Sorceress 101

Mu Lingxi and Janus dash back to the carriages right after Prince Long Fuzi took his leave. Actually he tried his best to persuade Mu Lingxi to come with him so that he can compensate her for the magical nucleus, he reckoned that the nucleus was rightfully hers since it was her spiritual beast who defeated the lava breathing boar at the first place.

It is just that he no longer have enough time to prepare for another hunt and he really wanted to gift his younger brother something that he put effort with, like hunting the beast on his own that is why he insisted to get that magical nucleus. However Mu Lingxi decline his invitation politely.

Soon, Mu Lingxi and her little black cat Janus was back at the banquet. Lingxi of course was already wearing a fresh set of clothes and had also done cleaning herself.

Thanks to Yanyan's wise maneuver of befriending some palace maids, they gain access to private room for her to change her clothes without garnering much attention. This personal assistant of hers was really good at her job.

Yanyan was unsure what to do when Janus abruptly left her after they reach the carriages. She was even petrified when she saw the cat transform into a huge black panther and seems to be in a hurry.

But knowing that there is nothing much she could help if she will follow, she decided to do the thing she was good at.

For the mean time she have to prepare everything that her young miss might possibly need once she came back. After all, it was not her young miss first time going missing. So she was somehow used to it and already know what to do.

When everything was good to go, they headed back to the banquet and there they saw the guest crowding and among the crowd she could see the familiar figure of that annoying young prince Long Yue. Smiling amiably at the crowd.

"MEOW"

[Oh look little lad? I can smell another trouble brewing. If I may ask, do you have a birth mark on your b.u.t.t or something???]

"That, I'm not sure of. I guess I need to check that out later." Mu Lingxi replied to her cat.

This would be the first time that our main character don't get pissed off from Janus taunting.

Even she herself was thinking the same thing.

"Why do I have to be so unlucky during this banquet?"

Out of courtesy and as what was expected for her as a lady of a prestigious clan, she have to act as if there was nothing unpleasant going on between her and this royal prince. She gracefully stand up and curtsied to greet Prince Long Yue.

"My lady, have we met before??? You look familiar." he commented innocently

"MEOW"

Mu Lingxi was also confused and at the same time she was not sure how she would respond to this question.

If she said that she don't know him, will he left her off just like that???

But he have eye witnesses and she was sure enough that sooner or later, rumors about that incident will spread all over the palace courtyard.

Does it mean I don't have a choice but to expose myself and admit that I actually hit a prince???

"HUH! He sure was cornering me. In either way, I'm doomed. If I said that I don't know him before the crowd, and rumors spread. They will think that I'm guilty and I was trying to deny my affair with this young prince."

"MEOW"

[ Yet if you tell him that you knew each other. You don't have a choice but to admit that you wronged him. After all, you cannot just put the a blame to a prince, unless you would like to create another trouble for yourself.]
