RWBY: Fireborn

2 weeks later on a weekend

Two weeks have passed ever since Auren showed himself to Ozpin and Glynda. After getting a rundown of what happened, they had made a deal to help each other within reason. Now, Logan could be seen hammering away at Jaune's new armor that he asked for as Logan had trashed his shield. He was wearing a dark blue shirt, jeans, black steel toed boots and a leather apron as he worked. As of now, Jaune's new armor consisted of a c.h.e.s.t-plate, pauldrons (shoulder pads), rerebraces (upper arm pads), elbow pads, vambraces, armored gloves, leg and shin guards. For his sword and shield, Logan decided to throw him a bone and revamp them for him. Jaune's sword was made from aura steel and was quite large, to big for Jaune's size. As Logan was pondering how to improve them, he got a call from Ruby. Sending it to his visor, he answered while still working on the armor piece.

[Logan] "Hey, red. What's up?"

[Ruby] "Hey. Team RWBY and JNPR are going out to town to get supplies for school. And I was wondering if we could-"

[Logan] "Let me guess, you want to barrow my 'Eagle-flight' for shopping."

[Ruby] "Is that a no?"

[Logan] "I don't mind as long as you don't crash it. And if you could, buy some bird feed while your out, that would be great."

[Ruby]"Thanks! It's no problem with the bird seed. Anything else you need? And where are you?

[Logan] "I'm out by the workshop and ranch that I was granted. The 'Eagle-flight' is here as well, and have the keys with me. I had to make a material run for Jaune's armor, which is now mostly complete. Can you guys send him so I can get a final fitting done? Won't take more then five minutes."

[Ruby] "No problem, we're on our way with JNPR. See you in five. Bye."

[Logan] "Bye."

As Logan hung up, he heard a quite cough from behind him. There stood a man with messy green hair, sapphire blue eyes, round glasses, and disheveled appearance: his white shirt partially tucked into his dark-green pants and its collar raised, showing a slack yellow tie, along with mismatched brown and black shoes. A teacher named Bartholomew Oobleck. Both a Professor and Doctor, but he prefers to be called doctor. And for some odd reason he was carrying a cardboard box, Logan quickly finished what he was doing and then greeted Oobleck.

[Logan] "Ahh, Doctor Oobleck. What's the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e of this meeting? Did your coffee maker break again?"

[D. Oobleck] "No, thanks to you, it still running like it should. I came to inform you that Professor Port, while checking his weapon, 'Blowhard', ended up malfunctioning and rupturing the barrel. He had injured his hand during the process, and asked me to see if you can replace or repair it."

[Logan] "Depending on the condition, the payment will increase quite drastically. As this is the third time in two weeks that this has happened. And for the price, I'll be kind and reinforce the barrel for him."

[D. Oobleck] "I'll make sure he understands. Thank you."

Doctor Oobleck handed Logan the cardboard box and went as quickly as he appeared. Logan watched as he seemed to glide away, seemingly not moving his legs at all. Logan just shook his head at the sight and turned his attention to Professor Port's mess. Clearing off a spot on his workbench and set the box down and opened it. As Logan opened the box to view the unholy offspring of battleaxe and blunderbuss, was Professor Port's 'Blowhard'. A Blunderbuss with two axe blades on the top and bottom of the stock made up this weapon. As Logan examined the weapon, the trigger and barrel were damaged from what looks like over-pressured ammo being used. And causing the barrel to rupture and damage the trigger from the back blast. As he was checking it, he received another phone-call.

[Logan] "Hello-"

[Annette] "Logan! Thank Monty! It's Annette, Daniel got injured bad! His arms are heavily damaged! A Cerberus grim got a hold of his arms and throw him around! Where are you!?"

[Logan] "Annette, calm down! I'm at Beacon right now. Tell me what's wrong with him."

[Annette] "Okay. (off to a pilot) Quick head to Beacon! (back to Logan) His arms and wings are busted, he's writhing in pain so, probability some shrapnel form his arms are lodged in his body. Several deep cuts to his body and possibly a concussion."

[Logan] "Thanks, now how long before you reach Beacon?"

[Annette] "About three minutes if we push it."

[Logan] "Okay, I'll find help here. Call back when you get here."

Logan hung up and quickly rushed outside of his shop. As he flew out the door, he ran into team Jaune and the rest. Picking himself up off of Jaune, he looked and saw the rest of team JNPR and RWBY there as well. Upon seeing his eyes, they knew something was wrong.

[Logan] "Thank Monty. I need your guys help. Two friends that are Hunters is on their way here and one is critically injured. Ruby, I need you to find Professor Goodwitch; Roxy has been hanging around her and I need both of them. Yang, Nora, and Ren; I need you three to head to the nurse's office and grab medical supplies, bring as much as you can carry. Bandages, antiseptic, surgical tools and thread, anything and everything. Jaune, go to Professor Ozpin's office and inform his of this. Weiss, Blake, and Pyrrha; I need you three here to help with the injured. Blake, you'll be checking Annette, one of them, for any injuries. Weiss, you'll be on ice making duty, I can't make any and operate at the same time if it's needed. Pyrrha, I already figured out your semblance, I need you to stabilize and remove any metal fragments you can. I'll do the rest."

As soon as they heard what was happening, they rushed to do their jobs. Logan rushed back in to his shop and got a big black box, after taping away at his scroll, it turned in to a hovering stretcher. With in two minutes, nearly everyone was back, except for Jaune. As Logan watched the Beacon cliff facing Vale, he spotted a shuttle fast approaching. He raised his arm up and fired three fireballs in to the sky that exploded about 50 feet above them. As the shuttle noticed them, it swiftly approached them as fast as it possibly could.

As it slowed down to a stop, the doors opened and out popped two people. One heavily injured man with robotic arms and one tiny 4ft 8in (142.24) tall, white haired fanus girl. The man was wearing torn up tight blue shirt and baggy pants and black skate shoes. Bandages covered his eyes and part of his face. The girl had white fox-like ears and tail. while she wore a plum purple shirt which had a sapphire blue cross with wings. A similar blue skirt and brown loafers. She had a soft round face and has cherry pink irises. Despite the girls small size, she was carrying the man as he was unconscious. Without missing a beat, everyone began their jobs with little to no verbal communication. Logan placed the injured man on the stretcher and rushed off to his lab followed by everyone. As they entered the Lab, Logan quickly cleared off a table and sanitized it using his fire and wind. Logan quickly ordered everyone and told them their new roles and telling those who were weak to gore to leave. Everyone stayed, and Logan got to work on the injured man, while most of the girls worked on the fanus girl who had light injuries.

Logan started off by disconnecting the man's robotic arms and rolling him on to his back. Tapping on his scroll once again, he turned the stretcher in to a series of surgical tools with they were made from hard-light. As he prepared the surgery, Glynda was rolling her sleeves up to prepare to help Logan. Logan saw this and quickly sanitized both his and Glynda's hands and arms with his water, fire, and wind. As Logan started the surgery, most of the teams looked on and watched with steeled nerves, while a few looked away in horror and disgust. He continued on and worked as fast and carefully as possible; while periodically giving instruction to Glynda and Pyrrha.

1 Hour later

Weiss, Ruby, Nora, and Ren were seen outside Logan's Lab sitting on the ground when Jaune and Ozpin arrived. When Jaune seen them, he rushed to them to see what was happened. Ozpin just walked up behind them and listened in on the conversation.

[Jaune] "Guys, what happened? Mr Ozpin told me that Logan had it under control when I found him. And we were late because of it."

Weiss and Ruby had pale faces while Nora hugged Ren's arm. Ren managed to gain the confidence to speak after what he saw. But that confidence never reached his eyes.

[Ren] "The surgery is still on going. We couldn't handle the sight of it and were unneeded, so we left. Blake stayed with the girl that came with the injured man. Yang as well as she needed to be there if the man woke up to hold him down. Pyrrha, Glynda, and Logan's fox, Roxy, stayed as well to help with the surgery."

As Ozpin listened, he spoke up. This caught the attention of everyone that was present. All eyes turned to him as he spoke.

[Ozpin] "He will be fine. From what young Jaune has told me, Mr Tenebris has everything under control. He may not look the part, but he has a medical and anatomy masters degrees at 17. No other man or woman is as capable as he is. Before he came to Beacon, he would constantly get in trouble at his old combat school for teaching classes for teachers. Due to his wonderful mind and memory, he could have graduated in the first two years of classes at 14, he could have left but he stayed and grew as a person. He is a type of genius that comes around only once every million years. However, if he's not careful, he could easily drive himself insane. I've warned him already and he himself knows this; that's why he needs anchors, people to pull him back from there if need be."

[Nora] "is there anything we could do?"

As everyone nodded their heads, Ozpin looked up at the sky. He seemed to ponder for some time, before taking a deep breath, he spoke. His voice sounded as if he lived through countless lives, and seen just as much.

[Ozpin] "Simple. Be there for him. When he mad, upset, tired, and even in moments of joyous occasion. For it is others that ground us and give us meaning for our lives. For others, wars are waged, deals struck, plans are made, and feeling of connection are formed. For we are never alone when there are people by our side. You don't have to be his friend, you can be his enemy if need be. For sometimes, your enemy is your best and most loyal friend you can have. Hmm? It seems as if they're finished."

Almost on cue, the door to the lab opened and out came several tired looking people. Blake came out supporting Pyrrha as she leaned on he shoulder. As they exited, Blake set Pyrrha down and turned to Jaune. Everyone present could see the tiredness in their eyes.

[Blake] "Jaune, could you head to Logan's room and fetch him a set of clothes? I have to get Ms Goodwitch's and Yang's. Their clothes aren't in the greatest shape from the surgery."

[Jaune] "It's no problem, but are you okay? Why'd you stay? If you weren't needed, you could have left."

[Blake] "I was mesmerized with how much he cares. I learned from Annette, that he made Daniel's arms when no one wanted to look at them. He cared and treated them when he knew that they couldn't pay. They became Hunters to spread the kindness he gave them to any they meet. I.. I've rambled long enough, they need clothes, come on."

As she tried to leave, Blake stumbled. Jaune caught her and placed her arm around his shoulder. As they left for the school, Ozpin looked towards the rest and spoke once again.

[Ozpin] "Ms Schnee, Ms rose, Ms Valkyrie, Mr Lie Ren; please escort Ms Nikos to the school so that she may rest. As well as helping Mr Arc and Ms belladonna. I will see to them, so please do not worry."

The rest complied as they either had no energy or will to see how the surgery had turned out. As they picked themselves up and left, Ozpin walked in as if it was a normal Saturday for him. For him, this was just another day in the many lives he lived.
