Ron Weasley: A Noble's Ascension

Chapter 5 - 6 years later.

Six Years Later

>1986 The Burrow<

It was a great day in the Weasley household, Bill and Charlie had come back from Hogwarts for winter break and the whole family was enjoying breakfast at the table. At least everyone except Ron who was nowhere to be seen, which had became a normal occurance.

"Is that boy still up there reading!?"

His mother angrily asked as she looked at her husband who'd always protected him. He of course thought that if his son was really gifted and wanted to learn why shouldn't he let him, specially when he never caused any trouble.

"Mollywobbles he's just reading, it's fine."

"Don't Mollywobbles me Arthur! You defend him too much, he should come down here and eat with his family!"

With that said she stood up and stormed up the stairs with her wand ready to give him a spanking.

Back at the table everyone was making bets as to how Ron would escape, Fred and George of course were the bookies.

"Me and Charlie have 5 sickles that he doesn't escape."

"Alright Bill and Charlie down for 5 Sickles-"

"What about you Percy?"

"I'm not betting and you guys shouldn't either!"

"Daddy I want to bet too, 50 Knuts!"

"Oh, are you going to-"

"Cover Ginny's bet dad?"

"Ha ha ha, fine, but don't tell your mother "

Meanwhile Ron was up in his room reading The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 3, which was the hardest book that his brother Bill had. It was a third year book that had more advanced spells and charms then last years book.

"The Cheering Charm, is a charm that makes the target feel elated. When the charm is overdone, it can cause the victim to be overcome with fits of hysterical laughter"

"*Hmm, then you could technically use this as torture? I wonder what else-"

Suddenly he stopped reading, closed the book and headed towards the window. He'd heard his mom's footsteps and knew that if he stayed she'd spank him which was really embarrassing.

-

> Molly's POV<

"*That Arthur, I told him that he shouldn't dote on Ron so much now he barely listens to me. All day sitting around reading every book he can get his hands on, but a good spanking will show him.*:

"Ron! Didn't I tell you to go downstairs for breakf-"

Looking around his neat room she couldn't find him, she opened the wardrobe under the bed but couldn't find any trace of him.

"*Don't tell me he's learned some weird magic now...*"

She became suspicious so she pointed her wand towards the middle of the room.

"Revelio!"

Finding nothing she becane worried since he ever rarely left his room much less the house As she was running downstairs she began to yell that he'd gone missing.

"Arthur! Arthur! Ron's missing! I've look all over for him but I can't find him."

"But I'm here, mom."

To her surprise when she turned towards the voice there he was sitting next to Percy while eating a turkey leg. She didn't understand until she saw that everyone was trying to stop themselves from laughing.

"Where did you go!?"

"Huh, I was in the bathroom, after that I came down to eat like you told me to. Did I do something wrong?"

Thanks to his young appearance Ron's innocent act worked wonders on everyone, except his mother who whisked him with a Levitation charm towards the living room for a spanking. His father and brothers looked at him with pity but didn't dare step up to his mom, since they might also received a spanking.

His mother then called for a wooden paddle that would spank him while ahe went back to the table. As he was floating in the air while being spanked Ron couldn't help but sigh.

"*Mom, never falls for it... Oh well atleast I can practice Arresto Momentum.*"

Using the slowing charm he was able to slow down the wodden paddle right as it was going to strike him. As such he never felt any pain atleast not physical since it did take alot of concentrarion and focus to stop it at just the right time.

"*I'm making progress, although the Levitation charm I used when I jumped out the window could have gone better. I'm sure that kids my age could've never pulled that off, and I should already be stronger than the original Ron at the start of the first movie."

After being homeschoole'd by his mother he realized that contrary to the movies, Ron wasn't talentless he was just an Idiot snob. His theory was then confirmed when he talked with his brother Bill, according to him chantless and wandless magic was almost impossible for normal wizards, even purebloods could barely accomplish it. Yet when he was just a few months old he was able to summon the smallest of lights from his Lumos charm with out a chant or wand. That gave him great relief since as long as he wasn't close minded and dumb like the movie version of himself, his dream of becoming the strongest Wizard was plausible.

Once his spanking ended his mother undid the levitation charm on him and he fell on the floor. He could've used his own to not fall, but there was a difference between being a genius and a monster. So he'd decided not to show his parents his chantless and wandless magic, not until he learned Occlumency something he'd seen in the film's and read from one of his father's older books. With it he could prevent a Legilimens from accessing his thoughts, feelings, or influencing him. Legilimens was the opposite which allowed the user to do those things to others. These were the two subjects he was most interested in and the hardest to find any information on, but they were necessary since he didn't want to be someone's pawn.

"*I've already checked dad's office and he doesn't have anything on either subject as for Bill none of his books contain anything either.*"

As he was thinking how to get more information on the two he overheard his brother bill asking to go to Diagon Alley.

"Dad, my cauldron broke a few weeks ago and I wanted to get another one, before I return to Hogwarts."

"Eh, that cauldron was perfectly fine Bill, are you sure you took care of it?"

"Yes mother, I borrowed one from a friend just to not fail the class, and you know how strict Snape is."

His mother sighed before she looked at her husband who nodded, they weren't in the best of financial situations but they knew Bill was a good student who cared for his studies.

"Alright, get the Floo powder!"

Hearing that they were going to go to Diagon Alley he jumped at the chance, he'd wanted to go last year but his mother wouldn't let him. So now he could go see the magical place that was so stunning in the film's.

"No you don't Ron! You're staying here with me and Ginny, if all of you go you'll just cause trouble for your father"

Not wanting to be left behind again he turned to his brother Percy and asked to take his place.

"Percy let me go please? You went last time, let me go this time."

"Sorry Ro-"

"I mean that's what a good elder brother would do, he'd also be responsible and help mom out."

Knowing that his brother was a bit more inclined to follow the rules and subsequently help others, he used it against him.

"Fine, but don't cause trouble for dad."

"Okay! Mom, Percy said he'd stay and I could take his spot!"

"Go on then but if I hear from your father that you caused trouble you're getting spanked again."

Having heard that he ran towards his father who was holding a small bowl with a grey powder. Then Bill grabbed a handful, entered their large chimney and dropped the powder while stating the d.e.s.i.r.ed location.

"Diagon Alley!"

Then the grey powder burst and green flames encased him before he'd vanished, After Bill it was Charlie's turn followed by the twins and them him. He was a bit nervous thinking that he was actually going to the magical alley but grabbed the powder and entered the chimney.

"Diagon Alley!"
