"We will play a three on three match and both of us are not allowed to replace our pokemons in middle of battle. If you lose, you have to join Team Rocket and if I lose you can get the Earth badge and leave Viridian city safely with your little girlfriend." Giovanni.

Sam's eye narrowed as soon as he heard the last word. He didn't expect Giovanni to threaten him with Vivi. He was confident in leaving from here but he couldn't take Vivi as she was not with him right now. He didn't know if Giovanni has already sent someone to follow Vivi.

"I accept but pokemons used can only be at peak stage at most." Sam had no choice but to accept the bet.

As soon as Sam accepted the bet, Giovanni showed his signature smile because he never thought he would lose even if he only used his second line pokemons, moreover he also has an unbeatable trump card.

"Since I proposed the bet I will send the pokemon first. Go, Rhydon." Giovanni threw a pokeball and mighty Rhydon landed on the field raise dust.

"Go, Exeggutor." Sam sent Exeggutor to the field.

"Grassy Terrain, followed by Seed Bomb all ovee the field." Sam took the lead by ordering first. Exeggutor released grass energy from its legs and spread it all over the field. He then threw several Seeds from top of its head.

"Horn Attack" Rhydon ran with its horn shining towards Exeggutor who was still releasing seeds. Rhydon's attack landed on Exeggutor but he was also affected by seeds released by Exeggutor.

"Exeggutor, fix Rhydon with Psychic and then hit it with continuous Energy Ball" Exeggutor's eyes shone blue and Rhydon was hit with Psychic was unable to act for a while and soon three Energy Ball hit him on his face.

"Rhydon, Dig" Even after Rhydon was seriously injured, Giovanni calmly ordered it. "Exeggutor, be careful." Exeggutor vigilantly looked towards the ground and tried to find Rhydon.

"Horn Drill" Rhydon came out from the ground and hit Exeggutor with its horn. "Fire Punch" Without giving Exeggutor a chance to act, it got hit with Fire Punch.

"Exeggutor use Leaf Storm" Exeggutor roared and large amount of leaves came out of head of Exeggutor went towards Rhydon like sharp blades.

After the storm settled Rhydon had already fainted and lying on the ground. Giovanni expression didn't change as he took back Rhydon. He then threw the second pokeball and Nidoking came out.

After defeating Rhydon, Exeggutor has reached the peak stage but it was too tired from previous battle.

"Your Exeggutor will not last for too long." Giovanni tried to put pressure on Sam but Sam didn't react much towards Giovanni's words as he had full confidence in his pokemons.
