She replied with much conviction.

"Who said so????"

Prince Long Fuzi's voice at this moment was devoid of any warmth. A stark contrast from his ardent personality.

"Errr... Queen Elsa??? From frozen???" this time Mu Lingxi replied but her voice was too small to be heard properly.

"MEOW"

[Geez,... How I hope I can smack her little head just this once. Where was her brain located? At her foot?? As if that prince over there have watched Frozen before.]

Janus who was sitting quietly all this time cannot help but comment. He was trying to avoid getting involved in this drama. He believe that things like these needs to be handled by Mu Lingxi by her own since it will help to hone her personality and decision making.

"Lady Lingxi, what you said is not making sense. You're excuse was too lame"

"But I'm serious about it" she almost cried when she realized that Prince Long Fuzi was not taking her explanation seriously.

"I'm sorry Mu Lingxi. But this marriage arrangement has been agreed upon by the emperor and your head clan. You don't have a choice but to accede. Don't worry, you will eventually learn to accept your fate. I promise that I will treat you better and the title of the main wife will be rightfully yours."

As he said that, Prince Long Fuzi turn around and walked away. Living Mu Lingxi standing aghast.

"M--ma-main wife???? What do you mean by that???"

She shouted to Prince Long Fuzi's departing back, but he did not give her the answer. Instead a sweet voice with a hint of mockery and disgust answered from her back.

"It means that you will be the first wife,.. and definitely not the last"

"What do you mean by that Mu Yanxiao?!!"

Mu Lingxi did not bother to hide the annoyance in her voice. She don't have much energy to play around with this cousin of hers, she had enough for this day.

"It means that you are officially part of their dirty game of thrones. Congratulations for being the first pawn. No worries, I will soon join your boat."

"What are you saying??? Yanxiao I don't like all of this. You can have it all by yourself. All I wish is to live a peaceful life."

"Well I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you don't have a say to this matter. Do you really expect that head clan was doting us for nothing??? You're too naive if you think that way. That old hag was raising us to help him wield more power in the future. We are just a mere tool for him"

Mu Yanxiao straight forward explanation send chills to Mu Lingxi's back. Coupled with her sorry appearance right now, this cousin of hers looks someone who lost her mind.

"Stop talking nonsense! Grandfather is not like that!" Mu Lingxi shouted in defiance, she cannot believe a word that Mu Yanxiao just said.

"MEOW"

[Woah! I admire your cousin's train of thought. If we were on a more modern setting than this, I will suspect that she had been reading a lot of conspiracy theories all this time.]

Mu Yanxiao forced a smile out of her heavily make up face. To humor her cousin she replied,

"Sure, you can think it that way if that what makes you feel better. But don't get too surprised once you heard the news of me, getting engaged to the crown prince in a day or two.

Now that your marriage has been finally decided, I'm sure that your loving grandfather will make sure to push forward the engagement between me and the crown prince. To avoid unnecessary trouble, just in case something out of his calculation happened."

As she said that, she turned around and walked away. Leaving Mu Lingxi standing alone for the second time around. This time, Janus decided to approached Mu Lingxi and climb at the nearest railings, he sat there with his tail dangling and swaying from left to right.

"MEOW"
