Return Of Aegis

Chapter 16 - Planning

Server was out for 4 hours in real time, heading back in they would gain 4x experience points for the next 10 hours in game time.

For most adventure type players, it was good news, but for those lifestyle players like ZeLin, it wouldn't matter much.

While the game was out, ZeLin and ZeRen discussed their plans to set up Yggdrasil. Firstly they had to decide which city of which continent would be best to set up shop. Originally they were to meet up in Azure City, normally once players reach level 10, they would opt to teleport straight to Azure City as it was the most secured and neutral ground.

The NPC King of that Continent was very powerful, and also commanded one of the top NPC navy in the game. Other Kings would not cross him, neither would a player operated kingdom or guild attempt to take over.

It wasn't that no one tried, someone did try, but they were annihilated so bad, that their kingdom became a part of Azure City. After that, no one else bothered to conquer Azure City. It was rumored that the NPC King was in reality the current monarch of Britain, King Charles, but no one could confirm this, except the devs would know if that were true or not.

Since it was still early game, many cities, countries or continents would not be taken yet. In the previous expansion, Holy Empire was based in European continents, while Dark Empire was based in Africa. European continents were great spots to start an empire due to easy access to food and water. African continents were harsher, but had many ore deposits, making it a top exporter of ores and gems to players from other continents.

To get the best of both worlds and still remain much hidden from the world, they decided to go to Sum City located on Ind Continent. Ind continent was a tropical continent, much like where ZeLin and ZeRen had spawned. With active and inactive volcanoes spread across the entire continent, it was much suitable for crops as well as being a continent filled with ore deposits such as gold, silver, copper, iron as well as various red gems. Thanks to the volcanoes, there would also be many fire element ore or gems.

Sum City was a neutral city, with no reining monarchy or owner. It was a coastal city and had access to the highway of the seas.

Last expansion, the war between Holy Empire and Dark Empire had once razed through the continent.

Someone from Dark Empire got a quest to retrieve a divine egg from a volcano on Ind Continent, but by doing so would cause 3 nearby volcanoes to erupt and causing a chain reaction of exploding volcanoes to most probably wipe out the entire region.

One of ZeRen's core teams picked up a guild quest which required them to protect the egg. In the beginning, Dark Empire members would just die to Holy Empire's core team. But as the days went on, Dark Empire started sending more and more people over and so did Holy Empire. The only ones who didn't join the foray were the respective guild leaders of both guilds and their personal guards.

The ending of that war was rather anti-climatic, the divine egg hatched out a mythical creature, which no one saw. At the moment of its birth, waves of flames gushed out from the egg, then killed everyone. Not even those with high fire resistance could survive.

Three quarters of the continent was reduced to dust instantly, no one survived. Both sides failed their respective quests. It was a heavy loss to both sides, equipment which dropped from player kills, were all reduced to dust as well.

To activate the guild function in cities, they had a series of quests to complete, in Aegis, you could start a guild as long as you had 1 person and 10G. So if 2 [Wind Dagger] sold at 10G each, ZeLin would have 18G, enough for the Guild creation and also building their Guild hall.

ZeLin told ZeRen that he did not have to farm on Mal continent. He had already attained a godly flame he could use for the forging process. They both agreed to meet up in Ind continent once the servers went live again.

ZeLin decided to forge the bow and arrows once they got to Ind Continent and created their guild. Forging in the guild gave guild exp, which in turn helps the guild level up faster. The higher the guild level, the better the perks.

ZeRen on the other hand, wanted to explore the area. See if there were any materials he could collect, either for guild construction or materials for ZeLin to forge.

After discussions, both went to sleep and set their alarms to ring in 2 hours..
