Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

It was already evening.

Gu Xiao Yue and Feng Jiao went downstairs as they then headed to the lobby where the sounds of chatting voices could be heard. They went inside and saw that there were already everyone inside as they talked about this and that and laughed.

Gu Xiao Yue then pulled at Feng Jiao's hand and led her inside with a smile on her face.

"Grandpa, mother, aunt,brothers. How was your day?" Gu Xiao Yue asked as she excluded the two cousin sisters from her concerned words as she went straight towards where everyone was sitting.

Everyone then looked at her as she pulled on a girl who looked like of same age as her as she smiled brightly.

Ji Hui Yi then smiled as she said. "It's Xiao Yue ah. My day wasn't that good as I really missed my dear daughter. Come here to your mommy." She said that as she stretched out her hands as if indicating to give her a hug.

Gu Xiao Yue then chuckled as she hugged her mother for a while as they parted.

" Ehh, it's not fair that only elder sister gets to hug her! Xiao Yue ah, come come, give your dear aunt a big hug too." Xia Rui said that with a doting smile as she also stretched out her hands for a hug.

Gu Xiao Yue then hugged her as she giggled in amus.e.m.e.nt as they only parted when Grandpa Gu spoke up.

" Hey, isn't it too much unfair that only you two get a hug from her? You trying to exclude this old bones from your fun? Ah Yue, come to your grandpa. Don't leave me out ah." Grandpa Gu said that as he acted like a kid as he also stretched out his hands.

" Then that's too unfair to us too! We want to hug our little sister too!"

" Yeah."Gu Qin Zhen and Gu Shao Yan echoed together as they nodded and looked at Gu Xiao Yue as they stretched their hands out too. Even Gu Shao Yan was acting so childish today. Seeing this made Gu Xiao Yue to laugh out loud. She then gave them all a hug as she then went back to stand beside Feng Jiao.

The cousin sisters were of course very jealous seeing such affectionate moment between them. But they couldn't do anything about it but lay low as they will be in the wrong.

Gu Xiao Yue then held Feng Jiao's hand as she said.

"Everyone, this is Feng Jiao, my new friend. She came here to keep me company as she got to know that I was hurt and I told her to stay till dinner and meet you all."

Hearing her say that made everyone turn towards Feng Jiao who was calm on the outside but a bit nervous and happy on the inside. She then went forward as she greeted." Hello, I am Feng Jiao. Nice to meet you all."

Seeing how she didn't act as usual as she even greeted them with manners and grace made Gu Xiao Yue a bit stunned then chuckled after that.

Hearing her chuckle made Feng Jiao already understand that she was finiding this funny as she had never been like this before so she was a bit mad inside as she glared at her from the corner of her eye which secretly as Gu Xiao Yue then stuck out her tongue and took it back in an instant.

Although they had done it secretly, everyone still saw their silly act which made them laugh as the atmosphere became more merry.

"This is my grandpa, this is my mother, this is my aunt, this is my big brother Shao Yan and this is my big brother Qin Zhen. Oh and these two are my cousin sisters that I met just yesterday." Gu Xiao Yue introduced Feng Jiao to everyone. She then introduced her two cousin sisters with disinterest as she then quickly changed the subject.

The two cousin sisters were even more angered as they couldn't really let her just disregard them and even treat them as if nobodies. Xia Yi Ling forced herself to calm down. But Xia Wei Wei couldn't keep in her anger as she blurted out.

"Hmph, it's only a bumpkin friend of a bumpkin. What's so good about it that you show to everyone? This Gu mansion isn't a public property to let anyone inside despite their status and indentities." Xia Wei Wei said all that without thinking about the consequences and the air which was growing cold as she kept on talking without realising that her words have made everyone's happy face turn cold and their eyes turned sharp as they looked at her.

Xia Yi Ling was cursing her stupid sister as she didn't even understand how her words could even let them to never be able to step in this mansion again.

Xia Wei Wei had said what she had wanted as she then finally found out that everyone was looking her coldly as they looked like they might just suddenly jump at her as they shred her into pieces. She was then terrified as cold sweat poured over her face and back as she realised what she had just said. She really regretted saying that in front of everyone in just a fit of anger and jealousy.

"Xia Wei Wei. Do you mean to say that my granddaughter is a bumpkin? She isn't of worthy status and identity that even her friend cannot enter this mansion?" Grandpa Gu said that coldly as he was feeling very angry right now.

He could tolerate other things but he couldn't do so when someone talked bad about his loved ones and the one whom she talked bad about was even his beloved granddaughter whom he finally made after so long that he always wanted to pamper her with great care and love without letting any dirt to get on her body. And now this girl who he didn't really like actually dared to badmouth about his granddaughter in his face? Did he look like a joke to her?

"Xia Wei Wei! How dare you say such thing about your cousin sister?!" Xia Rui was already mad at Xia Wei Wei for the incident this morning and now after hearing her saying such a thing made her rage which was bottled up with difficulty now burst out as she scolded her with a cold look which was rarely seen on her face. She had that imposingness in her aura as she became angry which looked really scary.

"Aunt.. I... I didn't... I didn't mean to say that! I... I only..I" Seeing her aunt become so mad now made Xia Wei Wei immediately frightened and terrified as she struggled to explain but couldn't as she stuttered.

"Who are you to even say that to my daughter? Do you really think that just because you are the daughter of our relative and the niece of my younger sister, you can talk to the young miss of the Gu family like that! You hurt my daughter this morning but I didn't say anything as I thought it was just an accident but now I really understand that you are just too vicious enough to harm and badmouth your cousin sister! And even in front of our own faces too."

Ji Hui Yi who didn't show her anger out in any case now had a ferocious look as her limit lime has been crossed as her daughter was touched into it.

Gu Qin Zhen and Gu Shao Yan were also angered as they looked at her coldly as they didn't say anything as they left it to be handled by the a.d.u.l.ts. They wanted to beat her up for saying such things about their little sister and her friend but they endured it as she was still their relative.

"Ah Rui, seems like your brother didn't discipline his daughters well. Since they are so ill mannered and rude, I can only ask you to send them away tomorrow early in the morning fight and never let them step inside the Gu mansion so as to not pass on their behaviours to our Ah Yue." Grandpa Gu said that as he then got up from his seat and towards Gu Xiao Yue.

" Ah Yue, don't feel hurt okay? I won't let anyone say such things again to you. Your friend is always able to come and visit here or even stay forever as you like them to. I will agree to everything you want so don't listen to them bullshitting about your identity or status as your status is the most powerful since you are the young miss of the Gu family." Grandpa Gu said that as he c.a.r.e.s.sed her head lovingly.

He was feeling guilty as his granddaughter wasn't his real granddaughter but he didn't want her to feel insecure and isolated because of her status as an adopted one so he did his best to pamper her and shower her with love so as to let her forget about her being an adoptive member of the family.

But someone although ignorant talked badly about her status and identity right in front of his eyes which made him afraid that his granddaughter might have felt hurt about it.

Seeing how grandpa Gu worried about her even now as he coaxed her with such warm words made Gu Xiao Yue feel warm as her eyes reddened.

Feng Jiao was also very touched by how the family treated her friend as they had only adopted Gu Xiao yue but they treated her as if she was their real daughter and a family. She felt very happy and glad for her friend as she smiled with a rare gentle smile which was different from her casual and teasing smile.

Xia Rui didn't feel anything wrong about grandpa Gu's instructions as she immediately called her assistant to prepare for the flight for the two sisters for the Jiang city of tomorrow morning. Then she called her older brother as she told him about everything and didn't even listen to the words he was about to say as she ended her call.

The two sisters were stunned stiff in fear as they didn't say nor move as to avoid angering them more. Gu Xiao Yue thought to herself. 'I had already warned you that if you seek for your own death then I will be glad to help you out. And now that you even did that in front of these people then that just saved me some trouble to deal with without lifting ny own hand.'

She then smiled a cold smile as she looked at the two sisters and they shivered under her gaze. They now really felt terrified of her even more than they felt about Xia Rui as Gu Xiao Yue was more unfathomable and scheming as she seemed to be able to see through them.
