Inside the chapel

"This guy finally died! He just won't stop shooting recklessly." Officer Dole heaved a sigh of relief, then he glanced at his partner intently "Hey. Why do you look so down? Are you hurt by the grenade? We just killed a terrorist. Just thinking that we could probably get into a higher rank makes me so happy. We also saved people by killi- HEY!"

Inspector Wright was standing still with his head looking towards the door. It was like he can clearly see what is happening behind the door by just looking at it.

The Inspector then looked back at his partner. "Earlier, didn't you hear something exploded?"

"Nope. I was busy shooting that guy and... Wait? Explosives!? There's more TERRORISTS!?" Officer Dole was shocked when he realized that there is other terrorists besides the other two who was dead by now.

"Why are you surprised? I thought you already knew that there were more terrorists since the two of them was holding just a handgun as they came up here. How stupid they were if they first terrorized the upper floor with only two of them being the terrorist." Inspector Wright slightly tilted his head while glancing at his partner like he was a stupid kid.

Officer Dole was embarrassed by his stupidity but he then think of something to make himself looks like more intelligent. "Y-Yeah... Then they probably have more explosives in them and more people died earlier when it exploded so we should immediately head down there right?"

"No, that's not what I'm talking about." Inspector Wright said reluctantly.

Officer Dole fell silent for a moment.

"F*CK! What is it then!?"

"It's neither a grenade nor any other explosives. I probably know every sounds that the military weapon makes and it's nothing like a weapon. The sound was like a huge fist that contains great force and incredible speed hitting a thick flesh... But it's definitely more times stronger than what I just explained right now." Inspector Wright said seriously.

"Is that even possib- Oh shit! There is a f**king Neowight here!? Wait, does that mean that all of the terrorists have powers." Inspector Dole was surprised until he realized something that entirely changed his expression "THAT KID! HE'S STILL IN THIS FLOOR! SHIT!"

Officer Dole immediately ran towards the door and the Inspector followed him.

While Inspector Wright is following his partner, he was looking at him with respect.

Even though Officer Dole is kind of stupid sometimes, when danger is falling in the innocent people, he will always be the first one to save them.

Inspector Wright respected him because he's going to save some people in his sight even if it cost his life.

He is the bravest amongst the other police officers out there.

SLAM!

The door was kicked open by Officer Dole. He looked around to find Liam but he saw nothing outside besides gory surroundings.

With the floor that is slightly damage and the wall that is stained with blood, it was totally obvious that something grim had happened while they were in the middle of shooting the terrorist inside the chapel.

Officer Dole is trembling, but it's not in any relation of fear or ecitement but because he is seriously mad "T-This... The kid... WHERE IS THAT F***ING TERRORIST!"

Inspector Wright is standing behind his partner and watched him get furious for a moment.

He then tapped his shoulder "Hey, be calm. We know that they, the Neowights, have extremely dangerous power hidden inside them and I know that you are thinking that if that guy earlier really has a power or ability, then the kid is probably dead by now... but terrorists would always leave their victims behind as they kill them unless if they have something to do witht them but there is no dead body that can be seen in this whole corridor."

Officer Dole calmed down a bit as he heard his partner talked, then he glanced at him while pointing his finger to the blood-stained wall "Then... what is all this blood."

"It must be the kid getting seriously injured but... that kid also had an ability just like he said. In fact, his ability is just like the ''Thing'' that the Alpha Organization has been using to heal their patients' injuries at an incredible speed." He averted his gaze then he looked at the blood in the wall "When the first time that I observed him with my ability, there was an aura oozing out from all over his body like no other man does and right now... His blood is releasing a slight vibration that ripples through the air. He's definitely alive because of his incredible fighting spirit. It just lit recently but it's never going to die again."

"Did you just tried to comfort me with this idle talk?"

"Fufu. You know that I would never lie Evan. Even if I do lie, I would'nt dare when the situation is this serious."

Inside an elevator.

DING! DING! DING!

Liam was sitting and leaning his back on the steel wall of the elevator and he was looking intently in the air.

He was a bit dissapointed when he learned that he can't use his skill 'Absorption' to the same person twice but when he heard multiple chimes, he formed a smile and his heart beat slightly faster. Although he was really excited, he didn't immediately check what it was since he was busy checking his stats.

Liam loosen up as he saw that his HP finally stopped decreasing because of the continuous bleeding, but it turned into increasing it because his body is inactive by relaxing and not moving.

His life or death fight with the terrorist was so intense that he have injuries all over his body.

From his head to toe, severe wounds and deep cuts can be seen with b.a.r.e eyes.

With 1 bone fracture each in the left arm and right leg, 13 cuts, 7 open wounds and bruises all over the body, one would already faint by shock or be unconscious by the unimaginable pain, but Liam is an exception to the normal people.

He can't move his whole body right now so he can only sit and interact with the system.

The VIP floor is 60 floors high up the building so it will took him quite some time before he could go down to the main hall in the first floor.

Liam decided to check the notification because his heart was filled with excitement when he remembered the multiple chimes that it made.

As soon as he opened it with his mind and heard the click sound, he was taken aback when a number of windows showed up in front of him in an instant.

It took him quite a moment of schock before he could finally read the window in the front of the other window.

Liam still read it multiple times until now even though he already accepted it and believed it since the first time it popped up.

His lips arched upwards when he finally stopped reading and he didn't even notice it himself.

"hehe. I finally get to know when would I level up. By giving this to me, system, you, the great guru, is like you just answered my question from last time." Liam said as he remembered that the system didn't have an answer to his question.

How do he even level up?

But now he thought that his question has been answered by the system giving him the Experience Points and Experience Bar.

"If that's the case then... I shall ask more question. I don't know how would you do it but please answer it." Liam said seriously.

His question is very important as it will somehow change what was his way of thinking.

Liam turned the notification windows down and looked into the empty air.

"System, You said that I'm the only one who have you, a 'system', but why does other people have more deadly skills than me? Aren't they supposed to be just as strong as me? Also, how come that they don't need mana to use skills? That's more OP than me and you, who gave me a levelling system." Liam said and released a heavy sigh, knowing that the system wouldn't answer him in an instant. "I don't know if you are giving a hell about my question but please come up with an answer even if it's a very long time. I just need a good answer."

He soon cleared his mind of waiting for the system's answer and opened the notification again.

Before he could read a notification, his mind was resounded with a loud 'Ding'.

Liam was a bit surprised when a new notification followed up late before the others.

He waited for a moment before the notification appeared and the fading-in text and voice of a slightly-robotic female finally drew out.

After reading it whole, he widened his eyes and opened his mouth in shocked.

『 Your question earlier was so simple that I already have dozens of answers for it after hearing it once.』

Even though his personality and intellect changed in a good way at a fast rate, he can't still completely withstand a shock from his heart and mind.

It took quite a moment of time before his thoughts processed normally again.

"Did the system just answered me or is it just me hallucinating. Probably not. Then... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" Liam tried to move his body to get the pressure away from him but he can't with his grave injuries.

"Shit. I almost threw up. What in the actual f**k is this!? Who's the sicko that could've done this." Officer Dole turned around to not see the disgusting thing in the wall.

He just saw a man's broken head and face. Not just broken, sickeningly and gorily broken.

The rear head of the man was reshaped like a bitten apple, his face was ripped from top to bottomand was full of wounds and bruises, his left arm was bent and his body is full of severe wounds and deep cuts. The blood almost covered his entire body.

Any inexperienced person would probably puke if they saw the man's state for the first time.

Officer Dole had been an officer for almost 7 years and this kind of scene is rare for him so it's normal for him to be disgusted.

A moment of him thinking finally made a suspicion.

"Wait! This... Is this the terrorist's doing too?" Officer Dole said as he turned around to look at the body again "Damn it! I'll f**cking go kill him right now! This is definitely him. Shit. That guy."

Inspector Wright was still inpecting the body until now and he suddenly made a serious face.

"You're wrong Evan." Inspector Wright said with a deep tone.

"What!? Wrong? What is wrong? Isn't it the terrorist who did this to this poor guy?"

The Inspector glanced at his partner for a moment before he pointed the man in the wall with his finger "That 'poor guy' is... the terrorist."
