RWBY: The Black Reaper

It had been 2 weeks since MNPR team was formed, during this period the newly formed team became known as the strongest team in Beacon. Mesa proved to be an eccentric leader. He was the prime example of what you would call a thug. He continued being is usual self, not paying attention to the teacher, and never obey the laws. His marks as one would expect is one of the worst. However, during compat and team work activity he showed a great leadership and combat prowess. His leading skills and decisions were far better than any other student. At first many thought he was a worse leader than the previous leader of team JNPR. But later on, many started to respect him.

In one of the sparring arenas, team MNPR members were standing on the arena while team RWBY watching from the side seats. Mesa stood on one side while the rest of team stood on the other side.

" Come at me with everything you have. Don't hold anything back " Mesa spoke

The other three looked at him with serious faces, then they exchanged glances with each other. Nora unfolded her giant hammer and rushed toward Mesa, she swung her hammer horizontally. Mesa simply took two steps forward in her direction and blocked her by pushing the side of her shoulder which caused her to lose balance and fall to the ground, he spoke " You need to fix your attacking stance. You gravity center is easy and intercepting you attacks don't require any efforts."

Ren appeared behind Mesa and sent a kick toward the left side of Mesa's head. Mesa without looking using his right hand to catch his foot. He spoke to Ren " Your timing is not bad, but you didn't hide your presence. Not to mention the strength of you legs are not up to bar"

While Mesa was speaking, Pyrrha dashed toward him from his right side assuming he is defenceless. Mesa threw then toward Pyrrha. Pyrrha lowered herself to avoid colliding with Ren, only to find Mesa's leg nearing her face. She used her shield to block Mesas kick. Mesa pushed forward forcing Pyrrha to lay on her back while his leg pushing her shield toward her face. He then raised his other leg and stepped harshly on her unprotected stomach. He spoke " Pyrrha ….."

Before he could give his feedback, Nora stood up and charged toward him again. This time she swung vertically. Mesa didn't dodge, he used shinra tensei pushing Nora outside the arena.

Mesa spoke " Okay enough for today "

His team stood up and walked toward him, he spoke to them " You improved slightly over the last two weeks. But you still a long way to go. Nora, you attack without thinking, and you don't use any stance to support yourself, just a brute force. Thay may work with unskilled opponents, but once you fight a speed or skill specialist you won't be able to do anything. Ren you need to work more on your physical strength and using your semblance while moving and fighting. Your semblance will help you greatly in sneak attacking your opponents. Finally Pyrrha, you are the best individual fighters among the three, but you still lack the ability to integrate you fighting style with others. You need to learn working properly with the others, otherwise, you will be only weaker when working with others. Oh and one last thing, Nora your last attack would have harmed Pyrrha if I were to dodge. Keep the safety of your teammate in mind when attacking."

"Well I know you wouldn't allow me to hit Pyrrha. So I figured I might be able to hit. But damn we ended losing again without touching you." Nora said while laughing

" Don't repeat it. Beside not even Ozpin and Glynda could touch me. Just being able to last few seconds in front of me should make you proud" Mesa said arrogantly

" You don't need to be so arrogant, do you ?" Yang voice heard from the side

" Well, he got the ability to support his arrogance " Blake commented

" It doesn't matter, that was amazing spar , Mesa" Ruby said happily

" I have to agree with Ruby, you are truly the strongest student in the whole school " Weiss

" I know right, since we were children I couldn't beat him even once " Yang said agreeing with Weiss

" Yup, and the best part he is with us this year when we fight in Vytal festival " Nora said happily

" Now that you mention it …. I think aiming for winning is impossible now " Weiss said regretfully, she wanted trully to win the fighting festival like her older sister.

" I as the greatest in the world, I can tell you with confidence you can aim for the second place with no problems. " Mesa said arrogantly

" Can you stop being narcissistic for once. Actually, I don't mind calling you the strongest if you made food us food like when we were children " Yang said slyly

" I know you are trying only get some benefits out of me. But sure, I didn't cook for a while. I'm missing it a little " Mesa said

" Wait, you can cook?" Blake asked, she was curious, everyone was

" His cook abosultely the best " Ruby said confirming Yangs words

" What I can say. I'm a man of many talents " Mesa smirked arrogantly. None minded him as they were used to him being the nice narcissistic guy.

" The Vytal festival preparation started in Vale. We are going to vale to take a look. Do you guys want to come a long?" Ruby asked team MNPR

" No, we can't come along. We have an assignment to finish " Pyrrha answered

" Nevermind them, I will tag along " Mesa said. He would never do any of these stupid assignments.

" How no one of the professors try to scold you is beyond me" Weiss said

" Actually, it is quite simple. I'm strong enough to beat the shit out of them. If they have the guts, let them scold me. I don't mind having a very painful and lengthy conversation." Mesa smiled maniacally

" Hey Mesa, why don't you help me stop doing the assignments?" Yang asked

" I won't be unique then " Mesa smirked at Yang, who wasn't pleased with his answer.

In Vale, Mesa was strolling around along with team RWBY. All around them, the streets of Vale are decorated in time for the Vytal Festival. Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloons are proudly on display.

" The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful! " Weiss said

" I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss. It's kinda weirding me out..." Ruby said while frowning a little

"How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!" Weiss asked Ruby while walking

"You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring." Yang sighed

" Quite, you!" Weiss was angered by Yang

"Remind me again why we're spending our afternoon visiting the stupid docks?" Yang asked

" I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to thisfine kingdom! " Weiss said righteously

" She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament. " Blake said

" Okay, that's low and pointless" the silent Mesa finally spoke

" You can't believe her just like that. And you can't prove that! " Weiss said

"Whoa." Ruby exclaimed as she looked at the shattered window down the street and a door full of yellow caution tape of Vale police force before walking over to the detectives in front, who were conversing with each other. She asked him " What happened here?"

"Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle." The first detective said

"That's terrible." Yang said sadly

"They left all the money again." The second detective said

" Huh? " Ruby turned her head when she heard the detective

"Yeah, just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?" The first detective wondered

"I don't know, an army? " The second detective said

"You thinking the White Fang?" The first detective asked

"Yeah, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough." The second detective replied
