Robot For A Boyfriend

"Shoot." Emily says. "Did you happen to have a weird dream last night?" Kaine asks in a calm yet worried voice. "Now that you mention it, I did. I dreamt that my dad died and I killed myself. Pretty sad." She chuckles. Kaine keeps silent for a second, a blank expression, showing no signs of what he's thinking.

After a few seconds, he says "Do you know what loops are?" Emily thinks for a second and replies "What the heck is a loop?" Kaine does the robot equivalent of sighing and says "Loops are an ability that robots developed 50 years after we were sent here. Each loop is made by a robot killing all important people to them. They don't need to kill everyone, but just those close to them, like friends and family."

Emily is silent for a little and then asks "What TV shows have you been watching?" She asks jestingly. Kaine responds "This is no joke. I alone have created about 1,423." Emily sits and ponders over this. "How many have I been in?" She asks in a way that makes Kaine feel as if she believes in what he's saying. "Only 7. Not including this one." He says adding a smiley face on his screen.
