Servants With A Modern Weapon

Chapter 42 - Investigation Start!

I waited in a chair that I brought from one of the classrooms two weeks ago. I had figured how to break the door, but I would ask Garth to check the room first.

Garth arrived while bringing a green duffle bag while wearing a dark Multicam uniform. He approached me, who was sitting on the chair.

"So, what now?" He asked.

"Can you peek his room from outside?" I asked him.

"Sure, why not?" He said as he left the building again.

I opened the duffle bag that Garth brought. The content was an M1014 shotgun, battering ram, and other forensic tools.

I could hear the footsteps from his boots. Besides that sound, I also could listen to the sound of glass knocking and leaf falling in autumn.

After that sounds stop, Garth returned to me. His face looked disappointed.

"What did you see?" I asked him.

"The windows were broken, the room was messy. The sign of kidnapping, I think," Garth said.

I grabbed the shotgun from the duffle bag, "Since the door is flip to outside, we can't use the ram."

"I see, blast that door then," He said as he unholstered his FN Five-seveN.

I load four slug shells to the chamber.

BANG BANG BANG BANG

The doorknob was obliterated from the slug shells. All we had to do were open that door from the hole.

"Door is opened, breaching in," I said as I opened the door.

"Copy," Garth said as he aimed his pistol to the opened door.

Garth was right, there was a sign of a break-in on the building. The table was flipped upside down. The books on the bookshelf were scattered on the floor. The glass was spread on the floor near the window. There was stain blood on the floor.

I held the blood stain with my gloves, "Sign of violence, don't you think?" I asked Garth.

"Yep, this glass says the same thing too," He said as he held a piece of glass.

"Are you thinking what I am thinking?" I said as I found a piece of clothes similar to the academy's jacket.

"He was kidnapped?" Garth said.

"Yup, and..." I said.

"And what?" Garth asked.

"And we will be the next vice presidential candidate. F.u.c.k with Anton's disappearance," I said to him.

"Are you sure?" He asked me.

"I am sure. This office is going to be mine," I said as I sat on Anton's s chair.

"Ok, but did you also know that you need to beat the other candidates in combat to become a candidate for the voting event," He said.

"I can beat them," I said confidently.

"How? The last time you did that, your a.s.s was kicked by a dude in a Mythril armor," He commented as he cleaned Anton's room.

"With this," I said as I held the M1014 in my arms.

"A semi-automatic combat shotgun?" Garth said while putting the book back at the bookshelf.

"With a modern weapon to be exact," I said to him.

"Are you sure about doing that dirty tricks?" Garth asked.

"Then what? With a push of a button, I can dispatch a platoon of trained assassins to kill them all," I said as I grabbed my phone from my pocket.

"They have magic, don't you think?" Garth said.

"And they are not that God Dragon Jormungand either. If someone tells me they have a god-level spell, I will laugh at them," I said proudly.

"Why? You know that some magicians can destroy a planet," Garth said.

"Even if their magic can destroy a planet, I have a technology to destroy an entire galaxy," I said to him.

"You're joking, right?" He asked me with a scarred face.

"Maybe, it will just take a very long time," I said to him.

"What do you mean?" He asked me.

"Nothing can move faster than a speed of light. yet," I said to him

"Ok, I see. Maybe that's when magic engineering comes into play," he said to me.

"Well, let us see," I said to him.

I stood up from the chair and left Anton' s room with Garth behind me. I head up to the disciplinary committee president's office.

"Excuse me," I said as I knocked on the door.

"Come on in," A girl's voice could be heard from behind the door.

I opened the door and saw a girl sitting on a chair, which was similar to Anton's.

She let me sit on the sofa with a gentle voice, "Please help yourself," she said.

A room with the same configuration as Anton s, but tidier and most importantly had that trademarked girl smell in it too.

"Thank you," I said as I sit down.

"Garth, would you mind to introduce me to your friend here," She said.

"Sure thing, Wilson, this is Elizabeth Cail. Elizabeth, this is my friend Wilson Galliard," Garth introduced me.

"Wilson, nice to meet you. You can call me any way you like, but most of the students call me using either "Eliza" or "Cail," but please use Elizabeth on a formal occasion," Cail said

"Sure thing, I will call you Cail then," I said as I shook her hand.

"So, Wilson, what brings you here?" She asked me as she sat on her chair again.

"He said that he wanted to apply to be the next vice presidential candidate," Garth added.

"Oh, I see, well since he is already a disciplinary committee, I guess we won't have any problem with that," Cail said.

"Ok, anything I need to fulfill then?" I asked her.

"The first thing is you must beat the other candidates on the match day," she said.

"It will be easy," I said

"And also on that match day, you can use lethal weapons," Cail added.

"It will be easier," I said to her.

"Why are you so sure about that?" She asked me curiously.

I put my index finger in front of my mouth, "Its a secret," I said with a grin on my face.

"Ok, well, are you sure you can win on the voting?" She asked.

"Well...," I stuttered for s second.

Voting huh? This will be a problem. I don't have any qualifications or unique qualities at all that will be advantageous in voting.

"He doesn't have that quality of a good candidate," Garth interrupted.

"Hey, what the heck?" I grabbed his shoulder.

"I agree with Garth on this one," Cail said Coldly.

"Say what??" I got surprised by her statement.

That's it, all of my hopes to be in the executive section of the school is gone.

"But the case is different for Maria," She said.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"You see, She is a school idol. So she has a better chance to win," She suggested to me.

"Honestly, I can't accept that idea, but hey, that's a great idea," I said shyly.

"Nice," Garth said.

"Very well, then, I will apply her. Don't worry, she can bring her servants on the match day," She said.

"Ok, see you later, Cail," I said as I pulled the chair then left her room.
