"Can you save my family?" Lu Xiaoyu pleaded.

Yang Chen looked at her and said " There is a question that I want to ask you! Why are you out here alone?!".

Lu Xiaoyu bit on her lips and said" I escaped with my family but we encountered a large Monster that looked like a dog! My Father and Brother distracted the beast which allowed me to escape".

Yang Chen's face changed as he heard Lu Xiaoyu.

"Beasts has already appeared?!" Yang Chen was shocked. Things have taken a turn to the worse now.

"If what you have said is true then your father and brother will be already dead!" said Yang Chen.

Lu Xiaoyu's body trembled.

"Please, they might have escaped from the monster! You are strong and could defeat it!"

Yang Chen thought about it.

"it might be a good chance for me to level up!" thought Yang Chen.

"Okay"

Lu Xiaoyu bowed and said " Thank You".

Then, Yang Chen followed Lu Xiaoyu for a few minutes.

"Yang Chen, how could you be this strong?" asked Lu Xiaoyu.

"Kill a monster and level up" said Yang Chen.

Lu Xiaoyu smiled bitterly at Yang Chen's words.

While walking toward the location where Lu Xiaoyu separated from her family, Yang Chen stopped suddenly.

Yang Chen's perception has reached 10 points which allowed him to feel a strong presence in the place they headed to.

Yang Chen stealthily moved to the place with Lu Xiaoyu. When he reached the place, his face changed.

His hand covered Lu Xiaoyu's mouth and said " Don't make a sound! Because if you do then we will die".

Yang Chen saw a large dog eating the Corpse of an Orc. The Dog was 10 times larger than a normal dog and his body was covered in blood.

Yang Chen looked silently at the dog stats and was relieved. He will be able to kill the dog alone but it will be troublesome with Lu Xiaoyu beside him.

"Lu Xiaoyu's family has already died if they met this dog!" though Yang Chen. Suddenly, he felt Lu Xiaoyu's body tremble as she looked at two corpses beside the dog. Tears fell from her eyes and started weeping. Thankfully, Yang Chen has her mouth covered so no sound came out.

Yang Chen didn't expect for a quest to pop out from this. But, he was pleased with it.

Yang Chen noticed that Lu Xiaoyu had a high intelligence compared to other level 1 people.

"Lu Xiaoyu can be nurtured into a mage or priest! She will become helpful in the future if I nurtured her correctly." thought Yang Chen.

Yang Chen knew that most of the people who survived until the 9th wave had at least one of their stats above 10 in Level 1.

The Red Moon Apocalypse now is completely different from the previous time! Devils may appear early and he might be overwhelmed by them. So, Yang Chen decided that he should nurture a group of followers in order to resist the Devils. Lu Xiaoyu will be the first one he will nurture to become either a mage or priest.

Yang Chen looked at Lu Xiaoyu and said " Lu Xiaoyu, I will kill the dog for you! So, wait here".

He gave her the Handgun and said " Say equip".

Lu Xiaoyu nodded and did as he said. Her eyes widened as she equipped the Gun. Yang Chen nodded and went to the dog.

The Dog stopped eating the Orc corpse as it has sensed Yang Chen's presence.

The Dog looked at Yang Chen with his red eyes as it opened its mouth showing many sharp teeth.

Yang Chen used his skill and dashed to the Evolved Dog. The fight will be different as the Dog is many times faster than Orcs and has sharp senses.

The Dog didn't stay in one place, it showed his high agility points by barely avoiding Yang Chen attacks.

Yang Chen's combat knife moved as wounded started to appear on the dog body with each attack. The Evolved Dog's HP started to get lower as the fight continued. The Evolved Dog got anger as it lunged at Yang Chen and opened its large mouth to bite him. Yang Chen's eyes shone with light as he dashed and dodged the dog while his knife moved like the wind and cut one of his legs. Yang Chen didn't stop and cut his remaining legs causing the dog's body to fall on the ground. He then pinned the dog on the ground and said "Lu Xiaoyu, come here!".

Lu Xiaoyu heard Yang Chen and walked to him. She looked at the dog and hatred has completely filled her eyes.

Yang Chen felt that it is better for Lu Xiaoyu to kill the Dog. "Lu Xiaoyu, Equip the knife and kill it!" said Yang Chen.

Lu Xiaoyu grabbed the knife without hesitation and equipped it. She raised the knife and started stabbing the dog.

The Dog howled in pain but his howls caused Lu Xiaoyu to increase her strength in stabbing the dog.

"Die, Die, Die, Die" Lu Xiaoyu stabbed the dog with madness while Yang Chen watched her silently.

Finally, Lu Xiaoyu stabbed the Dog Skull and killed it.
