Sorceress 101

After they were done in their meal, Mu Lingxi asked one of the receptionists to prepare a room for them. She decided that it is better to stay in the tavern until dawn. She does not dare wander outside and risks being found out.

"I better just stay in here and wait for the ship until dawn. In that way, we can avoid getting late."

"MEOW"

[ Hmmm.. yeah, we better stay in here than be sorry.]

After an hour or so, Mu Lingxi was already sleeping soundly on her bed. Janus, on the other hand, looks as if he was about to turn into a feral

He was running back and forth, covering the distance from wall to wall. Sometimes, he will climb his way up to the window using the curtain. Or he will scratch the carpet relentlessly.

"MEOOOOWWWW"

[ This won't do! I cannot! I'm not use of procrastinating! I'm a cat of action!!!]

To entertain himself, he will sometimes try catching his own tail. Resulting in him to run into a loop and end up getting dizzy.

Sensing that Mu Lingxi stirred on her bed, Janus redoubles his pity act.

"MEOW"

[I gonna die due to boredom in here.]

"MEOW"

[Goodbye everyone!!!]

Then Janus closed his eyes slowly. Mu Lingxi who just woke up stared at her overdramatic cat lying on the floor. But she didn't mind him as she hides under the thick blanket.

When Janus did not feel any movement, he opened his right eye and observed what Mu Lingxi was doing.

When he saw that Mu Lingxi was going back to her sleep and even chose to hide beneath the blanket, he opened both his eyes and raise his body, half lying.

"MEOW"

[And please...

Tell Luna I love her

Tell Luna I need her

My love for her will never die...]

He sang the chorus of the song 'Tell Laura I love her' by Ray Peterson. While he tried to tweak some of its lyrics by replacing Laura into Luna, his love interest.

Then he falls back to the floor, lying motionless. This time, he even sticks his tongue out.

"Geez! Janus! What now?! For Pete's sake! Why don't you just rest??? Quit that musical skit of yours. We have to take a rest before our departure tomorrow at dawn..."

She chafes at Janus' silly behavior. But since her somnolent feeling already slip away from her grasp and it was long gone now, sleeping was no longer an option for her.

To make her time more productive she chooses to rearrange her things inside the storage ring.

Good thing, she had brought a lot of dry foods before she ran away. She will surely be able to survive starvation within a month.

She also changes into a fresh set of clothes. She did not bring dresses with her. She finds it irritating and too hassles to wear those kinds of clothes especially when you are on the run.

What she brought were those ordinary-looking clothes that Yanyan prepared for her before when they chose to go in the night market.

Not too long later, Mu Lingxi realized that Janus became silent all of a sudden. Knowing that it was rare for her blabby cat to be taciturn for no reason, she suspected what he might up to.

When she looked around, there she saw her little black cat, enjoying himself at the corner while he was nibbling at the morsel of their food stock.

"Hey, you spoof little cat!"
