Sonia: Legends Of Eternal Darkness

"My my. You look as if you've had a decent trip," The reaper commented at Julianna's expense.

"Yeah? Who the hell's askin'?" Julianna retorted only to be suddenly zapped into a trance by the Reaper's scythe. The Reaper replied darkly, "The Bridge of hell himself…" The Reaper personally took Julianna's soul through the power of his hand and then placed it into the giant glowing orb of collected souls before pushing Julianna to the ground with the tap of his finger. Sonia watched in horror as she saw her fellow classmate had died in such a sudden way. However, the reaper caught her attention before she could duck down, the Reaper blasted her with his dark magic and lifted her into the air.

"Ah… a snooper," The Reaper began.

"The Grim Reaper?!" Sonia exclaimed, "I thought you were a myth!"

"Not everything they tell you is a myth, my dear," The Reaper came back, "Now… Prepare to join my dark army." Dark magic flowed from the Reaper's hand and to Sonia, however, Sonia's amulet began to glow and reciprocated the evil magic back to the Reaper, blasting its hand back. The reaper winced and held his arm in pain while Sonia fell to the ground. The reaper used his magic to heal his skeleton hand and then grabbed its scythe and began to summon the dark creatures of the underworld to surround her. Sonia get shocked by the various, creepy, and just plain monstrous creatures that have come to plague the surface world. Sonia needed her sword and, luckily, her amulet began to glow while shifted to one of her sides. Sonia thinks for a moment and awkwardly stretches her hand out in the out direction that her amulet shifted to. Sonia shut her eyes, hoping that her sword would come to her. As she stood there in such a position, The Reaper was about to give a command to his cohorts.

"Goy'lie!" Scruffles shouted in a whisper, "What are you doing?!" The Reaper then SHOUTS, commanding his army to dogpile Sonia. They jump and are about to pounce her, but before the blow could be dealt, Sonia's trusty sword swooped into her grasp and she raised it in the air as she felt Feliferi's angelic power and confidence surge through her and created an energy beam the blasted the monsters and demons away before they could crush her.

"Oh… so you're the great warrior that the Skeleton Witch warned me about you..."

"Whoever do you mean? All I see is a sack of bones and a bunch of psychopaths in Halloween costumes," Sonia came back with attitude. She then commanded, "Let the souls go back to their rightful owners, and I'll make sure your bones stay somewhat connected to one another.

"Ha ha ha ha. Your mouth speaks foolishness that will get you nowhere, girl," The Reaper warned, "But I LOVE a gamble… Alright, if it is a bet you want, it is a bet you will receive. Winner take all. If you defeat me in the allotted time of 20 minutes, I will return the souls.... but if you lose… I keep the souls AND… you give me the necklace. The crystal containing such power is IMMENSE. One that that FOOLISH dark lord has been attempting to withhold from me for EONS. An amulet such as that will make me the most powerful being of the underworld." Sonia felt disdain from the idea, but she didn't have a choice… Sonia spoke out, "Deal." To the Reaper, and they both gave each other a gentleman's handshake while Sonia frowned and The Reaper gave an evil smile. The Reaper then started the clock AND used the handshake and threw Sonia backwards, and Sonia quickly landed on her feet. However, the Reaper had lunged into the air readying the scythe to puncture Sonia, and Sonia quickly dived out of the way. Sonia then lunged and began to clash with the Grim Reaper. Sonia and the Reaper's weapons collided with one another in milliseconds before the two back away in a jump. The reaper then began to use his magic to summon tiny skeletons to attack and chomp at her arms and legs. Sonia screamed in pain as she kicked the annoying buggers off.

"I thought this was a fair fight!!!" Sonia shouted as she kicked the demons away, only to be harshly knocked back by tough blow from The Reaper.

"Who said Evil is fair?" The Reaper commented as he then proceeded to make separate versions of himself, all of which began to punch and attack Sonia with rounds of its evil magic. Sonia is knocked around harshly, but then shouts and plunges her sword into the ground, causing the ground to create an energy wave which knocked the various Reapers away. Sonia then immediately swiped at one Reaper, only for it to disappear, and she did it with another one, and another one, and another one, only for the same results. The Reaper taunted that she'd never find them. However, Matthew's d.o.g.g.y instincts were kicking in, and the yellow dog drooled at the sight of The Reaper's bony body. Scruffles looked and tried to stop him, but Matthew pushed and shoved Scruffles out of the way and jumped onto some of the giant monsters and lunged for the Reaper, with Scruffles following behind in an attempt to keep him down. The REAL Reaper then suddenly screams from receiving the bite and attempts to shake the British dog off. Sonia sees this and takes the opportunity to charge at the Reaper and she then swipes and slashes the Reaper, damaging him all well. Sonia then gives the Reaper a few swift kicks to the ribs and pelvis and was about to thrust her sword into him, but the Reaper stopped her with his magic and froze her, and the cat-and-dog duo in place as he then grabbed his scythe and blasted them with a laser and they flew straight into the bed of incoming hypnotized citizens. The Reaper then flew into the air and proceeded to take the hypnotized citizens and combine and stack them on top of each until they formed into an amalgamated BEAST. Sonia was about to lung at them, but the amalgamation slapped her back to the ground.

"JUST TRY and DEFEAT me, GIRL!" The Reaper shouted darkly from above, "For you are running out of time!" The Reaper then pointed to the clock and showed that she hand less than ten minutes remaining. Sonia was then greeted to the amalgamation's fist as it pounded her halfway into the ground. Incapacitated, Sonia was stuck taking the beating, so Matthew and Scruffles bite at the amalgamation, causing it to wince and scream from its injuries, all while the pets were taken on a wild ride. Sonia was able to get back up, and she grabbed her sword. She was about to strike the beast, but is stopped when Feliferi, from within the amulet, shouts, "NO! They may be hypnotized, but they're still living humans!" Sonia immediately stops, but quickly jumps out of the way as the amalgamation stomps at the ground violently.

Time was getting shorter! The Grim Reaper was blasting violent spells while his scythe attempted to cut her to shreds. Any attempts to properly traverse the battlefield were hindered by the various creatures of the Underworld as they pitched in and assaulted her as she got nearby them. Not only that, but more and more of the people of Orujinshinaka were getting their souls stolen. Meanwhile, the Mellisas and the ghosts, who had been both setting up for the party, and searching for Julianna, heard the commotion outside, and looked out the window. They both saw the huge set of creatures outside, and saw the huge orb out there as well. However, as they saw stared deeply at the orb, the original Mellisa turned to her clone and saw that her clone's eyes had turned from blue to red, and that she had an angry expression on her face. Mellisa then turned and saw that the ghosts had the same red-hot anger on their faces as well. The clone Mellisa then jumps through said window and lands down on some of the monsters of the graveyard while the ghosts followed with her. The original Mellisa called to her, but to no avail. Mellisa then attempts to jump out, but knowing she might hurt herself, she instead tries the front door, only to then be greeted to a threatening roar from the gargoyles, and she immediately shut the door and locked it, deciding it would be safer to stay inside. As Sonia continued to fight as much as she could. The Clone Mellisa and the ghosts of the Haberdashery Mansion dash for the orb, pushing, shoving, and diving their way past the monsters and other hypnotized humans out of the way.

"Guuuuhhhhhhh….." was the sound uttered by Sonia's hypnotized dad, David, as he headed towards the soul orb himself, only to be shoved to the ground by Clone Mellisa. Mellisa's Clone and the ghosts see that the souls were being unrightfully trapped, and looked for ways to free them. The four began to hit the soul orb, but no proper damage could be done to it. The little ghost child then saw that the orb was being held up by two giant and sturdy skeletons. The child ghost tells the others and they attempt to knock it down only for that to go with no avail either. The elderly ghost then turns to a giant one-eyed demon and taunts it by stating, "By Jove, sir. Do you ever wash yourself with those giant MEATSACKS you call arms? Why I swear. Your mother must LOATHE you for how you look. No wonder you're a demon of the underworld…" The one-eyed beast was taken aback by these insults and raised its fist into the air and then THRUSTS it in HIGH-VELOCITY! The punch was so fast, that it not only went straight through the ghost, but it also headed straight for the soul orb, which unfortunately suffered the worst impact as it was flung from its base and rolled down the hills of the graveyard. With a protruding crack in its glass encas.e.m.e.nt, the orb bumped and crash into various tombs, dead trees, and statues until rolling up a LONG hill and staying there for nearly five seconds before rolling back down at the speed of a launched piston, going back through the same pathways it took early. Meanwhile, Sonia was stuck in quarrel with the Grim Reaper, but was almost out of time. Sonia was breathing heavily from the beating she was taking, and the clock showed that she only had thirty seconds on the clock. Sonia tried to fight more, but she was continually knocked down. Matthew and Scruffles were caged by the Grim Reaper's magic and held by the monsters so they wouldn't interfere.

"Give it up, girlie… You've lost…" The Reaper noted with a vile smile, cackling as he slowly raised his scythe and powered it up so that he could reap Sonia's soul. Sonia laid there and was about to take her defeat. But… a rumble is heard from the distance. Sonia leaned her head to see what seemed to be a green thing coming at her. Sonia squinted her eyes and saw that it was the soul orb rolling its way STRAIGHT towards her. Sonia suddenly woke out of her as a sudden idea came to her. Sonia pointed to the orb and told the Reaper, "Y'know… you need to work out your bets more…" Confused, the Reaper turned to see what Sonia was talking about, only to get shocked to see his Soul Orb off of its encasing and careening towards him and Sonia. The Reaper disappears and stops in front of the orb and pushes against it in an attempt to slow it down, pressing his hands on the large crack to keep it held together. Sonia sees this, and despite her injuries, she gets up slowly and grabs her sword. Sonia grips her sword tightly as she waited for the right moment. She aims her sword and squints her eyes as she waited. She puts her body in a throwing position and when the moment strikes, Sonia HURLS her sword as hard as she could. The Reaper finally puts the gigantic orb to a halt, but then….

SHNK-CRASH!! Sonia's mystical sword pierced straight through The Grim Reaper and penetrated the cracks of the Soul Orb, causing the cracks to grow bigger. The Grim Reaper, who's stuck in severe penetration, utters a shocked grunt, and the Soul Orb EXPLODES, vaporizing the Reaper from the sudden explosion. The explosive blast had also vaporized much of the surrounding demons and monsters who were caught in the blast, while blowing back, Sonia, Matthew, Scruffles, the clone Mellisa, the ghosts of the Haberdashery Mansion, and the soulless and hypnotized people. The giant amalgamation of hypnotized citizens were separated because of the blast, causing everyone to fall on top of each other in a huge pile. Mellisa, from in the mansion, had taken shelter in a broom closet when the violent blast blew her inside.
