Reborn: The Villainess Shines

Sitting in the car with Kei I couldn't help but wonder why this guy is putting such big hopes on me. 'It couldn't be that he fell in love at first sight, could it?' With that thought in mind, I decided to test it out, if it's true then maybe I could accomplish Mayumi's wish for love.

"Kei-san, I still don't fully understand why you want me to rise so much in this world. Not even my own family have such wishes for myself." I asked him while looking out the window.

Kei looked up from his phone and gave me a slight grin, "I was once in a position like yours but unlike you, I didn't let others do as they wished, I made them see my power."

I turned to look at him when I heard his words, he took my hand and looked directly into my hands, "I'm helping you because I really can't stand how others look down on those with true potential. Like I said before, at first it was just a way to kill time, I wanted to see a good show. Now I want to see what you can do if you really have a chance." After he finished speaking I saw that we pulled up to the venue.

Opening the door for me he looked outside and offered me his hand, "Now Mayumi Sunohara, it's time to shine. Go show them what you're made up of and also show your family how wrong they were to treat you as a second class citizen when compared to your younger sister."

Giving Kei a true heartfelt smile as I exited the car, 'Love? I don't know if he truly has any feelings toward Mayumi but I know in this life Mayumi really does have support in this world.' Walking into the venue I saw many looking my way but I ignored them and went toward the dressing room.

Yui's PoV

I was in the dressing room getting my hair and makeup done, waiting for the competition to begin, 'It won't be much of a competition with my sister out of the way,' I thought with a smile. While I was lost in my thoughts when I soon noticed that the room got very quiet. I opened my eyes and saw Mayumi entering the room with a smile on her face.

I jumped out of my chair and faced her, "Onee-sama, you're here?" I asked her with shocked eyes.

Mayumi giggled and gave me a look, "Of course I'm here, I wouldn't miss today." Then she walked to the sofa and continue to speak, "You know, I almost missed this big event but luckily I was helped out by a very kind person." She gave me another smile and then proceed to look at her phone.

I was at a loss for words and could only stare at my sister who was focusing on her phone. 'Who helped her? Who is the person who ruined all my plans?' I thought while my hands clenched into fists. When I really looked at her I noticed that she was wearing a really beautiful dress and had her makeup done. Just as I wanted to say something my parents walked into the room.
