IN JNPR's dorm, Pyrrha was looking out of the window sadly, While Nora was asking Ren " How come Jaune gets home so late? "

"He's become rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin." Ren answered

"That's weird... Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!" Nora said

"I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing." Pyrrha said angrily

Nora exchanged glances with Ren and said ""Mmmm... I guess so.""

Unknown to them, Jaune was listening from the outside. He hanged his head low, when he heard other voices around the corner

" Do you know why Jaune hanging around Cardin Lately " It was Ruby's voice

" Beats me, as you know, I already talked with him about his performance and gave him an advice. It seems, he ignored it and instead decided that Cardin is his friend " Mesa said with irritated tone

" I feel sorry for his team, they are better off without him " Weiss voice rang out

" That's too harsh Weiss " Ruby said

" Even though, I don't like to say it, but Weiss is right. I talked with his team, they are quite angry with him. I'm not sure but I felt like Pyrrha regretting teaming up with him"

" I know he is not that skilled or talented, but there must be a way to help him" Ruby said

" I think he is a lost cause Ruby, I think talking with him to quite the idea of being huntsman is better for everyone including himself. He lacks almost everything " Weiss cold voice was heard again

" Maybe we should talk with the professors and the headmaster about Jaune. Jaune will listen to them right?"

" I think you are right Ruby, we will inform Ozpin about Jaune later. Well anyway , let's forget about this and go to sleep. We have classes tomorrow. Goodnight Ruby, Weiss" Mesa said

" Goodnight Mesa" Weiss/Ruby said

Jaune ran as fast as he could when he heard them finishing their talk. He went to the roof and looked at the sky then started crying. His friends and his team lost hope in him and they want him gone. They want to destroy his dreams because he wasn't trained like them or had powerful semblances like them. They even wanted to tell Ozpin about him, so he get kicked out. Jaune was sinking in his anger and depression

While Jaune thoughts were in disarray, Mesa was watching him with a smile [ Hehehehe.. That actually going better than I thought, unlike the original story, that idiot didn't receive any help, advices or encourages, he only think that everyone against him and he is hated by everyone. Thanks to Weiss dislike toward Jaune and Ruby caring personality, guiding the conversation in the direction were it seemed against Jaune was quite easy. Your time is coming to an end, my dear blonde friend hahahahaha]

Jaune was removing his tears when is scroll beeps, he composed himself and took out his scroll. It was Carding calling him.

"Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably busy with that Dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm gonna need you to go out and get me a bag of Rapier Wasps. Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably busy with that Dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm gonna need you to go out and get me a bag of Rapier Wasps." Cardin said then closed his scroll at the sight of a terrified Jaune. Jaune scroll start beeping again, Jaune sighed and headed down to the dorms.

The next day, in a forest bustling with red leaves and gray trunks everywhere. Glynda was standing in front of her students and said " Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so. Each of you is to gather one jar worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here by 4 o'clock. Have fun! "

As Glynda finished speaking, Jaune attempted to sneak away from his team to Cardin's. Jaune looked at the back to see Nora and Ren are already walking into the forest's depth and pyrrha staring at him with sad eyes. She then followed her team.

After few hours, Team RWBY met with Mesa and the other three from team JNPR. Ruby like always being the cheerful one started talking " Hey guys, where have you been?"

" I filled my jar and went to sleep. It is a good day to not sleep " Mesa said smiling at Ruby

" As for us, we had to fill our jars twice because Nora decided to eat all the red sap we collected at the first time " Ren said tiredly

" Red sap is the best food after Pancakes!" Nora said happily

" Where is Jaune?" Yang asked

" He went with his new best friend Cardin " Pyrrha said with voice filled with anger and sadness.

" What is he thinking exactly? " Blake asked

As the conversation was proceeding about Jaune and Cardin, Mesa was thinking [ The 4 monkeys and the fool are hiding 15 meters away from us. I should expose them, in case Jaune had a heroic moment ]

Few minutes before Mesa started thinking about exposing them. With team CRDL and Jaune.

" So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself, 'Why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect six jars of tree sap when there's only five of us?' " Cardin asked Jaune

Jaune nodded and said "That is one of the many questions I have asked myself today, yes "

" Follow me " Cardin said and walked away as Jaune and the rest of his team followed him.

After walking nearly 200 meters, Cardin pointed in a direction while hiding behind the trees. Jaune looked at the direction to see his supposed friends standing there.

" Cardin, wh-what's going on?" Jaune asked Cardin

" Payback " Cardin simply replied

" Mesa …? " Jaune widened his eyes in understanding " Wh-what are you - ?"

Cardin pounded his hands together and said " That bastard. He thinks he is the smart and strong guy. Alright, boys… Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps, and now, we're gonna put him to work."

"Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things loooove sweets. And you are going to do it" Cardin said to Jaune

"Do what?" Jaune asked confused

" Hit him with the sap! Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you will be on the first airship out of Beacon" Cardin said

Jaune looked down at the jar of sap in his hands and then up at the four grinning teammates waiting to see what happens. Jaune turned toward Mesa, only to remember that because of him, Cardin started to blackmail him. Because of him, everything turn from bad to worse. Because of him, everyone now want him gone. His anger at last consumed him, he threw the jar toward Mesa. With the excited faces of team CRDL watching him.

On Mesa side, When he sensed Jaune throwing the jar at him, he nearly laughed out loud [ The fool actually did it. This is far better than what I expected. Time to start the play ]

With an evil smile in his mind. Mesa used his visual power to change the trajectory of the jar slightly without anyone noticing anything. Now it was heading toward Pyrrha who was standing nearly a half meter away from him.

Jaune who threw the jar widened his eyes, as he saw the jar is about to hit Pyrrha. However before it could hit her. A hand was extended catching the Jar. It was Mesa's hand.

Everyone looked at Mesa, who moved suddenly, Mesa in return showed them the jar and said " Someone threw this at Pyrrha " he then looked at Jaune Direction while smiling in his mind. He raised his hand, the next moment. Everyone saw 5 figures flying toward them. Team CRDL and Jaune were pulled in the open by Mesa's power.

" Why did you throw the Jar at Pyrrha ?" Mesa asked coldly

All the five looked scared hearing the cold voice of Mesa, Mesa knowing it all, played along and said " What do you have in the box? " He then pulled the box which held the rapier wasps. He then opened it in front of everyone to see what is inside.

Mesa looked at Cardin and said " So you want to use the wasps to harm Pyrrha? Is this some kind of prank? It seems, I have to break your limbs before you learn your lesson" Mesa said as he started walking toward Cardin

Cardin was scared shitless by the approaching Mesa so he spoke as fast as he could " It wasn't me, Jaune collected the Wasps, the extra red sap jar and he was the one who threw it. I merely gave the suggestions "

" You are lier, do you think we would believe our team leader would do that? Let's break his legs" the angry Nora said

" He didn't lie, at least not about the part where Jaune threw it. The trajectory and angel are pointing toward Jaune. Jaune why did you throw the jar at Pyrrha? She is your teammate" Mesa asked with cold voice

Pyrrha on the side was extremely sad, she didn't think Mesa is lying. She looked at Jaune with hurt and sadness. Jaune lowered his head seeing her face and said " I-I didn't mean to hit her ... I was …. aiming at you "

" At me? Why? I thought we were friends " Mesa seemed extremely angry while he was nearly flying with happiness, everything is going as he wanted

" Everyone looked down on me, and you came and ..." Jaune was about to say because of Mesa Cardin started blackmailing him. But Mesa didn't allow him and said " I see, so you blame me out jealousy. How disappointing"

Jaune raised his head about to explain, but he met with Mesa's extended hand. Then next thing he knew. He was sent flying along with team CRDL.

Mesa looked at the rest, who had their eyes filled with sadness, disappointment and more than anything anger. He said " Don't worry about them, I made sure they would feel some pain at most only."
