Stardom - Logan Williams

"Hello. Welcome Logan. Can I call you Logan?"

Logan at the woman seated in the middle. Looking at the confidence and pride oozing our of her, he was clear that she was in charge among the three. Logan with his typical enchanting smile said," Hello. Ofcourse you can call me Logan."

"Confidant.. Good. The most important aspect in a model is his or her's confidence. Don't be nervous. This is just a preliminary audition to see whether you are fit to be a model. My name is Amanda Wilkins. You can call me Amanda. I am one of the directors here. These here are my colleagues who are in the casting and scouting department"

Logan greeted both of them. After the greeting were done, Amanda said,"As you can see, this is the runway we use normally for auditions. Your first assignment is to walk down the runway. Be confidant and be tall. You can start now."

She pressed the button on the portable speaker and music started playing. Logan was standing at the start of the runway. He closed his eyes. Quickly went through all the things he had learned over the past few days. When he opened his eyes, confidence could be seen in them. And then, he started walking. He kept his head high, not looking down. He kept his vision past the interviewers as though he was gazing at an imaginary thing. Taking long strides, he let his arms naturally swing by his side. This kept his movement very fluid and minimised any stiffness. Keeping his mouth natural, he added a tinge of a smile. He kept his posture natural. All in all, he had to be a blank canvas. That's what the fashion designers and photographers needed in a model.

He walked down the runway, on reaching the end he gave striking pose and then turn to walk toward the start again. The interviewers were surprised. They had thought he would be novice. But they couldn't find any glaring mistakes in his walk. Amanda in particular found this more surprising. She had seen his songs when she had been at the Los Angeles office. She had thought he was a rough gem, she had dug out. But it seemed now that the gem was already on its way to being polished. Though she was a director of the agency,she also worked as a casting director. This fellow can sing and can model. If could act too, then he would be a complete package. He could be a future star. While all these thoughts were filling her brain, Logan had already completed his walk.

"Logan. You've surprised us. How can you walk so well on the runway? Did you taken lesson from someone?"

Logan had a IQ of a genius. Though he himself liked being narcissistic he couldn't show it that side to just anyone. He acted embarrassed and said," I just studied from the internet and watched some videos."

"Hahahaha. Talented. I loved your runway walk. For a complete novice, you were too good. There was some stiffness in your movements. Especially when you reached the end. Also some of your postures had a some faults..Don't worry though, you were quite good. And with this,accompanying your good looks and physique, you passed the first test."

"Thank you Amanda"

"We would be taking a few Polaroid photos now. That is the second part of the audition. No matter how good you walk, you must be photogenic to be a successful model."

One of the other interviewer called in the photographer in.

"This is Alex. He is one of the photographers hired by the agency. He'll be taking your photos."

Alex had a slightly feminine look and personality. He had been irritated when he had been told to come audition a newbie. He felt it was a waste of his time and talent. But once he entered the hall and took a good look at Logan, his eyes lit up.

A masterpiece.

So gorgeous.

So hot.

So good looking.

"My,my, isn't it really hot in here",he said fanning his face.

"Amanda, where did you find this godly face. Look at his physique. Ohh my..", he had already gone close to Logan and started to circle him looking at him as though he was the most precious thing in the world.

Alex extended his hand towards Logan and said,"Hi. I am Alex."

Logan shook his hand and said," Hi. I am Logan. Nice to meet you."

"Pray tell me Logan. By any chance are you gay?"

Logan was taken aback by such a straight forward question. He felt awkward and said,"No Alex I am not. And also I am just 16." It wasn't Logan's fault that he looked like he was 21 due to his physique.

"What? Just 16? Well,it's such a shame, such a shame. Such a masterpiece and not gay."

Amanda gave a deliberate cough. Alex broke out of his though process and said,"Fine fine. Let's get started."

They took a set of photos with Logan in various poses. Although he was good at runway walk,they found that he wasn't that good at posing as model for photos. Finally the audition came to an end.

Alex was about to leave when he came to Logan and said,"This is my card. It's for when you turn 18. And just in case...... Hehehe." Logan although awkward, could only accept the card.

Amanda was quite happy with Logan's performance.

"Logan, you've passed the audition. You'll have to undergo mandatory one month training at our agency. It will all be included in the contract. Mr.Jenkins here is the standard contract from our agency. See if this is fine for your client and if you need anything changed."

The other two interviewers were surprised at this. The Amanda they knew never compromised with anyone. They looked at Logan in a different light now. Why was she so confident about him?

"You can use this room to discuss with Logan and then come to my office. Someone will escort you there."

After saying this Amanda left with the other two.

Jenkins and Logan started going through the contract. The contract was not too generous, not too harsh. The contract was for a period of 4 years. Logan would definitely not agree to that.
