Human Realm (4)

“She’s a human, I can’t give a human to a demon.” Bishop Christopher said, “Maybe you can tell me why you want her.”

Balan smiled gracefully: “It’s not me who wants her, it’s my friend.”

He then smiled ambiguously on purpose: “As for why he wants her…a man, a woman, what else could be the reason? My friend is currently doting on this human being very much, and he hasn’t gotten tired of playing with her. It wouldn’t be good for him to find when he wakes up that I lost his little pet, now would it?”

Anna heard Balan’s words verbatim. She raised her eyebrows at the demon who was hovering in mid-air, and naturally did not refute his statement.

If she did not know any better, Balan’s words sounded too credible. She was a human being, and he was a demon. Would he really treat her as a serious lover? By saying this, Balan intended to lower her importance a little, lest he be too passive.

Just as Anna expected, Bishop Christopher did not become suspicious, he said: “Apologies, we can’t hand over humans to a demon.”

Balan didn’t get angry. If possible, he didn’t want to confront the seven five-star mages either.

“I think you should ask Anna herself if she is willing to go back with me.” Balan said, “If she is willing, you have no reason to stop her, right?”

Bishop Christopher and others worked hard to bring Anna back, and there was absolutely no reason to just hand her over like this.

“She has been bewitched by the demon, we don’t need to ask her.” Bishop Christopher said. The demon treats a human as a plaything, but the human is willing to do anything for the demon. He had seen many similar situations like this. Because of this so-called love, she would naturally be willing to go back.

Balan laughed: “Why be like this? I can still reason with you now, but when my friend comes over, he will not reason with you. He will kill every single person here. You should be thankful that I am not a murderer, and that I am willing to talk to you. Now hand over Anna, and I promise not to hurt any of you.”

Anyway, Balan was a Grand Duke of The Abyss. Compared with Aosta and Rothgarr, he did not kill, but his patience was not so good.

Bishop Christopher dared to lead people here, so he never thought of avoiding to fight. He even thought that maybe he could take down this demon.

He had wounded another demon before, and knew that the strength of demons was not beyond their reach, at least in the Human Realm.

“Then we don’t need to talk.”

As soon as Bishop Christopher finished speaking, the rest of the five-star mages immediately took up a fighting stance, while the non-five-star mages retreated one after another, giving them a large enough battlefield.

Anna was also led back nearly a hundred meters. Because there were trees in the middle, she could only see Balan hovering in the air from time to time, avoiding the powerful and dazzling spells. He wanted to fly towards Anna, but those five-star mages teamed up against him. There were some mages that were able to use spells while in the air, and together, they blocked Balan from flying over.

After a while, Balan was inflicted with more injuries. He looked at the five-star mages standing in front of him, and then at the back of this defensive line, but he didn’t know where Anna was.

Knowing that Anna could not be taken away today, Balan snorted coldly. He found time to open the teleportation portal and left the humans. After Roth wakes up, they will come again together!

The five-star mages failed to stop Balan from leaving but were not discouraged.

Although some of them were injured, they only suffered a small injury due to it being 1 v 7. As such, their morale was boosted, and they were no longer afraid of demons, the top creatures in the Demon Realm.

Although there were often legends about demons in the past, demons seldom had direct interactions with mages, and they didn’t appear in the Human Realm often. Thus, none of the living five-star mages had dealt with demons. Because they didn’t know, they feared, but now that they knew that demons were not invincible, at least in the Human Realm, they were less worried about demons.

Of course, these five-star mages also knew that the key word was “in the Human Realm”; their strength in the Demon Realm was severely suppressed, and this was similar for demons in the Human Realm. They could work together in the Human Realm to fight a demon, but could not do the same in the Demon Realm.

After confirming that Balan had retreated, Bishop Christopher immediately arranged for everyone to leave the place. He came to Anna and asked, “You know that demon, right?”

He had never met a human who could survive in the Demon Realm before, and all the people in the Human Realm combined were not as familiar with the Demon Realm as Anna was, so she was a very important source of information.

Anna said: “I’m not sure. After all, I’m just another demon’s little pet. How can I know so many things?”

Anna’s attitude was very uncooperative, but Bishop Christopher didn’t say anything, he just said: “Mage Anna, please remember that you are human. I will take you to see some things next, I hope you can remember your human identity.”

Bishop Christopher left after saying this, leaving Anna with some questions.

What was he going to take her to see?

Here was not too far from Blue Stone City, and it was also very close to the line of life and death. The team did not go to Blue Stone City, but headed straight for the line of life and death after recovering a bit.

There were seven five-star mages in the team. With such a fantastic lineup, there was no need to worry about walking near the line of life and death.

Anna was sitting in a carriage, looking at the surrounding scene with some nostalgia. She and Dubian fled from Blue Stone City to Black Cloud City by this road.

Of course, although this was a dream team, they were near the line of life and death after all. There would be demonic creatures attacking, but they would not cause any major casualties to the team.
