Robot For A Boyfriend

As Kaine walks down the hallway, still diligently carrying Emily, a man in a high-ranking solider uniform with one sleeve rolled up walks by and scoffs at them. "If you're gonna cut yourself, here's a tip: keep your blood in your room and people won't stare." Emily notices that the soldier's arm has multiple scars on it, but three quarters of them are in a pattern. Emily looks behind Kaine to the hallway floor and sees a trail of blood, leading back to her freshly cut forearms. A tear crawls down her cheek as she shoves her face back into Kaine's c.h.e.s.t.

Kaine sits at Emily's bedside while the nurse bandages the wounds. "Now miss, you lost a lot of blood. Actually, I'm surprised you didn't pass out! We would like your permission to start a blood transfusion." The nurse says while organizing the food tray and putting it on the stand in front of Emily. Emily looks over at Kaine who nods his head yes, but Emily looks back at the nurse and says: "No thank you. I think I'll be fine." The nurse smiles and says: "Ok, let me know if there's anything you need." She walks out of the room and shuts the door quietly.

Kaine pulls up an confused face on his screen. "Emily, why did you not want a blood transfusion? It would get you on your feet quicker." Emily looks at Kaine with a confident expression on her face. "It just makes me sick to think about someone else's blood in my body. If I did that, I don't think I'd feel whole, like I wouldn't feel like my self." Emily says with bright eyes. Kaine has a calm face now, adding: "I wouldn't want you to feel any less amazing as you are now."
