Ron Weasley: A Noble's Ascension

As Ron's words began to fade Draco along with the other Slytherin's glared at him. Although they were a bit afraid of Ron after their last encounter, that took place behind closed doors and without a Professor present.

Now with Professor Flitwick being a witness they knew that Ron couldn't simply cast spells at them. At least not if he wanted to face serious repercussions for casting spells against other students.

Ron of course knew what they were thinking since they all had smug faces as they looked his way. He responded with his signature grin, which caused one person to back away from Draco. This was proven to be a smart choice as Ron seemingly turned to speak to Prof. Flitwick before he fired a spell towards Draco.

" Alarte Ascendare!"

The pompous blond boy was sent crashing up to the ceiling, Ron hadn't held back his power causing Draco to get knocked unconscious on impact. When his unmoving body was falling down the short Professor quickly casted a levitation charm to stop him in mid air.

" Ronald! What did you do!?"

"... "

There was no reply as Ron never even glanced at what he'd done. Instead he went over to Daphne and Hermione who were also stunned at his actions.

Daphne was obviously nervous and fearful but after a slight nod by Ron she whispered something in Hermione's ear causing her to settle down.

Once Professor Flitwick was able to safety bring Draco down he was bombarded by shouts from the Slytherin's.

" Professor, why haven't you taken away Points from Ravenclaw!?

" Points aren't enough! He should get Expelled!!!"

" Yes! He should be expelled!"

" Expelled! Expelled! Expelled!"

Now that things had gotten this far Prof. Flitwick didn't know what to do. He thought that after he subtracted a hefty sum of points from Slytherin and threatening them with detention they'd settle down. Yet as things were about to, his most promising pupil attacked another student right in front of him.

"* What am I going to do!? There has been some precedent before but... *"

" Ronald, hand over your Wand. You're coming with me to the Headmaster's Office to receive your punishment. As for now 100 Points from Ravenclaw... "

Albeit downcast Professor Flitwick drew his wand and pointed it towards Ron. Who nodded before handed his wand over to him.

" 100 Points... "

" And he's going to receive a harsher punishment from the Headmaster."

" Serves him right!"

" I hope he gets expelled!"

As whispers broke out Prof. Flitwick asked for Draco's two lackeys to take him to the hospital wing. While he escorted Ron to Dumbledor's Office, Ron didn't say anything on the matter and followed after the Professor out the classroom.

" Daph are you sure Ron's going to be okay?"

" Yes, I'm sure. Ron has never lied to me before... "

" It's all that idiot Draco's fault! If he wasn't always insulting others he wouldn't have gotten thrown up to the ceiling."

Millicent who was off to the side with the rest of the Slytherin's laughing at Ron's expected expulsion heard Hermione's words and sent another snarky remark their way.

" What are you two still doing here? Shouldn't you be packing your trunks so you can follow after that Fake Pureblood?"

Her comment led to both girls thinking about what they'd do if Ron really did get expelled. Daphne made up her mind very quickly deciding to follow Ron while Hermione had to seriously consider her choices.

"* It doesn't matter even if he gets expelled, I'll follow Ron to wherever he goes.*"

"* Ron and Daphne are my friends but could I leave behind everything I know and go with them...? *"

They weren't the only ones in deep thought as the boy who'd gotten away from Draco seconds before Ron's spell was also pondering something. The other's were a chubby blond boy, a tall Asian girl and a petite Slytherin girl, who all had faces of mixed emotions as they stared at the now closed Classroom door.

On their way to the Third Floor and subsequently Dumbledor's Office Prof. Flitwick kept sneaking glances as the apparent downcast Ron.

"* Today was supposed to be our first day of Dueling Training, but now he'll be lucky to remain in school. Knowing that boy's father he'll demand Ronald's expulsion and even try to get the Ministry involved somehow. *"

*Sigh*

"* Hopefully the Headmaster will be able to keep Ronald in the school, it would be such a waste to let someone with his Genius leave the school in such a manner.*"

In an attempt to lighten the awful mood Prof. Flitwick asked Ron where he'd learn to use, Alarte Ascendare since it was quite the difficult spell. Ron slightly turned his head away from the Professor before answering in a low voice.

" My Aunt, she's the one who taught me... Professor?"

" Yes?"

" I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done attacked Draco, even if he is an Insufferable Twat. I know I let you down and for that I apologise. I'll also might not be able to get your help with my Duelist Training now... "

Seeing the normally charming and confident Ron being so downhearted Prof. Flitwick felt a great sense of indignation. Specially since Ron only acted after Draco's nasty insult towards Ron's female friend.

" Ronald I obviously can't promise you a light punishment, but you have my word that I'll explain exactly what happened for you to act in the way you did."

Hearing his words the seemingly depressed Ron's face lit up and bowed to the little Professor.

" Thank you Professor! I'm deeply grateful for your kind words and I promise to get my emotions under control. I'd hate to make you lose face after you'd go to such lengths for someone like me."

Glad that Ron was once again in high spirits Prof. Flitwick hardened his conviction to not let him get expelled. Continuing up the stairs towards their destination the Professor wasn't able to notice Ron's "Grateful" attitude and demeanor slowly fading away before being replaced with his regular Confident composure.

"* I'll soon be one step closer to getting my hands on the purified Ravenclaw Diadem.*"
