The case about the attempted murder against Yuan Heng was dealt with immediately as he was sentenced to 20 years of jail, keeping in mind that he was still a minor.

But how can Feng Xuan just let him have a peaceful jail life?

He had his men to 'secretly' kidnap Yuan Heng on the way to the prison from the court and tortured him for a whole day then delivered him to the jail, 'safe and sound' the next morning.

He wanted to just kill him off for having the thought of even harming his baby girl but he still kept his rationality as a human, although he didn't show mercy to his enemies in the line of his work.

When Feng Jiao came home from school after the court matter was dealt with, he showered her with a whole lot of love and attention, even taking a day off from his work.

Though, Feng Jiao only wanted to get out of his clingy love. She didn't know what has gotten into her old man to act like a mother bear.

She was used to his excessive love and care but she still felt that he was overreacting this time. She was fit and fine in front of him but he still treated her like a sick person.

"Dad, can you stop hugging me? I have to go and play games with my friends!" Feng Jiao said to Feng Xuan as she wriggled in his arms like a worm.

"Aww, you can play games with your dad today! Don't worry." Feng Xuan said as he loosened his arms around the wriggling girl.

"Come on! I want to play with my friends. You don't even know how to play those games and always lose against me." Feng Jiao said as she pouted.

"But I lose to you so that you won't feel bad, my dear. How can I let myself to hurt you?" Feng Xuan said as he had a flattering smile on his face.

"Ugh, you sound like you are being narcissistic instead. Okay, fine! Only 2 rounds and I will return to my room to play with my friends!" Feng Jiao found it hard to reject when she saw him making time for her even though he was so busy so she agreed to him helplessly.

" Yay, my baby girl loves me the most! " Feng Xuan then hugged her tightly which started another round of scolding from Feng Jiao.

The next day, the school was buzzing with the news of the shocking matter about Yuan Heng and also about how Gu Xiao Yue took first place with perfect score.

The students finally knew how she had changed all this time and she became the centre of all the discussions again which made those who hated her grit their teeth in jealousy.

But someone was having a harder time right now.

The students who saw Xi Mei Mei's outburst started to avoid her like a plague after seeing through some of her facade and also spread around the gossips to other students which made them look at her with strange looks.

Although those who liked her and followed her tried to deny it and also stop those who gossiped about it but no one could stop other's mouth from saying it.

Some of the students who liked her even turned away from her after hearing the rumours. This made Xi Mei Mei want to dig a hole and bury herself inside it.

She was very upset about this situation and blamed it all at Gu Xiao Yue. She thought that if Gu Xiao Yue hadn't gotten such a shocking result, she wouldn't have reacted like that nor would she have had to endure this embarrassment.

She felt even more hatred and jealousy towards Gu Xiao Yue after she heard the discussions about Gu Xiao Yue's achievement and how other students started to see her in a new light.

Everyone had only good things to say about her everytime she heard it.

She wanted to tear apart that annoyingly beautiful face of that once her slave-like elder sister.

Now that her most loyal follower was gone, she had to find someone to help her in dealing with that bitch.

She thought about the scapegoat for her plans then a person's face flashed in her mind. Her eyes brightened and a scheming smile formed on her lips.

'He could help me fulfil my wish for sure. Though it might cost a bit but dealing with that bitch is more important.' she thought to herself.

'Just look forward to the gift I will prepare for you, Gu Xiao Yue. I'm sure you will love it.' She then returned back to her pitiful but cute face and went back to her class. But her lips couldn't help but twitch a little in anticipation.

Gu Xiao Yue heard about the results of the case from Feng Jiao and also laughed at how she had to deal with her overprotective and attentive father for the whole day.

She couldn't even play with her friends and just accompanied him till he was satisfied.

Gu Xiao Yue had already seen how much Feng Xuan loved his daughter and so she could already imagine what might have happened as she chuckled, enjoying the sulky expression of Feng Jiao.

They were on the way to the cafeteria to have lunch when they then heard someone call for them from behind.

"Jiao Jiao." It was Qi Ren who was heading towards them in a calm pace that called out for Feng Jiao.

"Oh? What are you doing here?" Feng Jiao turned around and asked in surprise.

"I saw you heading towards the cafeteria so I decided to tag along with you." Qi Ren said that nonchalantly and then looked at Gu Xiao Yue.

"So you are Gu Xiao Yue. I heard that you are the one who took the first place this time. But be prepared as I will take it back from you." Qi Ren had a competetive look in his eyes as he also had a slightly jealous emotion deep in his eyes.

But it didn't seem to be directed at the results but at the hands holding Feng Jiao's.

Gu Xiao Yue didn't know how she erred him to even declare it like declaring a war against her so calmly. She thought that he was just competetive so she just nodded at him as a response but didn't show any interest into the matter.

Feng Jiao also found it strange for him to take the initiative to declare her friend as a rival.

"Oi, you can just give up. I know that you won't be able to win against her." Feng Jiao advised him sincerely but Qi Ren heard the meaning as something else.

"So you mean that I'm not even comparable to her, huh? I will make you change your mind after I make her lose. Hmph." Qi Ren gave Gu Xiao Yue an annoyed look as he said that.

He felt that Feng Jiao had become more biased against him after she got Gu Xiao Yue as her friend. He couldn't help but see her as a 'love' rival even though she was a girl.

Who knows if Feng Jiao actually started to get attracted to girls instead?

He couldn't let her be like that so he had to make a move and let her see that her friend is nothing compared to himself.

He then clenched his fists in determination and glared at Gu Xiao Yue.

"Gu Xiao Yue, I declare you as my rival. So don't you dare think about winning against me in anything again." Qi Ren said that in a serious tone. He then turned around to the way he came from and walked away.

Gu Xiao Yue made a weird face of confusion and helplessness when she heard what he said. She really didn't know how she provoked someone she just met yesterday.

" Oi! Didn't you say you wanted to tag along for lunch!?" Feng Jiao shouted at him after she remembered his words, ignoring his strange behaviour.

Qi Ren then stopped at his track and seemed to be thinking about what he should do. He then turned back and came towards them, still with a calm face and said.

" Oh, I forgot. Let's go then." He then walked forward without looking back at them. Though his ears were slightly red.

Feng Jiao and Gu Xiao Yue looked at each other with a knowing look and then followed him towards the cafeteria.
