Rewarding Bad Luck

Chapter 2 - The End of Bad Luck

The gates of the school were opened and a boy dashed out presumingly towards the direction of a house. However, with only a few meters left of reaching his destination, his belt unbuckled and his jeans fell down. He flew head first and you could faintly hear a popping sound. He got his head stuck between a fence.

The boy began to cry and thought.

"Isn't it more than enough that I have nothing in my life, why does bad luck follow me..."

A group of teens saw a familiar face and walked towards the fence and saw the boy's b.u.t.t. They began to get rowdy and started to shout and laugh at him, even to go as far as recording the incident.

"HAHA, look at Gabriel. He somehow got his head stuck in between a fence and he's wearing no u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r. This kid is a black hole of bad omen."

The group of teens were correct, Gabriel was bad luck indeed. Minutes later, the sky began to darken and a dark grey cloud had formed. You could hear a violent rumble and a roaring coming from the night sky. To make the matters worse, it began to rain.

Gabriel could hear Aden shouting from afar.

"Stop recording or I'll break your phone."

The group of teens stopped and instanteously did what he asked for because that one boy's father is the Chief Commissioner, so they told Aden that they would delete the video.

After doing so, the group of teens ran off as if a lion was hunting them down.

"Gabriel, I told you don't need to keep going back to the orphanage. You're my friend and you can always sleep over my house. Wait... Are you crying?"

Gabriel sniffed and said.

"No no no, it's the rain drizzingly on my face but thanks Aden, after years of being bullied and being kicked out of the family, I've realised that hope is a very dangerous emotion, I will go home."

After hours of trying to get Gabriel out of the fence, Aden finally bent the metal fence enough for Gabriel to get his head out and Aden pondered in his head.

"How the heck did Gabriel even get his head stuck in there?"

He stopped thinking after remembering logic doesn't seem to apply to Gabriel.

The rain continued to drizzle and it got heavier by the minute so Gabriel and Aden began to run to the orphanage, as they were going to enter, lightning struck Gabriel.

Gabriel could hear the roaring and rumbling coming from the thunderstorm and he could hear a ding. Instantly his body turnt limp and dropped to the ground, as if gravity increased by 100.
