At the door, stood Noah, glaring at the scene in front of him. His precious little sister in arms of the Demon of the city.

Everyone knew who Matteo Conti was. The only living son from the main branch of the Conti family, and the heir to the Conti Enterprises. Raised by his grandfather after the death of his parents, he now ran the company on his grandfather's behalf and ruled over the family with a ruthless iron fist. Whether it can to business dealings, or the women that tried to throw themselves at him, he was merciless, destroying all those in his way. He was the most powerful man in the city, but families with daughters steered clear from him, not feeling like the boost in status would be worth it. He was never seen with a woman before.

So, what was this scene in front of Noah?!

Alessia flushed a bright red, before scrambling off the tall silent man and rushing towards her brother. She threw her arms around his waist.

" Brother, you're here!"

Her voice was small and delicate, Noah could hear her holding back tears. Matteo momentarily forgotten, Noah patted her head, before putting some distance between them so he could take a good look at her.

"Are you okay? What happened? Who hurt you?"

Noah's usually calm and emotionless voice was laced with worry, enough there to make Alessia almost fall apart. She proceeded to tell her brother the tale of the evening, being careful to keep certain parts to herself.

" I just remember being thirsty and then drinking some water. Then the room started spinning, and some scary men started to come for me, so I ran before passing out."

Alessia's scared expression turned into one of reverence, as she looked over her shoulder at her savior.

" I don't know what would have happened if Mr. Conti hadn't saved me."

Noah's face paled at the thought of her little sister being in trouble, as he turned to look at Theo once again.

"Thank you so much for protecting my little sister. My family won't forget this."

Matteo responded, his eyes flickering between the two siblings in front of him. He was sure that the one who had harmed Alessia wasn't him.

"No need."

With those words, and the reassurance that this young girl was in safe hands, He stood up, revealing himself to be three inches taller than Nicholas, and began to walk out of the room.

"Wait!"

Alessia rushed to block this man's path.

"I-I want to thank you, to repay you for what you did for me"

Alessia racked her brain, trying to find an excuse to see this savior of hers again. Her eyes brightened, as an idea popped into her head.

" You should come to my Grandfather's birthday celebration! Yes, it's going to be next week at the Peace Plaza Hotel."

As she spoke, she stuck her little hands into his coat pocket, pulling out his phone. Before he could react, she had already called her own cellphone from his, and put it back in his pocket.

"I'll text you the details!"

With that final declaration, Alessia moved to the side, allowing Matteo to leave. Matteo stood frozen, before swiftly making his way out of the room and out of the hospital.

He managed to make it back to his car, before snapping out of his trance. He reached for his phone, still feeling the warmth of Alessia hands on it. She was so comfortable with touching him, not even flinching at the sight of his face, and cowering before his domineering frame.

He stared at the missed call, before allowing a small barely noticeable smile to grace his lips. The driver's eyes widened at the expression on his master's face.

Today was really the day for witnessing miracles!

Wanting to find out what made his master so happy, the diver opened his mouth, only to close it again, when Matteo locked eyes with him, smile completely gone.

"Home."

With this command the driver started his journey back to the Conti Family Manor.

Matteo returned his gaze back to the missed call, eyes soft, before calling up his assistant.

"Clear my schedule for next Friday."

Proud of herself, Alessia turned around, only to see her brother staring her down.

"You should stay away from that man. No good will come out of being around him."

They way Noah spoke, would put doubt in anybody's heart, but Alessia just shook her head and beamed.

" He's definitely a good person, no matter what!"

Noah sighed in exasperation, deciding to table the discussion for another time, choosing instead to lead his younger sister back into her bed.

"Where is my daughter?! Get out of my way!"

Noah and Alessia looked at each other, partially in amus.e.m.e.nt and partially in fear, before looking towards the door.

Less than 30 seconds later the door slammed open, revealing Amara and Alexander, their faces contorted with worry. Once her eyes landed on Alessia, Amara began to sob.

"My daughter, are you okay? Tell momma what happened!"

With shaky hands, she reached for her daughter, examining every inch of Alessia's body. Nicholas swooped hi daughter up in a tight hug, letting her go quickly for fear of hurting her.

"We got a call from your brother, what happened? Who dared put hands on my daughter?!"

After recounting the story once more for her parents, the day had finally begun to catch up with her. Her body ached, and her head hurt. Unfortunately, her parents were riled up and ready to go to war.

"Ha, so someone had the nerve to drug my precious daughter! Good, very good!"

Alexander's voice was full of anger and venom, trying to control his anger in front of Alessia. Amara looked into her daughter tired and pale face. She could see that the day had really taken toll on Alessia, her heart aching at the thought of her daughter facing hardsh.i.p.s. Without a second though, she kicked her loud husband out of the hospital room, asking him to go and find the doctor. Understanding the situation, Noah left as well, trailing behind his father.

Running her hands through her daughter's hair, Amara soothed Alessia to sleep. When Alessia began to doze off, Amara's eyes hardened.

Since the people who tried to hurt her precious daughter wanted to die so badly, she would help fulfill their wish!
