Sorceress 101

As if to prove Mu Lingxi's initial suspicion, the ship came to a sudden halt! It seems that they were stuck on something.

The master and cat duo were jolted by this sudden stop and they almost stumble on the ground.

Realizing that something was not right, the people who were about to take a rest for the day also stirred into action as they go out of their rooms one after another.

The moon hides behind the cloud while the ship was stuck in the middle of unknown waters. Thick fog also congregated around the stranded ship affecting their visibility.

Everything was eerily quiet until a small voice shattered the silence. Then as if doing a choir rehearsal, more and more voices started to join.

An alluring melody sounded within the night!

It was a sweet female voice singing harmoniously. Mu Lingxi tried to listen to the lyrics of the song but she was not sure why it seems that her brain becomes muddled preventing her to understand a single word that they were singing.

The harder she tried to focus on the song, the harder for her to think and it seems like she was losing the sense of what was happening.

At the corner of her eyes, she saw her cat Janus opening his mouth and waving his paws frantically as if he was trying hard to say something but Mu Lingxi's vision was starting to blur.

"MEOW"

[Snap out of it!! Hey!! Little lass! Stop listening! It's a mermaid's voice!! No! Listen to me! Hey!!!]

When he saw that Mu Lingxi lost the focus on her eyes, he panicked. He was not sure what exactly will happen if they fall under the influence of mermaid's voice but his instinct told him that it was not something good.

He tried to nip on Mu Lingxi finger until it bleeds hoping that the pain will snap her out of her trance, but to no avail.

When he saw that Mu Lingxi was about to sand up he quickly jump to her shoulder and used her paws to cover her ears.

Hopefully, this sound interference will change something. But to his dismay. it is all for naught!

Not knowing what to do to deal with this situation he jumps down from Mu Lingxi's shoulder and decided to transform into his Panther form.

If the situation calls for it, he will not hesitate to give this little lass a good bite if he fails to stop her in any other way.

Mu Lingxi was walking listlessly on the edge of the ship as if she was hypnotized while a black panther was trailing after her. Biting his dress to hinder her to advance forward.

Janus was on his wits' end! He was losing idea on how he will snap Mu Lingxi out of her trance. Without any idea of what he was going to do, he let go of Mu Lingxi's dress and issued a loud roar instead.

"MWAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!"

Sadly, it was too late for the others as some of the victims were already seconds late and they already jump to the water.

Mu Lingxi saw the passengers of the ship jump on the water on their own accord as they swim away from the ship. Heading to one direction. They were swimming as fast as they could as if their life depended on it.

When she looked to where they were heading, she saw a bunch of humanoid creatures sitting on a rocky shore that appears to be in the middle of water not too far away.

Their pale white skin seems to be glowing in the dark and their long green hair cascaded on their n.a.k.e.d body. They have an upper half body of a human and tail of a fish on the lower part.

They were laughing maniacally as they looked at their victims swimming towards them.

When a man reaches within the rocky shore, one of the mermaids grabs him and bite at his neck!!!!

The scene was so gruesome. The beautiful face of the mermaid becomes covered by blood as it spurted out from the man's neck.

The blood was a great contrast to her pale white skin, dying the mermaid's skin that is white as snow red as strawberries in the summer night.
