Human Realm and Demon Realm (3)

Looking at Rothgarr’s appearance at this moment, the experienced Balan showed a hint of ridicule on his originally gloomy face: “You’ve had her. So what, do you regret not doing it earlier?”

Rothgarr glanced at Balan, not wanting to discuss this topic with him. He said: “Why did you come here?”

Seeing that Rothgarr didn’t answer, Balan didn’t care. He glanced at Anna who was looking up and coughed, his face serious: “There’s something wrong with The Abyss.”

Rothgarr pursed his lips and asked, “Have you seen it?”

“Yeah, I took a look. It’s doubled in size, and it’s become very unstable,” Balan said.

Rothgarr looked down at Anna. He heard Balan say: “Roth, wanna go to The Abyss together? If we leave it alone, I’m afraid the entire Demon Realm will be swallowed by The Abyss.”

Balan didn’t know that Anna had entered The Abyss and brought something from The Abyss. He simply invited Rothgarr to investigate together.

Rothgarr hesitated for a moment, but Balan said, “Didn’t you destroy the teleportation portal? It won’t be so easy for human mages to come here, so you don’t have to worry about Anna.”

Rothgarr had told Balan the reason why the human mage could come here. Balan naturally knew about the destruction of the teleportation portal.

After returning from the Human Realm again yesterday, he destroyed the teleportation portal again, so there was really no need to worry about the human mages invading.

But he felt that Anna might find a way to repair the teleportation portal and return to the Human Realm.

Between not letting Balan investigate alone or taking Anna with him, Rothgarr chose the latter.

“I’ll take Anna, we’ll go together,” Rothgarr said.

Although Balan was a little surprised, he just assumed that Rothgarr had just experienced the human pleasures and was reluctant to part with Anna.

Rothgarr flew to the ground and said to Anna: “Let’s go to The Abyss to see.”

Anna originally wanted to go to The Abyss. She didn’t even have time to think of a trick, when Rothgarr offered to take her to see it. She asked, pleasantly surprised, “Now?”

Compared to Anna’s surprise, Rothgarr’s expression looked a little ugly. He nodded and said: “Yes. But don’t even think about going in.”

“I’ll just take a look.” Anna said innocently.

There was no need for any preparations to be made. Rothgarr just asked Anna to bring some food, and then flew with her to The Abyss with Balan.

The road was uneventful, and after a long time, Rothgarr and Balan stopped in mid-air tacitly.

Ahead was The Abyss, more than double the size Balan said.

“It grew so fast.” Balan said solemnly.

Anna looked at The Abyss which seemed to be breathing, and was even more shocked.

Compared with The Abyss, the demon eye was simply child’s play. She still remembered the shock she felt when she saw The Abyss at the beginning, but The Abyss she saw was worse than before despite the fact that she was farther away from it than last time. It was clear that it had really expanded a lot.

Not knowing what he felt, Rothgarr suddenly said, “Let’s stay farther away.”

After he finished speaking, regardless of whether Balan agreed or not, he took Anna to fly nearly double the distance away before stopping.

Balan came over and said, “Roth, shall we go in and have a look?”

He glanced at Anna again. He felt conflicted, and hesitantly said: “It is safer for Anna to stay outside. ”

Anna didn’t refute anything. She knew very well that if Rothgarr and Balan went in together, they would have nothing to do with whether she wanted to go in or not.

Although she felt sorry for Rothgarr, there was no other way, right?

The Abyss in the Demon Realm was having problems right now, not just the Human Realm. If the Human Realm had problems, you could hide in the Demon Realm, but if the Human Realm and the Demon Realm had problems, where else could you hide? Even if Rothgarr wanted to protect her, he had no choice.

If she entered The Abyss, she would definitely die, but could prevent The Abyss from expanding again. Whether she went in or not was just the difference between whether she died alone or whether the entire Demon Realm and the Human Realm were destroyed together. She felt that there was no need to choose between such options. What’s more, she might not be in danger if she entered The Abyss. Instead of staying outside and waiting to be swallowed by The Abyss, it was better to let her go in and take a gamble.

“No, you’re watching Anna from the outside. I’ll go in.” Rothgarr said, “Before I come out, you’re not to come in, and you can’t let Anna in either.”

Rothgarr’s choice really made Anna speechless. She took his hand: “Then what if you don’t come out? If Balan goes with you, you two can watch out for each other.”

Rothgarr grabbed Anna’s wrist with his hand, looked at her and sneered, “Dream on!”

Of course he knew what Anna wanted to do!

He looked at Balan again and said, “No matter what Anna tells you, don’t believe it. If I don’t see her when I come out, I won’t need you as a friend.”

Balan frowned and said in astonishment: “Roth, what are you doing? It’s too dangerous to enter The Abyss alone, otherwise why would I come to ask you to go with me? Anna will be fine outside alone.”

As he spoke, he untied a long chain wrapped around his wrist, looked at Anna reluctantly, and said to Anna: “I’ll lend you this staff… With it, it will be very difficult for demon creatures to hurt you.”

Rothgarr stopped Balan, and said the truth with an ugly expression: “With no one stopping Anna, she will run into The Abyss! You watch her, I’ll go in and take a look.”

Balan didn’t expect Rothgarr’s reason for not letting Anna stay outside alone was this, so he hurriedly said, “Why? Does she want to die that badly?”

As soon as he finished speaking, he thought of something. He subconsciously registered that he asked the wrong question, and immediately changed the subject and said, “Then you stay outside, and I will go in.”

His impression of Anna has changed a lot, and he sincerely wished that Roth and Anna could last forever, unlike him and Catherine. But he remembered that Roth, who rescued Anna from the Human Realm before, was in a bad mood. So did he force himself onto her in a fit of anger, and now she didn’t want to live anymore? She didn’t look like she was looking for death right now, yet… But before Anna saved Roth by staying behind to fight against the human mages. Did they have some irreconcilable contradictions during this period of time, or have these contradictions existed since a long time ago?
