Reborn As Eddie Thawne In DCEU

Chapter 13 - The search

In a white space, Eddie could be seen sitting in a chair across from him sat a man with a frown on his face. As Eddie opened his eyes he knew exactly where he was, he had been here before 15 years before when he died.

"Why am I here again?" Eddie turned his attention to the God that reincarnated him.

"You're not dead if that's what you're wondering." The God's frown remained on his face.

"If I'm not dead why am I here."

"You've messed up big time, right now you're still unconscious falling through space. While you're here no time will have passed out there. Which leads me to my next point your powers are being drained as we speak, without your wings most of your Powers from Lucifer have been lost."

"My Wings," Eddie closed his eyes remembering the flames that burned his wings and flesh. "Lucifer is the king of hell how could fire affect his wings?" Eddies' thoughts flowed quickly as questions filled his mind, "and I'm supposed to be invulnerable how could they burn."

"You are nowhere near Lucifer's power level, and anyone who's experienced it will tell you Hell isn't full of flames, it's cold and dark. Anyone sent to hell experiences a form of hell specifically designed for the, You still have a long way to go if you expect to be as strong as Lucifer."

Eddie finally realized where he had gone wrong. Comparing himself and fighting against Kryptonians turned his confidence into arrogance. Even Martian Manhunter who superman admitted to being afraid to face in combat lost his powers when he flew to close to the sun to save Clark. Eddie who had only unlocked two of the endless locks placed on his powers.

"I allowed my plans for the future to control me, I was so focused on making an impact in the lives of the heroes I used to read and watch on T.V. every day that I stopped paying attention to myself. I did what most people who hold power do, I forgot I was human and can die given the right circ.u.mstances." Eddie laughed, what could he have ever accomplished with that mindset.

"I'm not dead?" Eddie asked the God again.

"No, you're very much alive just unconscious."

"Good that means I have another chance, I'll do things differently and although losing my wings is a problem it explains a lot. Lucifer cut his wings off, which would explain why he seemed so weak in the T.V. show. (Which I Love) Even after they were destroyed by the flames of a lighter they came back the next season though I don't know the actual reason they did. This at the very least means I'm not completely without hope."

"Since you seem to be taking this so well I'll send you on your way but before you leave let me give you some advice. Your healing ability is strong, it practically makes you immortal, allowing you to regrow your body from single limbs thought I wouldn't try that one out it might make you go insane due to the intense amounts of pain. But one thing it can't do is heal the divine it can't heal your wings it can barely handle the burns that scar your back. It isn't strong enough to regrow your wings and unless you spontaneously find out who you truly are on the inside don't expect your wings to magically grow back. Make It Stronger goodbye Eddie enjoy your new life I don't expect that we'll ever meet again." Before Eddie could say anything The God snapped his finger vanishing Eddie back to his body.

"And The Search Begins." The God chuckled as he thought about Eddie's future.

The first thing Eddie noticed when he opened his eyes was the lack of oxygen he was in the arms of Superman, floating above earth no longer free-falling through space.

"You're awake, I just wanna say thank you. You brought me back to life, back to the planet I love, with the woman and the family I love. I don't know how I'll ever return the favor but from here on out I owe you big time."

"Well let's start small, I could use a lift to my hotel in Metropolis as you can see I'm not exactly in the right condition to make the trip alone." Eddie turned his attention to his back, where his wings once huge burn marks took their place.

Superman nodded seeing the burns he could already guess how Eddie got those burns.

Not much was said as Superman dived towards earth making sure to stay below a certain speed to protect the powerless Eddie. Arriving at his hotel with no one aware that superman was alive was simpler than one would think.

"Once again I just want to say thank you, I saw what you looked like before. You're the one that slapped Zod during our fight in Metropolis, you can't be older than 15 what made you make a move when you were so young."

"My parents were in the city, I couldn't allow you and Zod to cause any more damage. I'll be fine, eventually, but I need you to do me a favor. Make an Impact, show the world you're alive. Threats that neither you or I can handle will be arriving on earth soon, so be prepared cause while I'm like this I can't help you. Oh and stay alive chances of my flying that close to the sun again are nigh impossible considering the pain I'm currently going through." Superman nodded shooting out into the night sky back towards the Doomsday fight. Eddie turned his attention to Brian who was currently watching Television.

"Brian, make a list and confirm any legends of things that can heal or bring people back from the dead. Before that though find me the location of Nanda Parbat I'll start there first."

"Will that be all Sir."

"No, I'll be traveling for quite some time in the future, purchase a private jet I'll need it to get around." Eddie walked to his room laying on his bed soon exhaustion took over and Eddie drifted to sleep.

AN: I lost this chapter so many times releasing chapter is so taxing as I could just write them for myself and not do that. I wouldn't have to worry about other people's opinions...
