes just in front of them as he opened the door of the passenger seat." Get in the car. We will go somewhere else."

Gu Xiao Yue then didn't say anything as she got in the car as Bai Long Wei then closed the door and walked to the other side of the car and opened the door as he also got in.

Gu Xiao Yue then finally saw a man with blonde hair in the driver seat who was looking at her and Bai Long Wei through the mirror with a complicated look. She didn't know who that man was and he didn't seem to only be a normal driver so she assumed that he must be a friend of Bai Long Wei.

Xuan Xi Xue finally got himself back from his mind which was a mess with many thoughts about the situation and greeted Gu Xiao Yue.

"Hello! I'm Xuan Xi Xue. I'm a friend of Ah Wei. You can call me Xi Xue or as you like." He said that as he grinned at her. He looked very cheerful and optimistic in character.

Gu Xiao Yue then nodded at him and smiled a bit as she introduced herself. "I'm Gu Xiao Yue. Nice to meet you, Xi Xue."

Bai Long Wei saw them introducing themselves so happily and Gu Xiao Yue even smiled at Xi Xue while she didn't when talking to him. He felt a bit irritated and didn't know why but he didn't like it. He then cut them off with a cold voice.

" Xi Xue, drive towards Tantalising Scent Restaurant."

Xuan Xi Xue immediately shut up as he started the car and drove towards the Tantalising Scent Restaurant. He didn't know how he made this devil mad as he understood him very well and could tell whether he was angry or not so he didn't talk anymore in the journey as he did what he had to do.

The whole journey to the restaurant was very silent with only some occasional talks. It felt a bit awkward but not too uncomfortable so Gu Xiao Yue didn't mind it. She also called her grandpa as she told him that she had something to do so she won't be able to get back home for dinner.

Her mother and aunt had already come back home and they were a bit sad to not be able to have dinner with her but since she had something important to attend to then they wouldn't hold her back as they can just have meal together more in the future. Gu Xiao Yue then ended the call as she chatted with Bai Long Wei occassionally but Xuan Xi Xue didn't join them in their conversation even once.

Tantalising Scent Restaurant was a very luxurious and famous restaurant which was spacious but still crowded by the number of customers. It had 4 floors where the 1st floor was for open dining with the counter and kitchen also located in it.

The 2nd floor was for private rooms which could be accessed as long as you can afford it. The 3rd was for VIP rooms which was only available for prominent figures and the 4th floor was for VVIP rooms which was only for those big shots from super families or some big shots in business and other areas.

The dining hall in the first floor was spacious and had screen partitions in every table with some green potted plants and flower vase decorated beautifully. There were already many customers in the hall and waiters were walking here and there as they took orders and served the food.

Bai Long Wei directly walked to the elevator at the back of the hall as Xuan Xi Xue and Gu Xiao Yue followed him.

Gu Xiao Yue had already been to places even more bigger and better than this one for either business purpose or just to hang out with her close friends. She didn't have many friends before.

There were only two friends who were a couple and were also her friends since she was a kid. They were like a trio who could never be separated from each other before. The most loyal people and the ones who really cared for her. She wondered whether they were doing well or not after her death.

As she was lost in her own thoughts, they had already reached the 4th floor as the elevator door opened with a 'ding'. Bai Long Wei then walked out as Xi Xue followed him and Gu Xiao Yue also went after them as she got out of her trance. She then finally saw that it was actually the 4th floor.

The 4 th floor had only some number of rooms as it was for VVIP's as there weren't many who could really come here. An attendant then came forward as Xuan Xi Xue said something to him and he then lead them towards a room with a 'please' gesture. They were lead to a room at the very back with the number plate of 707.

This was the room that only belonged to Bai Long Wei and never given to others to use even if they were some big shots.

Gu Xiao Yue then finally saw the interior as it was really beautiful and luxurious. The floor was made of glass as it had starry night theme as it rotated slowly. There was a dinner table which was big enough for 5 people to sit and enjoy a big meal.

The walls and roof were also made of glass as they could see the night scenery of the city from there and enjoy a peaceful moonlight dinner when it was full moon night. The room also had a big couch and a table with a flower vase on it.

There was a bookshelf with some magazines and books kept neatly in a well organised manner for passing time in leisure. There were also some green potted plants in the corner of the walls and some other stuffs. It was overall a very beautiful and luxurious room.

They walked to the dinner table as Bai Long Wei pulled out a chair for Gu Xiao Yue in a gentlemanly way with a calm face as she thanked him and took a seat. Then he went to take a seat at the chair right across Gu Xiao Yue. Xuan Xi Xue then took a seat at the left hand side of Gu Xiao Yue.

A waiter walked in to the room as he greeted them politely and asked about their orders. They then ordered whatever they wanted to eat as Gu Xiao Yue also didn't reserve herself and ordered some of her favourite dishes. The food here were all delicious and of wide variety which were very expensive.

The service towards a VVIP was even more better and the food was served in a short time as the table was filled with various delicacies which was filling the room with it's tantalising scent just like the name of the restaurant.

They then started eating their meal as they spoke to each other occassionally. Bai Long Wei usually didn't talk much but he still asked her some random things like what she did, where she studied, what she liked and disliked etc etc as Gu Xiao Yue also answered whatever was approprate to be answered as she also got to know the two more.

Xuan Xi Xue first felt like he was only being a third wheeler but then when the food was served, he didn't think about it anymore and dug in. He also spoke to Gu Xiao Yue as he asked some random stuffs and the atmosphere between them wasn't as awkward and distant as before.

Bai Long Wei had a cold and calm face devoid of any expression but Gu Xiao Yue found him somewhat adorable when he tried to open up a conversation which was suitable between them and also helped in putting some of her favourite dishes on her plate with a somewhat stiff but elegant manner as he never did such things before.

Although he had that unapproachable and dangerous air around him, he didn't look like he wanted to hurt her and so she didn't mind making one friend more. Oh right it was 2 friends as Xuan Xi Xue was also here.

They had a very satisfying meal as she they opened up with each other more through food. After all, who didn't like food? Food was the best way to get close to each other.

Bai Long Wei then gave her his card which wasn't a business card but just his address and phone number to Gu Xiao Yue which was accepted by her and she also gave him her own card. They had already become more familiar to each other and found each other likeable.

Gu Xiao Yue then made two more friends in this coincidental way of meeting each other and they were all happy about it in their own way.
