SASUKE: Rebuilding The Uchiha Clan

Two days have passed since the sound invaded Konoha, inside the Hokage office stood Hiruzen who had retired, once again wearing the distinctive Hokage hat.

He had a grave expression on his face as he waited for the people he sent some anbu to call. 'what is taking them so long...' He thought as he taped his foot on the floor impatiently.

Meanwhile Sasuke was strolling around the village surrounded by four girls, thing which attracted gazes full of hate and envy from other men. They were Ino, Sakura, Karin and Haku.

The last of them was tagging along because of fun, since she didn't want to admit openly that she just wanted to spend time with Sasuke.

Just as he was about to enter a restaurant with them, he was interrupted by an anbu who informed him that he was summoned by the third Hokage and it was urgent.

He could only reluctantly leave his girls and shunshin towards the Hokage building at top speed.

"~mooo~ why must he go away when we finally managed to have some time together" complained Ino as she saw him disappear from their sight.

"And I wanted to take him to my house after this to spend some quality time in bed, I guess it'll have to wait". When the rest heard Karin speak like that, Ino and Sakura felt like strangling her from jealousy, and Haku blushed imagining it was her the one doing it with Sasuke.

"Guy, Asuma, Kurenai. Just one person is missing, so wait for a bit before I explain the mission" said Hiruzen sitting behind his desk.

They noticed he was extremely anxious even though he tried to appear calm. Guy couldn't stop his curiosity and asked "who are we waiting for?"

"Uchiha Sasuke" and just as he said the name, Sasuke arrived through the entrance. "What did you call me for, old man?" He was a bit mad for having his date interrupted.

Hiruzen took a deep breath and held back his anger, whenever he met with Sasuke they'll always end up quarreling.

"There's an important mission, it is considered S-rank. The mercenary organization Akatsuki kidnapped Naruko".

"What?!, but we chased them away just this morning! Did they come back secretly? " Asked Kurenai with widened eyes.

She was really surprised since she thought they would leave after that fight, Kakashi was still in the hospital recovering since it was just a couple of hours ago. 'How could they be back so soon and even take Naruko away'

Sasuke was clenching his fists, he was really angered by what he heard. "how did it happen?"

"Naruko has been under Jiraiya care, but they can't spend every second together, so they took her away in a moment of carelessness. Jiraiya went after them and requested for support.

I need you to track them and help in bringing Naruko back. The enemies are Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame, capture Itachi if possible, as for Kisame, if you can kill him then do it, but the top priority is Naruko's safety.

I know that Sasuke can track her, so follow his lead, he'll be the temporary team leader. Oh and the last thing, Sasuke, your are officially promoted to Jōnin rank. Now leave, get her back quickly!"

"Yes lord Hokage!" The four of them shouted in unison and left being led by Sasuke.

As they followed Sasuke's lead, Kurenai couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked "how do you know where to go?"

He answered with a stoic face "I placed a tracking seal on all my closest people without their knowledge. I hadn't told that old fart about it so I guess Shizune told him about my tracking seal"

They sweated at how he called the third Hokage and were thinking if it would be possible to get some of those seals from him.

After ten minutes of rushing at full speed, Sasuke remembered something and hit himself in the head, causing the other three to look at him weirdly, but they were flabbergasted once they saw what he did afterwards.

Sasuke used the multi size technique of the Akimichi and then transformed into an enormous eagle. "Hop on, this way we'll catch up in not time"

Hearing him say that, they came out of their stupor and jumped on his back, using chakra to stick in place as he flapped his wings taking fly.

With the amazing speed they reached the place where Sasuke felt the tracking seal in just a few minutes and saw Jiraiya having trouble to confront Kisame, who kept using Samehada to eat his chakra.

Before Sasuke could land, Guy jumped from his back and blasted Kisame away with a kick before he could react.

Sasuke landed a few meters away from the fight and changed back to normal.

Kurenai went next to Jiraiya who appeared really exhausted and breathing heavily. Asuma and Sasuke looked to their right.

Under a tree, Naruko could be seen unconscious, and standing next to her was the man that Asuma recognized as Itachi, since they had just fought against him a few hours back.

And Sasuke could recognize him because he looked exactly as he remembered him from the anime. That cool and composed expression that only revealed the slightest surprise upon seeing the giant eagle transform into Sasuke.

The little brother he had missed dearly, but now looked so different from what he remembered. He was now tallest than him, had a different hair and eye color.

But even with all the changes he could still recognize him. And even though he would love to have a warm reunion, he knew that after what he did he didn't have any right to that.

A complex feeling flashed through Itachi's eyes as he looked at his grown up little brother with an indifferent face, trying to mask his real feelings.

Itachi noticed that Sasuke was looking at him with a bit of murderous intent and felt as if his heart was being squeezed.

"Are you here to kill me for revenge? Are you strong enough for that? is your hate strong enough, Sasuke?" with the coldest tone he could use, he asked.

"Kill you for revenge? No, that would be too good for you. I'm here to take her back" said Sasuke pointing at the sleeping Naruko, and as he looked at her, tenderness flashed through his eyes.

"But if you try to prevent me from doing so, I wouldn't mind kicking your ass", now Itachi's face showed surprise, he couldn't help it, Sasuke was way too different from what he remembered.

The Sasuke he remembered would definitely want to take his life, even though he didn't get the chance to incite his thirst for revenge with words. Just from what he showed him with that genjutsu he should hate him to death.

Who wouldn't want to kill the person who showed you how he killed your parents one time after another. Itachi couldn't shake off this feeling, that the person in front of him wasn't the same he left all those years ago.

He didn't want to believe it, so he decided to ask and see how he reacts. "Who are you?"

Sasuke was a bit surprised that Itachi would suddenly ask something like that at this moment. 'He already recognized me as Sasuke just a moment ago, so what happened? did he notice something?'
