Chapter 6

"Yang Chen, I got a message saying that I levelled up!" said Lu Xiao. Yang Chen was surprised to hear that she levelled up.

Yang Chen looked at her stats

"Her intelligence increased by three points while the other stats increased by one point" thought Yang Chen.

His d.e.s.i.r.e to nurture her has increased knowing that with good training, she will be a formidable ally in the future.

"Yang Chen, I know that it might be dangerous but I want to bury my father and brother" said Lu Xiaoyu.

Yang Chen nodded and said "If you want to bury them then, the park will be the best place!". After that, he went to one of the corpses and carried it.

Lu Xiaoyu's eyes turned red as she saw him carry her father corpse carefully. She went and carried her brother corpse then, went to the park to bury them. Thankfully, they didn't meet any monster in the way and Yang Chen felt weird about it.

Lu Xiaoyu started digging the graves while Yang Chen stood protecting her. She wanted to be the one to bury them. Yang Chen nodded and stood beside her.

When Lu Xiaoyu finished, She looked at Yang Chen and said: " What you did to me is something that I will not be able to repay in my life!".

Yang Chen smiled but his smile didn't last long as he felt a strong presence near them.

He grabbed Lu Xiaoyu and carried her then, dashed away. Yang Chen didn't escape because he was afraid of the presence.

"A Level 2 monster!" said Yang Chen.

Yang Chen didn't want to fight with a level 2 monster because of two reasons. The first reason is that Lu Xiaoyu will be caught in their fight and he can't let her die. The Second reason is that level 2 monster usually has level 1 monsters around it most of the time.

If he wants to kill a level 2 monster, he first has to kill the monsters around it. Otherwise, he will be overwhelmed by them and die miserably.

Yang Chen increased his speed while running away with Lu Xiaoyu.

"Yang Chen, why is your face is pale?! is there a strong monster?!" Lu Xiaoyu was scared because of Yang Chen unsightly expression.

Yang Chen didn't answer her and continued running.

He reached the Police station in a few minutes of running. The officers that stayed as a lookout noticed Yang Chen and opened the door to him.

Yang Chen put Lu Xiaoyu down and sighed in relief. Thankfully, the Monster didn't notice them.

He shook his head and started His breathing exercise as it was the best method to restore his stamina quickly. After resting, he opened his eyes and looked at Lu Xiaoyu. His brain started to formulate a plan to train Lu Xiaoyu.

"She now is weak and will only be a burden if I took her with me! I should grind level 1 Orc mages and pray for them to drop a skill" thought Yang Chen.

Monsters have a drop rate that increases with each level. The higher the level the higher the drop rate.

Yang Chen inspected Lu Xiaoyu's trust and found it has become 75.

"Good!"

Yang Chen stood up and wanted to leave the station but was stopped by his parents.

"Young Man were are you going?! Aren't you exhausted by fighting all night?! You should rest more!" said Yang Chen's mother.

Yang Chen shook his head and said " Mom, the only way for us to survive is by levelling up and become stronger! In a few days, Stronger monsters will start to appear and if we can't prepare for it then, we will be killed like ants!"

"This is the only method to survive!" said Yang Chen. His mother and father could only sigh.

"Son, be careful! Know that we will follow you if something happens to you!" said Yang Chen's mother.

Yang Chen nodded and left the police station. His eyes shone with dangerous light as he searched for the Level 2 monster. He went back to the park carefully and inspected it. He didn't find the level 2 monster which caused Yang Chen to be depressed.

"Well, let grind Level 1 Orc Mages" said Yang Chen. He left the park and started looking for Orc Mage.

Yang Chen was like a machine, he spent an entire day hunting Orc Mags. In just a One day, He killed five of level 1 Orc Mages and ten of level 1 Orc Warriors.

They only dropped a few types of equipment that Yang Chen wore right away.
