Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

The next morning.

Gu Xiao Yue followed her usual routine. After wearing her school uniform and making a ponytail hairstyle, she then went downstairs to join her family for breakfast with 2 extras which could be seen as family too.

Seeing her coming downstairs, everyone greeted her with a smile, even the two cousin sisters had to do that even though reluctantly as they didn't want their elders and cousin brothers to have bad impression of them.

Gu Xiao Yue then headed towards her seat which was the nearest one to grandpa Gu and beside her two brothers. Actually, Xia Wei Wei tried to sit in her seat before but the two brothers shooed her away as they protected her(GXY) seat and told her to pick another seat.

Looking at her cousin brothers whom she knew since she was a kid showing such care towards another girl made her feel very angry and jealous, even if that girl was their little sister. Gu Qin Zhen was even cousin brother of Gu Xiao Yue.

She bottled up her disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e very hardly after that as she chose another seat beside Xia Rui. Her sister was sitting beside her as she was also feeling angry about what happened just now.

Gu Xiao Yue sat on her seat as she said.

"Grandpa, mother, aunty, did you all sleep well?"

"Yes, I even had a dream of my dear daughter cuddling with me." Her mother, Ji Hui Yi said that as she chuckled with slight humour.

"Me too. I saw my dear niece and me going together for shopping. Aww, the dresses you tried made you look so cute. Just remembering the dream makes me want to take you for shopping right now!" Xia Rui also chuckled happily as she said that in a half serious half joke way.

" Huh.. You had such great dreams? Hmph. Now that I remember the dream I had,I really want to keep my granddaughter with me, hidden away from the prying eyes of some wolves called men." Grandpa Gu said that as he took Gu Xiao Yue in his arms as if really not letting go.

Gu Xiao Yue laughed as she asked, amused by her grandpa's antics.

" Grandpa, what did you see in your dreams that you don't even want me to be shown outside?"

" Hmph, I saw that a wolf in man's clothing took you away from me as he married you. I will not let anyone take you away from me! You should accompany me till you are at least 24 years old!" Grandpa Gu said that as he hmphed grumpily.

Seeing her grandpa acting like a hen protecting its chick from some bad wolves made everyone other than those two extras laugh out loud. They were really amused by their act but they also felt the same way as grandpa Gu. They didn't want Gu Xiao Yue to be taken away from them!

But who would have thought that the dream that grandpa Gu had would really come true as a big bad wolf in a handsome man's clothing would take away their eye's precious apple. Well, that's in the future as they would then feel very helpless about it.

The maids served the food and everyone started to eat. Her mother and aunt were very attentive towards her as they picked her favourie dishes and put them on her plate. She also helped in picking some food for them as her two brothers felt like someone snatched their little sister so they also started to give food to her as if they were competing who would give more food. Gu Xiao Yue didn't know what to do with their childishness so she just accepted them as she ate happily.

The ignored cousin sisters were seething with anger and jealousy as it had even turned to a little hatred towards Gu Xiao Yue. Before she(GXY) came in the house, they were always pampered by the family although not to this level but they still were very attentive towards them. But now that they only had their eyes on this new girl and ignored their existence.

Suddenly Xia Wei Wei had an idea as she picked up a laddle pull of curry and reached out to put it on Gu Xiao Yue's plate. Her actions were crude as she just scooped the curry and then reached out for Gu Xiao Yue's plate without a care as she then 'accidentally' dropped the laddle and the hot curry was poured over Gu Xiao Yue's b.a.r.e hands and her uniform.

It all happened so suddenly that no one could react to it. Gu Xiao Yue's hands were hands were scalded by the hot curry as she hissed a bit in pain as her uniform was also messed up by the stains.

When everyone heard her hiss in pain, they all became anxious and gathered around her, leaving their seats and food as they panicked.

"Ah Yue, does it hurt? Servants! Go and bring the first aid box quickly!" Grandpa Gu said that hurriedly as he held Gu Xiao Yue's hands carefully not to hurt her.

"Xiao Yue, does it hurt too much? The curry was so hot, what if it leaves a scar!?" Her mother and aunt also cried out in worry as they checked if she was hurt anywhere else. Everyone was so worried about her that they forgot about the two girls who were sitting their dumbfounded and the culprit wasn't even feeling guilty but more hatred and jealousy.

She had indeed acted in impluse to her jealousy before and she even regretted doing that for awhile but the regret went away quickly as she felt even more hatred towards Gu Xiao Yue after seeing everyone so concerned about her.

Gu Xiao Yue kept on calming down the worried people who as she endure the pain. The pain was nothing to her but still it burned her skin which made her frown a bit.

After the servants brought the first aid kit and tended to her burn, there was a small patch of red wound on her fair hands which stuck out very much. This made everyone feel very sad about it as they felt as if it wasn't Gu Xiao Yue who was hurt but them. The wound was then wrapped in a bandage after applying the medicine for burns.

They finally got their mind back as they then looked for the culprit. Aunt Xia Rui glared at her nieces sitting their without a care and scolded.

"Xia Wei Wei! Xia Yi Ling! What are you doing there still enjoying your food while your cousin sister is hurt? Xia Wei Wei, why did you do that? If you can't even do it properly then why should you even bother with it? You even hurt your cousin sister!"

"A-aunt! It was only a mistake! The ladle slipped from my hand when I reached out and the curry fell on her accidentally. And since you all are already helping her then why should we also do that?" Xia Wei Wei said that in an annoyed tone. She acted as if it wasn't her fault at all and she didn't have to care about her cousin sister's well being as everyone else was already there for her.

" Xia Wei Wei! You even dare to deny it? How did my big brother even discipline you? Not knowing how to behave!" Xia Rui was angered by her attitude as she scolded her more.

Gu Xiao Yue stopped her as she said.

"Aunty, it's okay. I wasn't hurt too much anyway. It was just big cousin sister's lack in manners. You don't have to scold her. Maybe just let her learn about etiquette as she is already 16 and she should be more attentive towards etiquette so as to not embarass herself like today. I'm very worried that she might make a mistake like this again infront of outsiders."

Gu Xiao Yue said that as she looked very sincerely worried about her big cousin sister and 'adviced' her aunt so as to help her cousin sister.

Gu Xiao Yue already knew that it wasn't done accidentally as she really aimed towards her. Since she had started it, she(GXY) will definitely pay her back. She said all that not to defend her so called cousin sister but to let others know about her cousin sister who lacked proper manners and etiquette and embarrassed her in front of the family.

Xia Wei Wei felt insulted when she heard how Gu Xiao Yue said she lacked manners and etiquette. She had of course learnt etiquette since she was a kid. She just did that to harm her cousin sister but it became her not knowing any manners and etiquette! It was really an embarrassment for her. But she couldn't even refute back as she(GXY) said with such worried and concerned look which looked very real.

If she said anything then it would be seen as she was ungrateful towards her cousin sister's concern for her. She grit her teeth tightly.

"Wei Wei, come and apologise to you cousin sister! Even if it was unintentional, you still hurt your sister and even stained her uniform. She won't be able to go to school today because of that!" Xia Rui said that as her gentle expression turned a bit stern as she stared at Xia Wei Wei.

Actually, Xia Wei Wei was very scared of her aunt who was very gentle and kind but was very scary when she got angry so she didn't want to anger her aunt even if she had to be humiliated.

She grit her teeth as she got off her seat and went towards Gu Xiao Yue and said.

"I'm sorry, cousin sister. It was unintentional. Please don't take it to heart." her voice was small as a mosquito when she said that.

"Louder!" Xia Rui scolded her.

"I'm sorry, cousin sister! It was unintentional! Please forgive me!" Xia Wei Wei almost shouted as she apologised in a loud voice as she felt very humiliated.

Gu Xiao Yue was satisfied to see her like that so she let her go for now. If she still dared to look for trouble again, she didn't mind being cruel to her.

" It's okay, big cousin sister. As my elder, I hope to see you more m.a.t.u.r.e and careful. I really worry that you might harm yourself like this. Please keep it in mind." Gu Xiao Yue said that in a soothing and calm tone as she warned her secretly through her words that sounded as if words of concern to others while only Xia Wei Wei knew what she really meant by that.

She knew now that her cousin sister wasn't a simple country bumpkin but a wolf in sheep's clothing. She then felt a bit scared when she saw the cruel glint flashing through Gu Xiao Yue's eyes as she smiled coldly to her when no one was looking at her.
