Ignoring the message, all seven of them got into position, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Galahad slid down into the valley. From afar the snake already looked huge, now sliding closer to it, Galahad's heart trembled as he got closer to the slumbering beast.

This thing was massive, its long body covered in thick shiny black spiked scales. It's steady breath with the occasional flicker of its forked tongue.

"Boss, is it too late to back out?" asked Galahad via the voice chat.

"Jesus, this thing is massive, can I even agro it?" wondered Galahad.

Galahad got up close to Nidhogg's under belly, found a spot without scales then drew his arm back, "Here it goes boys!" {Drake Strike}

"Urrghh! 50% HP cost is no joke, now where's that potion," muttered Galahad as he hastily made his way backwards after striking, fumbling his bag looking for the health potion WeiChiang passed to him.

Utilizing {Observe} on Nidhogg, ZeRen kept a watchful eye on its HP.

Although it suffered some damage, Nidhogg didn't budge and was still in its slumber.

"Galahad, hit it again and again as much as you can, it's still slumbering." instructed ZeRen. "ZeLin go help him, I'll cover from afar."

"Incoming! {Eruption}" yelled Nanthan with a mad glint in his eye.

"Oi wait for the buff you maniac!" yelled Silvia, as he hopped on to some rocks nearby, evading the magma spewing from the ground from Nanthan's spell. The magma cooled quickly the moment it was exposed to the air.

"It's alright, we have instant heal mana potions don't we? It's a shame not to use them." smirked Nanthan as he downed a small blue bottle.

"Sister-in-law really outdone herself this time, instant heal and mana potions? That's some high level stuff right there and she made enough for all 7 of us?" thought ZeRen to himself.

"Take that you oversized worm!" screamed Nanthan in glee, his voice getting ever so screechy. He sounded nothing like a dwarf, everyone staring at him. "What are you pretty boys looking at? Jealous?" laughed Nanthan.

Ignoring Nanthan, ZeRen continued to use {Observe} on Nidhogg.

This was one weird boss fight, normally after damaging a monster, it's HP bar would automatically appear to all with a percentage behind indicating how much HP was left. This battle however, showed nothing.

Willing his bow into a longbow, ZeRen nocked his arrow and shot out {Spiral Shot} aiming for the soft underbelly of the monster. He continued his barrage of arrows by casting multiple {Precise Shot}.

As ZeRen only had 10 Returning Arrows, his combo came to an end as he waited on the arrows to automatically return. Training his eyes on Nidhogg, he watched as they slowly chipped away at it's health. The beast still fast asleep.

Close to two hours later and much potions used, the group was utterly tired. Nidhogg had yet to stir as they dealt continuous damage to it. Even Richard's summons were biting away slowly at the under belly, their weak attacks piled up quite a bit as time went on.

Even Nanthan had gotten bored of constantly casting Eruption and downing potions after.

A big red number flashed above Nidhogg as Nanthan hit his first critical damage since the start of the raid.

"Everybody retreat out of the valley NOW!" yelled ZeRen as he saw the changes in Nidhogg.

"Bloody hell! Physical Attacks have gone down by another 10% " exclaimed Silvia.

Nidhogg reared itself as high as it could, it's bright green eyes swept across the cave, glaring at these bugs that disturbed it's slumber. Thrashing its tail around, it shattered all the cooled magma surrounding it.

With an angry hiss, green fumes emerged from its slit like nostrils as it cast its {Acid Spray}. But try as it might, its tail could not reach those annoying bugs nor could its {Acid Spray} shoot far enough.

Yggdrasil perched themselves at the edge of the valley, looking down towards Nidhogg in the middle of the valley.

"Thank heavens we're out of range," sighed Richard. "My poor babies."

With all that thrashing about, most of his skeletal army was shattered.

"When the guild and nation wars begin, we'll get you as many bodies as you need for your army." said ZeLin.

"Yeah, if you're lucky enough, you might even be able to tame that cursed bone dragon of the East, that stupid dragon that wrecked havoc though Jap continent in the last game." said Nanthan, as he tried to console Richard.

"So what now boss?" asked Galahad.

"Too bad we can't use our dragonlings, their level is too low and can't be used in battle." ZeLin sent a private message to ZeRen.

"From the look of things, once we run out of MP potions, that will be it for us. At this point, only Nanthan can deal enough significant damage to it. Unless lady luck is on our side and Nanthan lands 24 consecutive critical hits with his {Eruption} spell, we're practically f.u.c.k.e.d." sighed ZeRen.

ZeRen made a mental note to himself never to challenge a World Boss with less than 50 people. These things were not meant to be killed by such a small team like theirs.

What were they thinking, trying to take on a level 100 world boss.
