Golden Agent of the Adonis (19)

Thinking through each part of Chu Xiang’s plans, Fang Zhenxuan said pensively, “Since Chen Lifeng hung onto you for the past few years, there must be some “spicy” messages recorded in your chat history with him. With such photos, videos, and even chat logs, you can definitely prove that you aren’t the one pestering him. But seeing as you’re not doing that, I assume that going forward with such a plan will bring about even more problems?”

Astonished by his quick deductions, Chu Xiang replied, “Not bad, you’ve already fully adapted to the entertainment industry’s roundabout way of thinking. If you’re free, why don’t you take a look at past similar events in the field? While it may seem like a quick way out, how did things ultimately end up?”

“Think about what would happen if Chen Lifeng and I chose to tear away at each other. How will ruining his reputation in such a way affect me? Firstly, he and Zhou Yuan would definitely be on the constant lookout for revenge against me. Secondly, the company will not be discontent with me destroying their relationship with Chen Lifeng. In that case, they will not give me any further resources, which would ruin my chance of making a comeback in my career.”

“As for the netizens, I’m merely a manager working behind the scenes who will be forgotten after a few days. Even if they may be a few who chooses to openly support me, it won’t help me find a new job. Furthermore, no one in the industry would want to hire or work with me after seeing the way I handled the evidence. Imagine how unprofessional the company would look if they hired someone who had records of doing such things.”

“These are methods one would only resort to using when they’re at the end of their rope and have nothing to lose. On the other hand, I still have many paths I can choose to take, so why choose one that will send me straight into hell?”

From this one conversation with Chu Xiang, Fang Zhenxuan no longer had any doubts about her. He truly believed that she had what it took to make a full comeback. Even so, he could not help but ask, “Are you certain of the outcome?”

“Why, of course. I can even spare the time to polish you up. In my eyes, these are but small matters.”

Seeing Chu Xiang’s carefree but confident demeanor, Fang Zhenxuan could not help bursting out in laughter.

“This is my first time meeting someone as daring as you. Despite having suffered a broken relationship, just barely returning from the gates of hell, and getting absolutely pummeled by the netizens, you look like a person enjoying themselves on their vacation.”

“What vacation? I’m clearly working.”

After organizing the photos and videos, Chu Xiang started making calls. One after another, she made several dozen calls without stopping.

Meanwhile, Chen Lifeng and Zhou Yuan were in the middle of a discussion with Li Ou. As an expert at building up hype and accumulating views, Li Ou, on the other hand, did not attach much importance to one’s acting prowess. Seeing how the couple was now caught up in a peachy dispute, it set up the perfect opportunity for them to generate even more attention in their upcoming reality dating show.

Their main goal would be to attract the attention of the masses and gain even more fans shipping them. Furthermore, if they manage to get the remaining fans to change their mind and accept their relationship with each other, they would be able to label Chu Xiang as the “homewrecker” in the situation and stop her in her tracks.

It just so happened that the photos of Chu Xiang being admitted to the hospital had just been leaked, which caused the fans to criticize her. Now, they only needed to wait a few more hours and make a statement that would set the dagger before the deadline set by Chu Xiang. When that time comes, Chu Xiang would have already been totally refuted and blacklisted by the public. By then, it would already be too late for her to crawl back up. As for the few discontent onlookers, Chen Lifeng and Zhou Yuan would take the chance to win them over during their reality dating show amidst Chu Xiang’s absence.

Since Chu Xiang had yet to reveal any of her cards, they were extremely confident that she would not be able to make a comeback and quickly began making advances with their plan. On the other hand, Zhou Yuan was still concerned about the possibility of Chu Xiang having logged down her chat history with Chen Lifeng. However, Chen Lifeng quickly denied that possibility and insisted that there was nothing left between him and Chu Xiang.

The reason for such confidence was that he knew just how much Chu Xiang loved him. Despite nearly dying, she still did not threaten him with their past chat logs, let alone pester him. The only reason he could think of for her lack of actions was that she still loved him, so much so that she would sacrifice her own well-being for him. Content with how things turned out, he felt much more at ease. At this point, he truly believed that things were beginning to settle down. With this false sense of security, he even popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate with Zhou Yuan in advance.

Even though Chu Xiang was criticized to such an extent, the company still needed to make deep considerations for Chen Lifeng’s side. From this, it could be seen just how cold-hearted the manager of the PR department was toward Chu Xiang. Despite having worked with her for so many years, to think they would actually become so heartless as soon as she got herself into a predicament. At this point, it became even clearer that Chen Lifeng was the mastermind behind this whole situation. Oh, how miserable Chu Xiang was in this situation.

At this time, Chu Xiang sent several photos to the same journalist. This time, they were photos of her having meals with Fang Zhenxuan and Xinxin. Although Xinxin’s face was blurred out, one could still tell that the person was an adorable, little girl from the way she dressed and sat.

One photo was Chu Xiang and Chen Lifeng smiling at each other while Xinxin scooped up some food with a ladle at the side.

The second one was a photo of Chu Xiang and Fang Zhenxuan simultaneously passing some food over to Xinxin as she looked down at her bowl on the table.

Another one was a photo of Fang Zhenxuan serving Chu Xiang a bowl of soup as she happily received it with a smile.

There was even one where Fang Zhenxuan handed Chu Xiang a paper towel, one where Xinxin fed Chu Xiang a glass of water on the bed, and one where Chu Xiang patted Xinxin on the head while Fang Zhenxuan looked happily at them from the side.

In short, all those photos gave off a feeling of warmth and joy, so much so that anyone who saw them could not help but let out a smile.
