Ron Weasley: A Noble's Ascension

Chapter 2 - The First Step.

The very night of his rebirth, Elias... Ron was anxiously trying to figure out how he ended up inside a movie. He'd of course hadn't gone out of his way to see kid movies but as many of the older members from his gang had kids he'd seen them.

The only reason he'd even remembered them was due to him having such a shitty childhood, and watching Saturday morning cartoons was his only escape. Magic was a big part of that since many of the heroes in the cartoons had some sort of super power or magic to help them out something he'd always wished he had, to fight off his piece of shit stepdad.

He was also able to remember who this guy was or atleast who he grew up to be, Ron Weasley the third wheel of the group. A poor loser who's biggest accomplishment was being friends with Harry Potter.

"*Why couldn't I be Harry or atleast Malfoy!? Why'd I get stuck with this useless guy?*"

"*Sigh*"

"*What am I going to do? I don't want to be some no name Loser... but if the movies were right, in this world you needed one of two things talent or wealth both of which Ron sorely lacks.*"

Looking around the room he currently was in, he couldn't help but sigh again. The walls would creak and shake every time the wind blew, making it seem like the entire building would crumble at the lightest touch.

"*Well I was poorer before, and although it sucks to be poor again in this life, atleast I have magic! I used to sell rock to get by, so how hard can it be to make money here?*"

Changing his mindset he tried his hardest to remember everything he could about the movies. He needed every little bit of help he could come up with, first he started to think about his family situation. From what he remembered Ron's dad was an office worker at the Ministry of Magic and his mother was a housewife and of course he had 5 brothers and a sister, which hadn't been born yet.

"*Since I've just been born and I think that his sister was two... no, one year younger than me, so that means she's supposed to be born next year.*"

He also thought about Harry and Hermione his best friends to be, but quickly changed topics since they weren't important right now, not until 11 years later. What he needed was to get rich and good at magic and fast, which were his biggest problems.

Money wise, he wasn't in a good place, being a baby he couldn't possibly go out and earn money and his parents weren't going to get richer anytime soon. He knew that years of hand me downs and used products awaited him for the foreseeable future. At least until he could speak and talk then he might be able to do something about his financial situation.

As far as Magic, he only remembered four spells from the movies. Lumos, Wingardium Leviosa, Expecto Patronum and Avada Kedarva. The first since It was often used in the movies by everyone, the second was Hermoine's famous line the third being Harry's and the fourth because it was Voldermorts.

"*Hmm, since getting money isn't an option right now, I guess I'll have to continuously practice magic. Lumos was the first one they learned so it should be easy, I don't have a wand but I do have my 15 y/o mind, so maybe that'll give me an edge.*"

Laying down on the makeshift crib which was just a basket with several blankets on top a self rocking table he concentrated on the spell. From the movies Lumos was supposed to be a spell that summoned light. So he stretched out his chubby baby fingers and imaged the scene from the movie, the small white light.

"*Lumos.*"

After chanting the spells name in his head he opened his eyes but didn't see any light, not even a small spark.

"*I guess this is really hard without a wand... but what else do I have to do at 11:00 in the night? Might as well keep at it.*"

"*Lumos*"

"*Lumos*"

"*Lum...*"

The next day Ron was able to see what an actual day in the life of a wizarding family looked like. His new mother Molly Weasley woke him up at 5:45 in the morning and began to b.r.e.a.s.t feed him which wasn't as awkward as he thought. It helped that she was the complete opposite of his last mother, kind, cheerful and didn't ignore him, as for the feeding he simply closed his eyes and ate, it wasn't like he had another choice. After feeding he saw his father Arthur Weasley get ready for work, as for his brothers the two eldest ate breakfast while the other three played around with the twins bothering the other one. Only when his mother called out to each of them did he remember all of their names, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George.

"*The twins Fred and George got along with Ron and his friends the most, as for the others they didn't appear too much in the movies, I only remember that Bill is attacked by Greyback, Percy becomes a Prefect and Charlie worked with Dragons.*"

What did catch his attention was how his mother cleaned the house, it was all done through magic. The dishes were washing themselves, clothes and blankets were being sewn by two floating needles, and with a wave of her wand all the dust vanished. To his brothers this was a normal occurance nothing they hadn't seen before but to Ron it was the greatest thing he'd ever seen.

Last night he kept trying to use the Lumos Spell but failed even after 100 tries yet his mother was able to control every aspect of the house like It was nothing.

"*I really need to get better at it... I might've been given this body but I won't be some loser, I'll become the strongest and wealthiest wizard ever.*"

After his father returned and they had dinner he was sent to rest, he of course wasn't tired but most baby's were so he didn't have a choice. His mother went to bed with him while his father and brothers stayed downstairs talking about quidditch which if he remembered correctly was the flying sport the Wizards played.

"*I think mom's finally asleep, time to practice.*:

"*Lumos*"

"*Lumos*"

Ron continued to practice and even after his father came up to bed he continuously kept reciting the same spell. It didn't matter to him if he failed because he'd already seen magic he knew it was real and he knew that he'd eventually be able to use it. All he wanted was to get it sooner, he wanted to use magic as soon as possible.

"*Lumos*"

"*Lumos*"

Nothing.

"*Lumos*"

"*Lumos*"

"*Lumos*"

After reapeated failure he concentrated harder but also changed the mental image he had of spell, instead of the movie scene he changed it to an image of a small light on top his finger. Hoping that was what was stopping him he exhaled and closed his eyes trying to deepen his concentration.

"*Lumos*"

Opening his eyes they turned bright and he almost cried of joy, because on top his right index finger was a small white light. To anyone else it probably wasn't even worth noting but for him that small light was his first step in becoming a wizard.

"*I did it!! I really did it! This is the moment that Ron Weasley the Great Wizard is born!*"
