Return Of Aegis

Chapter 27 - Fruitious Accident

Taking a deep breath, ZeLin steadied himself and his mind, as he prepared to make the Evolution Bow again.

As per previous when he made the [Storm Bow], he used the exact same measurements. For the bow he used 43 silver steel ores, 7 wind ores and 1 emerald, for the bowstring he used 7 silver steel ore and 3 wind ores.

As the bow came out of the mold, it had the same greenish hue the [Storm Bow] had. He proceeded to polish the bow, making the bow glow more obvious. He was very excited, the first bow he made after returning from a class upgrade, was already on the [Storm Bow]'s level.

Satisfied that there were no flaws, ZeLin tied the bowstring on, satisfied he slid his fingers down the bowstring, then somehow accidentally cut himself!

- 600

"Ouch! F*ck! What the hell?!" exclaimed ZeLin in pain. The wound wasn't deep, but the blood flow was huge. What was more surprising was that the bowstring absorbed every last drop of his blood.

Checking his status window, he had lost two thirds his hp! 600hp gone due to a small cut!

Eyes wide open, he watched as the bowstring visibly change color. The string was originally the same shade as the bow, but it was now slowly turning pale red, on the ends, it was blood red. He could even see the blood entering the bow.

"Oh god what is going on!" the look of horror on ZeLin's face was obvious. Something was happening that he had never heard of occurring before.

[Ding! Congratulations on making an Evolution Bow. EXP + 50,000. Guild EXP + 10,000. Would you like to name this equipment?]

Staring at the system notification, ZeLin knew, it was way much higher than a unique tier weapon. Making the [Storm Bow] gave him 5,000 exp and 1,000 guild exp, but this one was giving ten times that amount.

[System: Would you like to edit the message?] "YES"

[World Announcement: Congratulations to Yggdrasil for crafting the first Named Legendary Equipment - Blood Bow. Player awarded with 5,000 Aegis Reputation points.]

[System Notification: Congratulation on being the first to be conveyed the title of "Baron". You can now get up to 20% discount on NPC services in Aegis. Luck +1]

With this one bow, he had suddenly been elevated to such a high level and a string of notifications later, he was even conferred the "Baron" title.

Using the messenger system, he sent a message to his brother, telling him to level up as soon as possible to level 25. Enclosed in the message, he included the stats of the bow.

On the other side of the map, ZeRen was crying tears of joy and sadness. Joy because he, for the first time would get a legendary equipment before even reaching level 50, sadness because he was still level 22. It was not as easy to level up alone as compared to if he was in a party. He sent his reply to his brother urging him to complete his forging and come assist him in leveling up.

What a joke it was that the vice leader, a lifestyle player, was already level 40, but the guild leader was a measly level 22.

Noting that it was odd that he had a higher level than the "boss", ZeLin proceeded to make the rest of the bows in urgency, but not compromising quality.

But as he expected, it was not possible to churn out unique and legendary tier equipment like it was burgers.

Using up all the materials he had stored aside for making the evolution bows, he ended up with 13 unique rank bows. Bringing up his tally of completed bows to 24 unique, 2 rare, 1 named unique, 1 legendary & 2 broken bows. He had completely spent his store of emerald gems, now he only had the green sapphires to make the returning arrows.

Returning Arrows x10

10 wind attribute ore

10 steel ore

1 green sapphire

In total he had ten green sapphires, ideally, that would be equivalent to 100 arrows. But trying to be conservative, he decided that if he could get 5 sets of arrows, he would be pleased.

Making the arrows were not as tedious as the bows, he just used the system provided molds for the shaft and the arrow head. In less than an hour, to his surprise, he had a total 100 returning arrows.

Sad part was making them gave no exp. He had long exceeded the levels of the items he was making, if he had more emeralds, he could confirm when making another bow, that he would receive nothing. At level 46, crafting a level 20 equipment would yield him nothing, only by making another [Blood Bow] would he get some exp.

Returning Arrows (Lv 20)

Description: Automatically returns to user's quiver after 30 seconds of hitting target.

Finally done with his work, he decided it was time to go help ZeRen. He sent a message to his brother, asking him to meet at the auction hall. He was planning to sell all 24 unique and 2 rare evolution bows, as for the [Storm Bow] he had added it to the Guild Exchange Tab in the guild hall at 5,000 guild points.

Checking the guild members list, he could see a few of them already qualify to purchase the bow, but it won't do them any good as they could not use it. He also placed the [Silver Gale Blades] up for 5,000 guild points.

While putting up the items, he noticed that the guild had sufficient points to level up, so he sent another message to ZeRen telling him to come back to the guild hall first, to upgrade the guild so they can add the 6.

[Guild System Notification: Guild level 2. Maximum members increases by 20, total 30 spaces.]

ZeLin traded the [Blood Bow] and 5 sets of the [Returning Arrow] to ZeRen, ZeRen slashed his palm then clenched his fist allowing his blood to flow onto the bow and arrows. Once that was done, it was all bounded to him.

He could not equip the bow yet, but having it on him made him feel so good he ignored the fact that his brother was already level 46 and a Baron to boot!
