RING Of Fate

Chapter 22 - Refrain

Long Yang came over to the hall and walked to the white piano. He turned over the piano cover and sat down. He had never touched the keys before, but he felt particularly familiar with them.

Su Mei'er, the beautiful boss the café, declared, "Everyone, Long Yang is going to play a tune for us. Please give him a big hand if you like it."

"We will, if he plays well." A male customer answered. He didn't think a student like Long Yang would a master of piano. He was only flattering the pretty boss.

"Long Yang, come on." A female customer encouraged him.

"Thank you." Long Yang stood up and bowed to the guests, "The tune I'm going to play is called Refrain. I hope you love it."

Long Yang took a deep breath before he sat down and put his hands on the keys.

Hearing the name of the tune, Su Mei'er was confused. She had been fond of piano since she was only a kid. She knew countless piano tunes, but she had never hearf of Refrain before.

"Did Long Yang make the tune by himself?" Su Mei'er became more interested in him.

Long Yang's fingers suddenly moved up and down flexibly, and a sad melody came from within the piano...

At the moment, Su Mei'er went rigid for a while. Then, she closed her eyes to enjoy the tune.

The guests had thought Long Yang was only a new hand. But hearing the tune, they stopped walking and enjoyed it in peace.

Refrain means to stop yourself from doing something, especially something that you want to do. This was one of the ten songs that the system gave him as a gift.

The story of this tune was a couple in love broke up for some reason. It was a rather sad tune.

When Long Yang began to play, he was shocked by his professional skills; then he buried himself in the concept of this tune.

Love is precious because it is unpredictable. Those who are unable to make through the winter do not deserve the sunshine in spring. Sometimes, a persistent fool may achieve happiness as he or she trusts his or her lover stubbornly.

Was the tune sad or touching? Long Yang was touched by the tune. Sadness was full of his heart as if he had missed someone.

As for Su Mei'er, she was in a world of her own. No one knew what she had thought of when listening to the tune. A crystal teardrop ran down her cheek.

The tune was finished.

Long Yang took a deep breath and regained composure. Unexpectedly, there was no applause.

"Don't they love the tune?" Long Yang turned to Su Mei'er, and the latter was wiping the tears.

At the moment, applause sounded.

Long Yang gave a tiny smile. He knew he succeeded as every customer was applauding for him, even the waitress. He conquered them with piano. At his moment, he was so proud. He was lucky that he had the skill of Piano Master.
