RWBY: The Black Reaper

Hearing the two detectives, Weiss crossed her arms and pointed her nose in the air with her eyes closed and said "Hmph! The White Fang. What an awful bunch of degenerates!"

"What's your problem?" Blake asked with anger

"My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane." Weiss replied

Blake crossed her arms and said seriously "The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths. They're a collection of misguided Faunus."

"Misguided? They want to wipe Humanity off the face of the planet!" Weiss replied with anger

"So then they're very misguided. Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale!" Blade still defended the white fang

"Hmm... Blake's got a point. Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him." Ruby said trying to calm her two teammates

Weiss continued "That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of sc.u.m. Those Faunus only know how to lie, cheat, and steal."

"That's not necessarily true..." Yang was saying before a sailor interrupting her "Hey, stop that Faunus!"

As the team overheard the cry for help and rushed over to investigate, a Faunus with a golden monkey tail was seen running down the length of the boat and leaping on to the edge as the two sailors were about to apprehend him.

"Thanks for the ride, guys! Haha!" the faunus spoke before jumping of the docks

"You no-good stowaway!" The sailor screamed in anger

"Hey! A no-good stowaway would've been caught! I'm a great stowaway!" The faunus commented on his title, while one of the detectives down below threw a stone at him to get his attention.

"Hey! Get down from there this instant!" The first detective ordered

The faunus dropped the banana peel on the detective's face, who growled in return. The monkey-like Faunus twirled up to crouch on the lamppost, laughing in amus.e.m.e.nt, and proceeded to leap off and run away from the detectives. As he run past Team RWBY and Mesa, he winked at an astonished Blake as he continued to be chased by the officers.

"Well, Weiss, you wanted to see the competition, and there it goes..." Yang said

"Quick! We have to observe him!" Weiss said and gave a chase

Team RWBY and Mesa started chasing the male faunus. They rounded the next corner, but then Weiss bumped into someone and triped. She looked up only to see the faunus jump on to a building and disappear from her view.

"No, he got away!" Weiss said in frustration

"Uhh... Weiss?" Yang said strangely as she pointer at the girl below Weiss

Weiss finally saw that she fell on a smiling girl, which startled the heiress and she hastily got up. The smiling girl still down on the ground said "Sal-u-ta-tions!"

Ruby replied "Um... hello."

"Are you... okay?" Yang Asked her

"I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking." The girl replied

"Do you... wanna get up?" Yang asked the girl

The girl seemed to think for a moment then said "Yes!" as she lept back on her feet.

"My name is Penny! It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you!" The girl said

"Hi Penny. I'm Ruby." Ruby said

"I'm Weiss" Wiss introduced herself

"Blake" Blake said

" The name is Mesa " Mesa said while his eyes scanned her body throughly

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head?" Yang asked again, which earned her a hit on her side from Blake, Yang immediately said "Oh, I'm Yang."

"It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you!" Penny said to the group

"You already said that" Weiss said wondering what is wrong with this girl

"So I did!" Penny said without care of the awkward stares directed toward her

"Well, sorry for running into you!" Weiss said as he turned around and started walking away. The rest followed her

"Take care, friend!" Ruby said to Penny before leaving

When they got far enough from Penny, Yang said "She was... weird..."

"Now, where did that Faunus riff-raff run off to?" Weiss asked about the blonde faunus ignoring the whole encounter with Penny

"What did you call me?" Penny appeared out of nowhere startling everyone

"Oh, I'm really sorry, I definitely didn't think you heard me!" Yang apologized

"No, not you." Penny said to Yang then pointed at Ruby "You!"

"Me? I-I don't know. I, what I, um, uh..."" Ruby didn't understand what did Penny was asking her about.

"You called me 'friend'! Am I really your friend?" Penny asked with anticipation

"Uuuum...Y-Yeah, sure! Why not?" Ruby said with a little hesitation

"Sensational! We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys!" Penny said excitedly

Ruby didn't know how to respond. Yang took the lead and asked "So... what are you doing in Vale?"

"I'm here to fight in the tournament." Penny answered

"Wait, you're fighting in the tournament?" Weiss asked Penny

"I'm combat ready!" Penny said

"Forgive me, but you hardly look the part." Weiss as she scanned Penny

"Says the girl wearing a dress." Blake commented

" You should listen to her, she is probably stronger than any of you in one on one fight" Mesa said from the side

Team RWBY looked at Mesa then looked at Penny, seeing how she acted, none of them believed Mesa.

"Wait a minute. If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed... rapscallion?" Weiss asked Penny

"The who...?" Penny asked back

"The filthy Faunus from the boat!" Weiss said

"Why do you keep saying that?!" Blake asked with anger

"Huh?" Weiss didn't know what did Blake mean

"Stop calling him a rapscallion! Stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!" Blake said with anger

"Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to stop referring to the trash can as a trash can? Or this lamppost as a lamppost?" Weiss responded

"You ignorant little brat!" Blake growled with anger

"How dare you talk to me like that! I am your teammate!" Weiss was offended by Blake

"You are a judgmental little girl." Blake said

"What in the world makes you say that?" Weiss asked Blake

"The mere fact that you would sort that Faunus boy with a terrorist group solely based on his species makes you just as much of a scoundrel as you believe him to be!" Blake said

"Um, I think we should probably go..." Yang said hesitantly

"So you admit it! The White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!" Weiss said

"That's not what I meant, and you know it!" Blake told Weiss

Yang and Ruby observed their teammates from the side, next to them smiling Penny and Mesa is eating popcorn while enjoying the show before him

"I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!" Weiss asked Blake

"That is the problem!" Blake answered her

"You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!" Weiss said with anger

"There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!" Blake explained to Weiss

"People like me?" Weiss asked

"You're discriminatory!" Blake said

"I'm a victim! You want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus? It's because they've been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear; board members executed; an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood." Weiss said in a low tone filled with hate and anger

"Weiss, I-" Ruby Wanted to say something but Weiss stopped her "No!", as she walked toward Blake and said "You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!"

"Well maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!" Blake said

Once Blake said her sentence, Weiss backed away slowly, and Blake realized her mistake as she looked around at her teammates.

"I... I..." Blake didn't know what to do, so she ran away

"Blake, wait! Come back!" Ruby called Blake, but she didn't stop

" Really! You guys didn't know she is a faunus? " Mesa asked them

All of them looked at him surprised, Yang asked him " How did you know she was a faunus?"

" Well, she liked Tuna a lot, smelled like a cat, Her eyes shined in night, her black ribbon will twitch depending on her reaction and she was extremely s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e toward the topic of the white fang and faunus in general. It was quite obvious if you ask me" Mesa said

The three girls were silent. They thought about what he said and it was true. How come they didn't think about it before?

Later that day, Mesa was separated from the remaining of team RWBY when they came back to the dorms. Mesa headed to his apartment in Vale. It was a secret apartment he bought for himself using a fake identity.

He was checking his messages on his Black Reaper's scroll, he had many messages in the past few months. What had his attention was a recent Message from Jacques Schnee. The message talked about one of the biggest dust shipment arriving to Vale tomorrow. Jacques heard from his resources that the shipment will be attacked by the white fang.

Jacques was getting pissed off at the white fang lately, as the attacked many of his shipments. So he wanted the Black Reaper to protect the shipment. And since Jacques knew the Black Reaper doesn't accept regular mercenary mission. He send a special assassination mission. The mission had no specific target, it stated that to kill every white fang member approaches the shipment. For every kill, Jacques will pay the price of a regular single target. If no targets appeared Jacques will still pay the price of 10 targets.

Mesa smiled and sent to Jacques " Accepted "
