RWBY: Fireborn

As Logan, Ruby, and Jaune walked towards the auditorium, Ruby noticed his armor and weapons. She stared for a bit, before asking. Nagini, however, was currently flying around nearby them as she was ecstatic about the scenery of the school.

Ruby: "Hey, isn't that sword 'Muramasa', the one that was incomplete? Plus the 'Jackals'? Why do you have them?"

Logan: "I had finished 'Muramasa' about two months ago. As for the 'Jackals', they were finished a while ago. And I can guarantee that they're ready for combat"

Jaune: " 'Muramasa'? Isn't that the blade from a story from Mistral? A blade that can cut through anything? And aren't the 'Jackals' the same from Sanus? A pair of jackals that could fight Hunters?

Logan: "Yea, I named them after those stories due to their abilities. For 'Muramasa', I used a steel called 'Aura-steel' in an alloy that forms the blade of it. The steel has the ability to enhance the blade's durability, edge retention, and sharpness if you put in some of your aura or some Dust."

The trio stopped as Logan drew the sword from its scabbard. Ruby and Jaune were mesmerized at the sight of the pearl white sword. Smiling, Logan grabbed Jaune's hand and placed the sword in it; as Jaune held the work of art, he was surprised.

Jaune: "It's so light. I thought it would be heavier from the way it looks. I have to say, it's beautiful."

Ruby: "I only seen it in the sketch. Why didn't you tell me you were building it! I would have helped you! I had so many ideas!"

Logan: "Well, for one, your ideas were outrageous. You wouldn't have stopped until it would be unusable as the first one was to make it longer, wider, and add a flamethrower to it. What I wanted was something that could fit with my style. Besides, I had to stop you from adding rocket boosters to 'Crescent Rose' the one time." (It's a Twins of Rose reference. Good story.)

Jaune had finished admiring the sword and handed it back. As he did, he accidentally pressed the trigger on the handle of 'Muramasa', causing the bottom to open. Jaune jumped and very nearly dropped it. Logan caught it and sheathed it and close the open hatch of the sword.

Logan: "What you opened was the port for dust tubes to inject dust on to the blade, so no harm done. But, do not drop it again, ok? Now for the 'jackals', I based them off of a few different things. I based 'Jack' here, off of the Sand-Bird 50 auto (Desert Eagle), and "Jessie' off of the Sage & Windsor 500 magnum revolver (S&W 500 Mag). 'Jack' is a semi-auto magnum pistol that fires highly compressed aura slugs that can punch a hole in an Ursa with ease. As for 'Jessie', she is an electromagnetic rail-gun in a revolver sized case. She is almost 100 times more powerful then a normal 500 magnum without the kick, shoots Dust coated rounds that can pierce a Nevermore at a hundred meters, and all in a nice length of 20 inches (50.8cm) and a weight of 5 pounds (2267.96 grams). To top it all off, it has a 10 round, decagon cylinder. Both are made from an alloy of Titanium, Steel, and Chromium. You can't ask for better sidearms anywhere else."

As Logan bragged to Ruby and Jaune, they looked at him like he was crazy. Both thought that the sword alone was a masterpiece. But with the guns were major over kill. He could make a killing as a hunter or militarily exclusive weapon manufacturer. He could be rich! As he had taken them out and was showing them.

Ruby: "You amazing! You could be rich if you sold those blueprints to anyone! But knowing you, you wouldn't even dare as their too dangerous for anyone."

Jaune: "If Atlas found out, they would hire you in a heartbeat! Haven't you talked to anyone like that? You wouldn't have to be a Hunter, you could live an easy life if you wanted to."

Logan hearing their words just smiled. Nagini hearing the commotion flew back over and landed on Ruby's shoulder. Ruby absentmindedly scratched her head as she landed. Logan put the 'Jackals' back in their holsters and looked at Jaune, the smile not leaving his face.

Logan: "Jaune, my mother taught me to believe in one thing. That's Karma. She taught me that 'do good things and good things will happen to you; and if you do bad, you better learn to duck as it comes back with a vengeance'. I didn't believe her until I was 7, I watched a man steal a elderly woman's purse, run 5 steps and knee a fire-hydrant. When the police got there, he had to be rushed to the hospital for a shattered kneecap. When I was 8, I played a prank on my father and ended up running in to some barrels. At 9, I watched my father trip on air after he knocked a clothes-line down and tried to hide from my mother."

Jaune: "One, ow. Two, my mother believes in karma as well, and I can see why from your experience with it."

Logan: "They also taught me that people deserved a another chance if they mess up. They deserve a chance to redeem themselves, however, I'm starting to believe that not all do. The deal with Roman was the first time that I doubted their words, he just seemed evil outright. I'm sure that if we meet again, my mind won't change that fact."

Ruby: "It's okay. Sometimes it's better to figure out things yourself, than having others tell you."

Jaune: "She's right. It's better to go through life with your own choices then have people do it for you. By the way, do you know where we are?"

The trio had started walking in a random direction after Logan had put his guns away. They were somewhere in the school that had a simple rose garden. Logan gave the place a quick look around, trying to find a landmark. Giving up he looked to Nagini on Ruby's shoulder.

Logan: "Hey Nagini, can you show us back to the cliff?"

Nagini chirped once and flew off in a direction. As the trio quickly followed behind. As the soon arrived at the cliff, Logan thanked Nagini as she returned to his shoulder. The three then rushed off to the auditorium as fast as they could with Ruby in the lead, followed close behind by Logan and Jaune. As they reached the auditorium with barely any time remaining. Once they entered, Logan and Ruby split up from Jaune, as they said their goodbyes, a voice called to Logan and Ruby.

???: "Ruby! Logan! Over here! I saved you guys a spot!"

As they looked to see who it was, they saw a well endowed, long blonde hair beauty waving at them, Yang. She wearing a tan jacket that bares her midriff, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons; while underneath this, she wears a low cut yellow crop top with her emblem which appears to be a burning heart on the left b.r.e.a.s.t in black. A brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip-to-hip around the back of her waist, with her emblem emblazoned on the right-most pleat in gold. Underneath is a long, white, asymmetrical piece of material reaching to her knee on the right side, as well as a pair of black short shorts, a pair of brown, knee-high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. She had tied a gray bandanna around her left knee. An orange infinity scarf and black finger-less gloves completed her outfit. Logan and Ruby walked over to her.

Logan: "Hey Yang!"

Ruby: "Yang!"

Yang: "So how's your first day so far you two?"

Ruby: "After you left me, I was pushed in to a girl's luggage and nearly exploded! If it wasn't for Logan, I would have been blasted off the cliff-side."

Yang: "Wow, you almost had a melt down already?"

Logan: "No, she was literally almost blasted off the cliff-side. I had just arrived when it happened. I had to rescue both of them from it."

???: "It's true. If it wasn't for him we would have been."

Logan and Ruby turned around to find Weiss behind them. Ruby, not expecting her, jumped into Yang's arms like a cartoon character. Logan smiled at her antics. Nagini had crawled in to his cloaks hood to sleep, not caring about Weiss.

Logan: "Oh, hey Weiss, what's up?"

Ruby realizing that there was no danger climbed down out of Yang's arms.

Weiss: "I realized that I had never said thank you for saving me. I happened to be behind you and decided to thank you and apologize to Ruby for the indecent that almost happened due to my ignorance. I may be called prideful by others, but I realized that a part was my fault. Sorry."

Logan: "Thank you."

Ruby: "Thanks."

Before they could talk anymore, a voice could be heard from the stage in front of them. Professor Opin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy had taken the stage with his cane in hand. Beside him was Professor Goodwitch.

Ozpin: "I'll keep this brief. You have traveled her today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But, as I look among you, all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at this school will prove that knowledge will only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

As he concluded, he left the stage as quickly as he appeared to the students. As he walked off, Professor Goodwitch took up the microphone, bringing all of the student's attention on to her. As she squared her shoulders, she spoke.

Glenda: "You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed!"

As she dismissed everyone, the auditorium was soon ablaze with mutterings and murmurs. Ruby and Yang looked at each other. Weiss watched as Professor Goodwitch leave the stage. And Logan started playing with Nagini as she had came out during the speech.

Yang: "He seemed...kinda off."

Ruby: "Yea, almost as if he wasn't even there."

Jaune had walked over to them as they were dismissed. As he went to talk to Logan. A massive teen of at least 6ft 5in (195.58cm), pushed his way past him and Logan. The teen had burnt-orange hair that is combed backward with a slight peak at the front and indigo eyes. He wears silver-gray armor with gold trim.His c.h.e.s.t-plate sports a bird with its wings outstretched. Underneath the armor, he wears a black shirt with red trimmings and black pants with a red belt tied around his waist. As Logan and Jaune regained their balance, they heard the teen try to swoon Yang into a date.

Cardin: "Hey there, names Cardin, Cardin Winc.h.e.s.ter. How about we ditch this place and find somewhere a little more private? Just you and me."

Logan couldn't help but laugh at his attempt. He had heard a lot from when he was at Signal. But his was pitiful. Cardin hearing him laugh was pissed and turn and screamed as he wildly swung a left haymaker at Logan.

Cardin: "You think it's funny? EAT THIS!!"

Logan didn't bother to try and dodge. He grabbed Cardin's wrist with his left hand and with his right grabbed his belt. As Logan pulled Cardin's wrist out more, he picked Cardin up by his belt and slammed him back first in to the ground. Yang, Ruby, Weiss, and Jaune watched as Logan took down a teen that stood head and shoulders above him with ease. Before Cardin could get up, Logan stood beside him and looked him in the eye without blinking.

Logan: "I laughed because I have heard almost every pick-up line there is. Yours was pathetic beyond belief. Plus, it wouldn't have ended well for you anyway. She would have kicked your a.s.s worse then I just did. So do yourself a favor, walkaway now before it gets worse."

As Logan said all this, he had his right hand on his sword, his left on his gun, and his visor now red. Cardin seeing this chose to do what Logan had said. As he got up and walked away, both Logan and Nagini, who didn't like the sudden movement and had seen what Cardin did, watched him until he disappeared completely.

Weiss: "He's strong."

Yang: "Yep, and dumb-ass there is lucky I didn't hit him or it would have been worse."

Jaune: "How strong is he?"

Ruby: "Back at Signal, during any practical training, he had the entire class, about 18 students, fight him or the three active hunter-teachers spar with him."

Yang: "And as far as we know, he has never been defeated. Our uncle, a active Hunter, even has taken him out on missions and has never come back with a scratch."

Once Logan and Nagini were sure that Cardin was gone, they relaxed their guard. Nagini returned to Logan's hood to sleep once again. And Logan returned to the group.

Logan: "That makes two people that I don't believe can change I have meet."

Weiss was confused at what he meant while the others who knew were surprised. Weiss asked what he meant by that and got an answer she did not expect. She now knew that Logan may be young, but, he was already worldly. They chatted for a bit more before splitting up once again to explore before they had to regroup for the night.

Unbeknownst to him, Professor Goodwitch had watched and recorded what had happened. As she left, she sent the footage to Ozpin. Who in-turn was not surprised by Logan's fight. And all to soon night fell.
