Rise Of House Cason

Chapter 83 - Placing Names in the Goblet

Art tried to talk to Fleur before she left but Madame Maxime quickly guided her away. Art was met by death stares from all of the Beauxbaton male students and even some from Hogwarts students. He responded with a brilliant smile with cold eyes as if daring them to try something.

"Come on, before you start a brawl with another school." Cedric said, pushing him out of the great hall.

"I'd win." Art grinned, causing Cedric to shake his head.

"Humble as always." Cedric said.

"You putting your name in?" Art asked Cedric, knowing he had his birthday last month.

"Of course." he said with a large grin, "Too bad the twins aren't of age, it is going to drive them crazy."

The twins birthday was in April, missing the deadline.

"Oh I am sure they will think of something." he said with a smirk, watching the twins sneak off from the rest.

Cedric shook his head again, clearly knowing that the twins wouldn't let an Age Line stop them. Art stared at the Beauxbaton students leaving with a scowl before a smirk appeared on his face and he waved his wand. A Thunderbird made out of mist appeared from his wand and disappeared.

---

Fleur was walking back to the carriage with her peers. Gabrielle was silently pouting and pulling Art's coat around herself tighter.

"Why couldn't we go see Art?" Gabrielle mumbled, clearly upset.

"We have all year. Don't worry, we will see him tomorrow." Fleur said gently, patting her head.

The group was stopped by a large Thunderbird patronus. The Thunderbird's mouth started moving but nothing was said. Fleur let out a giggle causing the students and Madame Maxime to look at her.

"A message only the recipient can hear… impressive." she said begrudgingly.

Gabrielle tugged on Fleur's robes, "What did he say?" Knowing that it was Art's patronus.

"He said, 'Your classmates are prats. P.S. You are beautiful.'" Fleur giggled again, her beautiful face looking stunning and causing the boys to lose their souls for a second.

"Pff, doesn't even talk about me." Gabrielle pouted, "Stupid Art."

Fleur rubbed her head again and boarded into the carriage.

The twins didn't show up in the dorms until late and went straight to bed. Art smiled to himself and was curious about what those magpies were up to.

In the morning, Art found that the twins had already left before he woke up. He chuckled to himself and got dressed and checked out his appearance in the mirror. Satisfied with what he saw, he made his way down to the Great Hall where everyone was keeping an eye on the Goblet of Fire.

Sitting down at the Gryffindor table, he turned and asked, "Who has put there name in?"

"A couple of Slytherins and the Durmstrang gang put it this morning." Hermione said.

The Beauxbaton crew came in and placed their names in the cup, Fleur flashed Art a smile.

Art walked up to her and planted a kiss on her cheek, causing everyone to stare. Fleur turned red and gave him a light punch to the c.h.e.s.t.

"It is my birthday. I should be asking for something more." Art said with a devilish grin, his eyes looking at Fleur's c.h.e.s.t.

This caused her to turn a deeper shade of red and flashed Art an angry look. She stood on her toes and gave him a peck on the lips and whispered, "Happy Birthday."

This caused an uproar in the Great Hall, some people started to clap while others were swearing at Art.

Art tuned them out and focused on Fleur, "That was evil, left me wanting more." he said trying to grab her waist.

She avoided his hands and sat down at the Ravenclaw table, giving him another smile.

Art shook his head and returned to his table.

"Anybody have a quill and a piece of parchment?" he asked.

Hermoine quickly gave him both, a bitter look on her face. He quickly wrote his name down on the parchment and walked to the middle of the Great Hall, up to the Goblet of Fire and placed his name in.

Most of the students from Hogwarts started to clap and cheer.

Art smiled, looking at Cedric who was talking to Cho. He shook his head and walked up to the Goblet and placed his name in as well. Art clapped loudly before swinging his arm around Cedric's shoulders.

"I hope one of us are drawn so we can bring glory to Hogwarts." Art smirked.

Cedric simply nodded along with a smile, picturing himself winning the tournament.

Suddenly the twins came into the hall holding a small bottle above their heads.

"Just finished it this morning! Already taken a few drops!" Fred said triumphantly.

Art glanced at the potion and recognized it as an Ageing Potion. He didn't say anything and simply shook his head. If Dumbledore's Age Line was so easily beat it would be an embarrassment on his part. The twins jumped over the Age Line and started to celebrate before two beams of light shot them out of the circle.

When they stood up, they both had long gray beards which caused the hall to erupt in laughter, including the twins.

"You should go see Madam Pomfrey, she is also taking care of a few others who thought of ageing themselves." Dumbledore's voice came from the Great Hall entrance, a smile on his face.

The twins left the Great Hall, laughing and smiling at each other.

Art boldly went over to the head table where some teachers were sitting. He approached Madame Maxime.

"Madame Maxime, I was wondering if I could show Fleur around Hogwarts grounds, with your permission of course." Art said respectively in french.

Madame Maxime looked at Art carefully and then glanced at Fleur. She clearly was hesitant to let Fleur get closer her potential opponent but seeing Fleur's eager face she sighed.

"I think she would like that very much, thank you. Please take Gabrielle with you as well, in case she causes trouble." Maxime said, a cunning light in her eyes.

Art was bitter in his heart but showed a brilliant smile on the outside, "Thank you very much." he said with a small nod.

He went over to the Ravenclaw table and grabbed Fleur's hand and guided her out of the Great Hall, Gabrielle yelling at him while she followed behind.

---

Art was a great guide, showing them the grounds, the dorms, towers and even the Forbidden Forest. Art and Fleur walked hand in hand while Gabrielle ran around asking questions.

They were sitting under a tree looking over the great lake. Fleur had her back in Art's c.h.e.s.t while his arms wrapped around her. Gabrielle was trying to catch a Bowtruckle who continued to hide from her.

Art simple reached his hand up and a Bowtruckle jumped on his finger, infuriating Gabrielle.

Laughing, Art waved his hand and a jar of woodlice soon appeared.

"Try feeding them." he said, handing the jar to Gabrielle.

She was ecstatic and started to draw out the Bowtruckles with food. Fleur snuggled deeper into Art's arms.

"It is not going to be a fair competition if you are picked." she mumbled.

"Tough fight for second place." Art murmured her ear, a c.o.c.ky smile on his face.

"Don't get to arrogant. The tasks will be very challenging and accidents do happen. Be careful." Fleur said quietly.

"I haven't even been chosen yet. But don't worry, I will protect you." he whispered, kissing her ear.

A shiver ran down Fleur's body causing her breath to become ragged.

"Behave!" she snapped, looking over at Gabrielle playing with the Bowtruckles.

"Sorry. You look so beautiful though, making it tough for me." Art laughed, breathing in her scent.
