Servants With A Modern Weapon

"My rifle is jammed," Cecile said to Wilson.

"You know what to do right?" I said to her.

"Yup," she released the magazine then attempt to unjam the rifle. She did it in about 20 seconds.

We have trained like this for about 3 months, and the result was better than I expected.

Maria is a marksman class. Her accuracy is astounding, and with her magic, I think she can make the bullet more accurate. Her primary weapon is the MSG-90, but I still recommend her to carry a sidearm. I gave her P90.

Garth is a heavy class. His capability to control recoil at automatic fire is just illogical. His tanky body is also the main reason why he is in the heavy class. His primary weapon is the MG4, his sidearm is the FN Five-Seven.

Cecile is a support class. Her capability is between Garth and Maria so a multipurpose weapon will suit her better. Her primary weapon is the HK416, and her sidearm is the MP7.

I am a multipurpose class. I can shot as accurate as Maria during automatic fire like Garth. I equipped myself with SCAR-H and Glock pistol.

But the only place where we can use that loadout is the forest and the duke's house. In the other place, we just use our sword and dagger.

We were doing extermination of goblin In a nearby cave near the forest. This should be a piece of cake.

So, occasionally there was some request from the guild that passed down to the duke's army. This time we took the offer for ourselves.

Before we entered the cave, we got greeted by the welcoming goblin party. I told them, "you can't always rely on your gun, use your sword."

Yes, when they carried a gun, they also brought their sword and dagger. We did this because we still have to train our swordsmanship for the academy test.

A goblin tried to stab me in the back, but luckily Cecile slashed the goblin just in time.

"Ok guys, attach a flashlight to your rifle, were going in!" As I attached my flashlight to my SCAR-H.

"Roger that," everyone replied.

I lead the way to the cave, we are using dark Multicam uniform and wearing only the tactical rig without armor.

A goblin appeared in front of us, A 7.62 bullet penetrated its skull, leaving a mist of blood.

"Target down," I said.

"Roger that, Wilson," Garth said.

"Enemies sighted at 6 o clock," Cecile said while shooting her HK416, "Enemy down."

We finally arrived in the middle of the cave. There was a lot of goblin made structure and a lot of goblins too. Most of the houses were made from scrap wood, and those goblins look like having a party.

We have the higher ground, so we got a better advantage than those goblins. After some thoughts, I decided to use an RPG.

"Garth, prepare the RPG," I tapped Garth back.

"Affirmative," as he unholstered his RPG from his back. He aimed his RPG to the goblin structure, "Aiming."

"Close your ear and open your mouth!" I shouted. My shout looks like alerted the goblin.

Garth pulled the trigger with his index finger, "Firing!" A rocket-propelled grenade flew to the goblin' s building destroying it as soon as it blew off.

"Engage them!!!" I said while shooting my SCAR-H. I shot most of the goblins, but the most impressive was Garth.

He fired his MG4 while jumping and running all around the building. Cecile fired her HK416 with her right hand while chanting attack spell on the other. Maria was sniping the goblin from the upper ground. However, her 7.62 bullets were infused with magic, so its destructive capabilities were tremendous.

The goblins village is under fire. The fumes were toxic, so I instructed them to wear their gas mask, "everyone, wear your gas mask!!" I said as I put my gas mask.

I looked at the cave, then found out a weak spot. For the future purpose, I decided to blow up the cave.

"Maria, place C4 on the ceiling! Garth and I will search for the remaining enemy," I said as we head deeper to the cave.

While we head deeper into the cave, Garth asked me a weird question, "Do you have any interest in a young miss?"

What the hell is that question? Is he has any intention? Of course, I haven't had any interest in young miss yet.

"Maria? Of course not. Why did you ask?" I returned his question.

"Nah, just wondering," he said while looking away.

We finally arrived at a large room with a throne chair in the middle. In the chair, a big goblin was sitting. He looked better equipped than the others. He was 5m tall and had a large green body.

I tap Garth shoulder, "look, Garth, I know you can kill that thing with the rifle and RPG, but this time I want you to use your sword and dagger."

"Yes, mentor," without further question, he dashed to the goblin leader.

He slashed his sword and dagger to the goblin king, but the goblin king countered it first.

Well, if someone can counter Garth attack, it's already bad news.

I holstered my SCAR-H then dashed to the goblin king with a sword in my right hand and dagger on my left hand.

"[Slash][Godspeed Blade]," I slashed the goblin king without dealing any significant damage.

Damn, his outer shell is very durable, or my sword is really that shit. Either way, I need to change my combat style.

"Mentor, we need to use our weap..," the king goblin swords hit his back.

"Not yet, we can't always rely on our rifle [Heal]," I patched his wound.

"Let's do it together! [Heavenly Slash]," he made a wind slash to wound the king.

"Ok, let's do it [Godspeed Blade] [Ice Spike]," I slashed the king multiple times in quick succession.

"Damn it, he is strong," I said to Garth. I looked at my sword, and it started to get dull.

"We aren't strong enough to beat that thing," Garth said while avoiding the king giant sword attack.

"No, our weapon is too bad, dump the sword! I authorize the usage of the rifle," I said as I dump my melee weapon then switch to the SCAR-H on my back.

"Ok, sounds fantastic," he dropped his melee weapon then used the MG4 from his hip.

"Engage!!" I said as I shot the goblin king.

A barrage of 5.56 and 7.62 mm bullet rained to the goblin king. Our modern weapon is doing better damage than the sword. The table had turned, now the goblin king is under pressure from our bullet.

He started to bleed all over his body, thanks to our weapon. The goblin king started to lose his balance and trip.

I observed the goblin king, and after further inspection, I decided to make Garth did the finishing touch.

"Fire him with an RPG!!!" I said as I reloaded my SCAR-H.

"Roger that!!" As he aimed his RPG

A rocket blast appeared from the back of the RPG. The rocket hit the king' s head and blew it up.

"Time to evacuate," I said as I ran from the goblin king.

Garth bolstered his weapon and followed me, "Ok."

We ran into the entrance of the cave. Cecile and Maria were waiting for us. Maria was holding a detonator in her left hand, and I could say that she was eager to detonate it.

The detonator was a remote with three switches and one big button in the middle.

"Who will do the honor?" She asked after flipped the three switches.

"Garth can do the honor, without him I won't be alive now," I said

"Thanks, mentor," as he flipped the cover and pushed the big red button.

"Boom"

A blast of air hit our face, and the cave entrance went down.

"No more goblin in this cave," Maria said.
