RWBY: Fireborn

The next day Logan, Tai, Yang, and Ruby were outside in the open space beside the house. Logan and Yang were sparing with each other, with Tai acting as a ref. and Ruby holding a camera, recording the fight. Tat looked at the two of them and asked:

Tai: "You sure this is how you want to test your armor? You could just put it on a rack or something? Yang's punch is no joke."

Yang: "Yea, I could seriously hurt you. I like to at least help, but this is dangerous, and that's coming from me! You sure you want to do this?"

Logan: "I'll be fine, this may be a prototype, but I trust it and your judgement. Besides, I won't be standing still, and you won't have an easy time ether, Blondie."

Logan said this to tick her off, and to have her take this seriously. Logan was wearing 'Sensō', his new armor prototype. Logan said this clearly, even though he was wearing his helmet, It cover his face with a plate mask-like front, while the rest bulked-out on the sides, the eyes were connected by a red visor. His armor consist of a piece covering the upper part of his c.h.e.s.t with a small collar wrapping around to his back, while three segmented pieces cover his mid-drift. His arms were covered with a pair of armored gloves, bracers, and large, rectangular shoulder plates. Around his waist was simple armored belt with pouches, on the back of it was a large Kukri blade attached by magnets. Logan's legs were the least covered, there were shin guards covering his knees and the top of his boots. While his t.h.i.g.hs had two large, empty pistol holsters on each. The words 'Prototype mk1' was marked on the left side of the c.h.e.s.t-piece, under it was Logan's triple crest.

Yang: "You do know that I hate that, RIGHT?"

Logan: "I wouldn't have called you that if I wasn't serious."

Qrow: "What did I come back to, Tai? I'm gone for less than an a month and Hell-sent over there is looking more sinister then ever."

Qrow appeared by Tai and Ruby. Qrow looked at Tai questionably with a tilt of his head. Hell-sent being Logan's nickname, given to him by Qrow and Tai.

Logan: "Oh, hey whiskey breath, I'm just getting ready to test my new armor. Right now, it's in the basic assault form. I have to test it somehow, and Yang volunteered for me."

Yang: "More like 'volun-told', now are we gonna fight or what!"

Yang launched herself at Logan using her gauntlets, 'Ember Celica'. While they appear to be a pair of bracelets at first, but when activated, they cover Yang's hands and forearms in gauntlets, acting as arm guards, as well as shotguns. The gauntlets have a golden color with black out-lines and the shells inside are red and orange. Using the explosive force of her weapon, she flew towards Logan while he was talking to Qrow. Logan was sent flying back, landing and rolling to his feet. Logan, finally getting his head into the game, saw as Yang was flying towards him again. As she arrived, before she could hit, Logan pushed her left arm aside with one hand and grabbing behind her gauntlet, the other grabbing near her armpit. Logan then flipped her over his head while still holding her and slamming her into the ground, before she could react, Logan sun once and through her back the way she came.

Yang: "wahhh...ouch... Why are you so fast! If it was Ruby I could understand. But by the time you reacted, I could have sworn to have hit you again!"

Logan: "You had me at first with that punch, but as you know already, I have crazy reaction times. But you nearly did, half a pace faster and I wouldn't have been able to counter. You've improved, Yang."

Logan complemented Yang's improvement, before he attacked on his own this time. As Logan drew close, Yang stood and swung a right straight at Logan's face. Logan swayed his head to the side dodging and retaliated with a left uppercut and Yang dodges to the side and lands a left jab and right hook to Logan's c.h.e.s.t. Logan felt the blows to his armor, but ignored them and continued with his attack. He returned the blows with a left-right combo, followed by a knee to her gut and a chopping right. Yang returned them with a smashing left to Logan's helmet's jaw, ripping the helmet off his head followed by several quick shots to his c.h.e.s.t. Logan hopped back to escape from the furry of blows and giving Yang a high kick to her jaw and a heel-drop to her shoulder forcing her to elbow the ground. Yang raised her other arm up and shot him in his mid-rift with her gauntlet. As Logan was forced back a few feet, Logan finally drew his kukri. As Yang got up, Logan charged her and swung at her mid-rift, before the blade could touch her, the blade collided with her aura barrier and bounced off. This time Yang grabbed him and through his away. As he slammed the ground, he slapped his hand on the ground and activated his semblance causing two stone pillars to rise up from the ground and rush towards Yang, causing her to block with her gauntlets and still be pushed back. Yang's hair started to glow like fire as her semblance was activated, as she rushed Logan, he slapped both of his hands on the ground causing multiple stone pillars to rise up from the ground, blocking her path. Yang used her gauntlets to maneuver around the pillars at high speed, while Logan brought a stone dome up around him hiding him from her. As Yang reached the dome, she struck with her semblance and created a crater were it was. Yang looked around the crater trying to find Logan, who was no were to be found. Suddenly, several pillars popped up and latched on to her arms, legs, and neck, causing her to be restrained, than the earth rose up around her body, covering her except her head and hair. As she realized she had lost, a huge cascade of water hit her and soaked her head and hair.

Yang: "Okay! I get it! I lost, and you didn't have to give me a shower!"

Logan: "Sorry, already had that ready in-case you broke out, here let me dry you."

Logan popped out of the ground a few feet away from Yang. As he got to her, he started to gather a gentle wind in his hand and slowly brought it to her hair. As he was slowly drying Yang's hair, Tai and Ruby descended down to them.

Tai: "Nice job, both of you. Yang you sure have improved from before. And Logan, even with your armor, you can't take hits like that. It's only a prototype, but who knows what would happened in a real fight. You gotta be careful, but still, nice job. It held up quite nicely, except that your helmet flew off. Qrow went to get it by the way."

Ruby: "That was so cool! You two were amazing, even though we were back a bit, I could feel it back there. Oh, I also recorded it like you asked, Logan. By the way, why don't you use your fire to dry Yang's hair faster?"

Logan: "I don't feel comfortable with it just yet, as I only use them in the forge, I really can't control the temperature just yet. I don't want to burn her hair off. Plus I'm being kind and getting all the dirt out for her."

Yang: "Thanks, and if you did, I will kill you."

Logan: "Dully noted. There all done."

Logan released Yang from her stone prison. As she got up, Qrow returned with Logan's helmet, which was now heavily fractured and cracked from Yang's blow. As Logan thanked Qrow, Tai ushered them in the house for lunch and for Yang and Logan to wash up. Unbeknown to them, they were being watched, especially Logan.
