Spiritual Seed Awakening

Chapter 4 - 4: Changes

After some sleep, I reawaken stronger than before, and with a second body. I am so lucky that the soul attack worked.

I only wanted to use my soul to test its limits but found it was limited by my seed body. This being said, my attack was still able to defeat the worm.

If I had not acted while it was in this state, I may have become worm food. The seed was in a weakened due to malnutrition. My body was in a hibernation-like state to conserve energy while trying to gather the necessary nutrients for who knows how long.

My soul is stronger then the worm's was, but a hose can only transfer so much water at a time. The issue is that my weakened seed body couldn't handle my soul.

A soul can be like water. While the body is like a vase. A small vase can't hold a lot of water. If the small vase was over filled with water, the vase may break under the pressure. while large vase is too heavy of a burden to carry for only a little water to drink. The end result would be ghe body would need to use the water in the vase to transport it. This would put a burden water til there was none remaining.

In short, a weak soul is strained if it has to control a strong body, and a weak body is strained by a strong soul.

I just finished absorbing the remains of the last host it seems. My talent for soul manipulation seems to have come through a fusion with its soul.

It had simple memories of wasting away. Its mind was like a newborn. It had a weak soul, but compared to mine it to mine is like a puddle to a lake.

That attack drained a lot of the reserves I had left. The benefits out weighted my losses though. I removed the danger to my soul on my main body.

The new body holds half of my soul now. It's like using my "eyes". I split off a portion of my soul into the worm body. This allows me to easily control the worm body, but it's mentally draining.

So I have to remain dormant while my new body explores. My second body is not like a puppet to give commands to. It's hard to describe, but it's still me.

Since the host is dead in body, and soul, there is little resistance. I don't fear any rejection from this body. The second benefit being I now have a mobile body. Even if I had full reserves in my body, I know why the seed almost starved to death.

Who throws a seed soil this poor? I would never have germinated here. I need to try and restore my reserves while I can, and find some decent soil.

The worm can move around, and find some food. As I plan out my quest,I am able to look at my main body through lens of the worm.

My main body is tiny. It's about the size of a sesame seed. I notice my second body can not sense my main body that well from a normal pebble without my soul. I guess my main body has an added natural defense that allows it to act as a stealthy container for the soul, and I allow my seed body to remain where it is.

Its natural camouflage is it's the best defense against the other worms. So it should be fine. I will use the worm to gather resources for my main body. Also controlling two bodies is a strain at the moment.

While using the worm's body, I notice I can still use my soul to see around myself, although much weaker than my main body. I use my worm body to dig towards the a nearby stone.

Like before in the memories of the worm, I can not break it open, but can control worms body then it could. It was a simple creature that only knew how to dig, and eat.

I use the soul I stored in its body pass though the outer layer of the rock, and absorb to the energy in the stone. It draws some energy into the worm. It's not much, but for the worm it's working wonders.

The worms body begins to heal. It'd still dead as hell, but now the corpse is becoming more intact. My soul begins to pull out small amounts of energy for a while til the stone is empty.

The stone shatters after it is left empty. The worm is now full of energy, but it's not a great container as it leaks slowly. I rush the worm body back to my main. The main body has just finished devouring the corpse worm soul. When the worm nears my main body. I use my powerful soul to draw the excessive amount of new energy into my main body. This new food I find out needs to be digested in a way. My body starts to compress the energy, and store it.

I feel the urge to sleep again from my main body. I sleep again after my meal of manna, and soul. I stand guard of my main body.
