Ruby who is holding tightly behind me was startled when the jet ski hit a rough patch of water.

"Are you ok back there!?"

"Ya-yah! It just surprised me."

On the other hand. Sally and Lillian are enjoying speeding on the lake, while Karla is sitting on a reclined beach chair under a shade beside the pool.

"Come join us, Karla!"

"It's really fun!"

Sally and Lillian asked Karla.

"Maybe later."

Ruby drove off.

"Ruby, do you want to try driving the jet ski?"

"Are you sure? I'm not confident that I could drive this properly."

"It will be fine, I'm here to guide you through."

After switching places with Ruby, I then explain to her how to operate the jet ski.

"Ok, just like that. Hold the handle firmly and use that to steer the jet ski."

"Then?"

"Then twist the throttle slowly to control the speed of the jet ski."

Slowly but surely, she's getting used to it.

"Good, your getting better!"

"Really?"

"Yes, so let's try some turns."

A few minutes of driving on the lake. Everyone went back to the patio to take a break.

"I made some sandwiches and orange juice while all of you are having fun on the lake."

Karla places a tray of sandwiches and orange juice on the table. Everyone each took a single sandwich.

"That was delicious Karla."

Everyone including me complements Karla's sandwich. After that, I ask her a question.

"So why didn't you join us at the lake?"

"I was also wondering about that."

Lillian interjects. Karla who usually has a calm look is getting nervous.

"Uh... I... ca-can't."

"Can't what?"

Sally asks.

"You can't swim?"

After a short pause, Ruby answered.

"Y-yes... I can't swim."

"Oh, you don't have to be embarrassed about that. Not all people can swim."

"Is that right?"

"Yes, you just need someone to teach you."

"Then would you teach me how to swim?"

"Of course, I'm happy to help you."

I then brought Karla in the shallow part of the pool.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm ok."

"Good, If you have the confidence to enter the pool. You're ready to learn the basics. First, you have to..."

"Good! Keep it up!"

"Huff... Huff... Huff..."

Karla is using a kickboard to swim around the pool. After a few mins of swimming, I told her that's enough for today.

"Here, have some drink."

I pass her a glass of orange juice.

"Thanks, I needed that."

"Do you want to try the jet ski?"

"Are you sure? I'm not that experienced in swimming yet."

"You don't have to swim. You just have to wear a life jacket."

"Oh, alright."

Back to the lake, Karla is riding the jet ski with Lillian while Sally and Ruby are on the other one. On the other hand, I stayed behind to take a rest. I laid down on the beach chair, drifting off to sleep.

Then something gently taps my shoulder.

"-elix. Wake up, Felix."

I slowly opened my eyes to see Karla beside me. Now wearing regular clothes.

"Yawn... Karla?"

"Ah, you're awake. Let's go back inside the house. It's going to go dark soon."

"Alright."

After going inside I then went to my bedroom and change into a new set of clothes. When I finished changing, I went back to the living room.

"What did I miss?"

I ask the girls who were chatting on the couch.

"It was fun, Foxy! I never thought we could do that kind of stuff!"

"I know! We were speeding so fast on the water!"

Karla joyfully replied to Sally's answer.

"Glad you enjoyed it. And I see that you're getting comfortable on the water Karla."

"It's due to your help. I could never get comfortable on the water if you were not there."

"It's your determination that helped you. That's why you succeeded."

She quickly looks away, her cheeks red.

"Tha-thank you, Felix."

"That's what husbands are for."

I smiled after hearing Karla's appreciation

"I don't think most husbands would do that, but were lucky to have one so kind as Hubby."

"Yup! That's our Foxy!"

Sally agrees with Lillian's comment.

"I want to be... (Felix's wife)"

"Did you say something, Ruby?"

"Ah! It's nothing!"

For whatever reason. Sally, Lillian, and Karla have been grinning at Ruby after she whispered something.

"Well, I'm going to bed now."

"Goodnight, Foxy!"

"Have a nice sleep, Hubby."

"Sweet dreams."

"Go-good night, Felix."

Sally, Lillian, Karla, and Ruby respectively replied.

"Good night."

Then I went to my room.

After Felix went upstairs to sleep. The three married women quickly surround and questioned the fl.u.s.tered Ruby.

"Did my ears deceive me or did I perfectly hear what you just said before?"

"Wha-what do you mean!?"

Ruby hastily ask Karla.

"Wanting to be Foxy's..."

"Wife."

Like a perfectly oiled machine, Karla, Sally, and Lillian said it in unison. Making Ruby, who is shy and soft-spoken, was made to confront her feelings by the three girls.

Karla, who didn't let up her questioning, asks Ruby to clarify.

Like excited children, they waited for Ruby to finish her sentence.

Sally quickly hugs Ruby, while Lillian and Karla smiled like big sisters who are proud of their younger sister.

"We'll be waiting for you to join us, Ruby."

"Geeze you guys, I will."

Ruby shyly but happily replied. A few minutes of chatting and having fun together, they retired to their respective room.

I received interesting news from Philip via messenger bird about the country of Xadryae and the General who defected. Elite spies from Philips intelligence unit infiltrated Xadryae and manages to get information about the General and his purpose in Remloah. He was, surprisingly, an agent who entered Remloah 15 years ago and was tasked to gain political influence.

He manages to convince the two other Generals at the time, but he failed the mission he did for all these years when I foil the coup. When he arrived back in his home country. he disappeared without a single trace.
