Rise Of House Cason

Chapter 48 - Flying

Art returned home and hugged his parents. They had a large supper before packing for France. The next morning they headed for the airport and boarded the plane heading to France. They soon arrived at the Berger's and were welcomed by his grandparents. What surprised Art was that Fleur and Gabrielle were there waiting for him.

Getting out of the car, Art had a bright smile on his face as he gave Fleur a hug. Fleur's face turned red but she didn't pull away and hugged him back.

"Tch, don't even say hi to your grandparents or me. Love really is blind." Gabrielle scoffed, crossing her arms and glaring at Art.

Fleur blushed deeper and gently pushed Art away who had a large smile on his face, not ashamed at all.

"Come here you little rascal." Art said, pulling Gabrielle into his arms. Gabrielle was shocked but soon gave him a slight push.

"Who wants your hug?" she said in mock anger but a slight smile on her face could be seen.

Art laughed loudly and said hello to his grandparents before helping his parents with their luggage. He grabbed Fleur's hand and pulled her to the house, her face red the entire time. After settling down, Fleur, Gabrielle and him went outside to talk.

"So how was your school year?" Art asked the sisters.

"Amazing Art! I am top of my class as well." Gabrielle said, puffing out her c.h.e.s.t and placing her hands on her h.i.p.s.

Art laughed again and ruffled the young girls hair causing her to bat his hand away and scowled at him. He looked at Fleur who was even more beautiful than he remembered. She had beautiful curves that Art was finding trouble not to look at and her silvery blonde hair reached her mid back now. Her dark blue eyes seemed to shimmer causing Art to be momentarily stunned.

"It was good." she said simply, giving Art a shy smile.

Gabrielle smirked and let out a small giggle. "Sister had a tough year. Almost every boy confessed to her and wouldn't leave her alone even when she told them she has someone she likes. You better be careful Art, if they find out it is you, you will have to fend off her suitors."

"Gabrielle stop." Fleur said, her ears turning pink.

"Well looks like you will bring me lots of trouble in the future." Art teased, holding her hand. "I missed you, terribly." he said softly.

"I missed you too." she said with a light smile.

"Oh knock it off. I have suitors too!" Gabrielle said, stomping her foot.

"And I am sure your future boyfriend will have to deal with them. He better be strong Gabrielle."

"Tch, no man is good enough for me." she said childishly.

This caused Art to laugh and Fleur to roll her eyes and smile. This caused Gabrielle to become angry and stomp her foot again. The three of them walked around the grounds with Gabrielle pouting.

Art felt bad and said, "Gabrielle have you ever flew on the back of a beast? Like a Dragon or a Thunderbird?"

Gabrielle blinked her eyes, stunned. "No. Why?"

"Would you like to?" Art asked giving her a smirk.

"Yes please! Do you have a dragon!?" she said, jumping up and down excited.

"Let's go to your place in case my grandparents see." Art said taking Fleur's hand.

Fleur nodded gently and walked away with Art leaving Gabrielle standing there.

"You idiots keep forgetting me!" she said running after them.

Making their way through the wards, they arrived at the Fleur mansion. Mr. Delacour and Mrs. Delacour met them at the door and welcomed them.

"Artland. It is good to see you again. How was your school year?" Mrs. Delacour said with a smile. She gave Art a hug while Mr. Delacour shook his hand.

"Mr. and Mrs. Delacour it is always great to see you." Art said politely.

"So what are you kids up to?" Mr. Delacour asked.

"Art is going to let us ride a Dragon!" Gabrielle blurted out in excitement.

Art closed his eyes in exasperation while Fleur gave Gabrielle a light kick.

"A dragon?" Mrs. Delacour asked, raising an eyebrow at Art.

"Not a dragon ma'am. Azura." his said, tapping his wrist. Soo, Azura woke up and looked at Art who gently gave her some food.

Happy with the food, she grew to her large size and looked around at the Delacours.

"Azura has grown quite a bit since last year." Fleur said, slowly approaching her with her hand out.

Azura gently placed her nose on Fleur's hand and softly nudge her.

"Not only that, she can now fly." Art said proudly.

Azura let out a small hiss before flying around them causing Gabrielle to scream with delight and the Delacours to look shocked.

"Amazing. She listens to you? Are you a Parseltongue?" Mrs. Delacour asked.

"No ma'am. I have the Beast Speech ability." Art said, a tinge of pride in his voice.

The Delacours looked at Art incredulously while Gabrielle looked confused, "Beast Speech? What is that?"

"The ability to communicate with all beasts and beings. A very rare ability that some would kill for." Mr. Delacour said, eyeing Art up with new interest.

"Is this why you study with Newt Scamander every summer?"

"Yes ma'am."

"No wonder he would trust you with a Horned Serpent. Incredible…" he trailed off.

Mrs. Delacour looked at Art closely before a smile appeared on her face. "Well it seems you might actually be good enough for our little Fleur."

This caused Fleur to glare at her mom but she gently took Art's hand. Mr. Delacour's eyebrow shot up when he saw this but Mrs. Delacour patted his arm.

Art had a large smile and his face as he gently squeezed her hand in thanks.

Turning towards Gabrielle, Art asked, "So Gabrielle, do you want to ride her?"

Gabrielle looked at Azura nervously. Seeing her gaze, Azura looked at her and started to approach her. She took a step back in fear which caused Azura to pause for a second and then dart towards her. Soon Azura was wrapped around Gabrielle and loomed over her causing the little girl to shiver. Mr. Delacour took his wand out and pointed at Azura but right when it seemed Azura was going to attack, she licked Gabrielle's face.

Shocked at what they saw, Mr. Delacour lowered his wand as Azura continued to lick Gabrielle's causing her to giggle.

"Sorry. She is still young and playful." Art said in apologize, as Azura continued to play with Gabrielle.

"Still young…" Mr. Delacour muttered, shaking his head with a smile.

Soon Gabrielle was sitting on Azura's back holding her horns. Azura let out a hiss and took off into the air above their heads. The air was filled with Gabrielle's laughs as she urged Azura to go higher and faster.

Art looked over at Fleur and saw her eyes were wide with amazement as she watched her sister flying through the air.

"You want to try?" Art asked her.

She nodded her head, not taking her eyes off Azura and Gabrielle. Art laughed and told Azura to come down much to Gabrielle's protest.

"Why did you tell her to come down! It is still my turn!" she pouted, sliding off Azura.

"She's not a ride Gabrielle." Art scolded, giving her a serious look.

She stuck her tongue out at him and walked back to her parents.

"Sit here and hold her horns, try not to pull on them to hard though. SHe won't let you fall and if she does, I will be sure to catch you." Art guided her on the back of Azura. "Okay you are all set. Take off Azura."

Azura responded instantly and took off into the air. Fleur tensed up as she climbed higher into the air and looked down at her parents and Art. Soon the feeling of flying took over and a beautiful smile appeared. Her melodious laughter followed as Azura gliding through the air.

Soon the large snake landed in front of Art and Fleur slid off her back.

"That was amazing! It so different than riding a broom." Fleur exclaimed with a bright smile.

Azura shrunk back down to her tiny size and slithered back onto Art's wrist and went to sleep.

"Sorry. She gets tired quickly." Art said to the frowning Gabrielle.

"Can you stay for supper Art?" Mrs. Delacour asked.

"It would be my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e." he said politely.

Fleur grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the house.
