Stardom - Logan Williams

Logan was fascinated by the pair of cheeks and just couldn't help but keep pinching them frequently. He just couldn't let go of his little sister. Little Mia was also very comfortable with her brother which surprised their mother because Mia didn't open up to people. She always used be shy when meeting people. Logan captured her in a heart beat.

The only person who hadn't said anything was Bella. She was trying hard to control her emotions. Keeping her tears in check. 6 years ago when the accident happened she was 8 and Logan was 10. She was just an adorable kid who followed her brother around with blind worship. For her, her brother was the best at everything. Whatever her brother did was always right. She followed him so much that they had to eventually add her into her brother's gang of friends.

One evening when she was following her brother and it happened, she forgot to react. She had blood over her body while she was holding her brother in her arms. His friends were scrambling for help while all she could do was hold onto him and cry. The scene haunted her till date. She felt somehow it was her fault that her brother was in such a bad shape now. Her brother had saved her from getting hit and had gotten into a accident instead. That accident had changed her. She was no longer the bubbly , adorable girl who liked prancing around playing pranks on everyone. She had decided that she would be the best everything in her brother's place. She already decided she would become a neurosurgeon. She became an ice queen. She only focused on her school and studies. Helen had started worrying about her. Bella never showed her feeling on surface which brought alarm signs to Helen.

She was now top student in her school. She brought her school glory in various fields like academics , sports, music. Even after all this success when her brother couldn't wake up, what use was all this glory when her brother couldn't watch it and be proud of her.

When she heard that her brother had woken up she was ecstatic. But as she was getting closer and closer meeting her brother,she started overthinking that what if her brother blamed her for not being able to do anything during her accident.

Now that her brother was looking at her she just couldn't hold up her tears and she said crying:"Big bro. I missed u so much. I am sorry big brother, I am a useless sister. It's because of me you had to suffer so much." Bella started with sobs, those converted to gentle crying, in the end she started wailing and crying loudly. All the pent up emotions for 6 years came out together.

A torrent of memories came through Logan's mind in the form of images and videos. After a minute or so the system gave another notification.

[Host has now completed memory transfer. Host can access any particular memory at anytime from the database.]

Logan searched for the memory of the accident. He could see a video of a 5 kids walking on the sidewalk in his mind. He instantly recognised Bella and himself. He couldn't remember the other 3 boys and 1 girl. He would have to search them up later. The video showed the gang walking, laughing, cracking jokes having a good time. Bella noticed a stray cat on the road just by the side walk. She moved towards the it to hold the cat and screeching sound of a car's tires could be heard. The driver tried to avoid hitting Bella but couldn't completely and the car would graze her. In a flash a figure dashed towards her and pushed her back towards her sidewalk. Ofcourse this was Logan. While doing so he lost his balance, started falling on his back when his head hit the moving car and he fell on the edge of the sidewalk. In the present Logan could see all this video as third person. May be this was what the system was capable of.

Once he fell on the edge of the sidewalk his friends rushed towards him, asking him how he was and trying to stop his bleeding from the head. He ignored all of them and asked:"Bella? Bella? Bella?" Bella who had fallen on the sidewalk in a daze instantly jolted back to reality and rushed towards her brother, tears streaking down her face:" Big bro. I am here. Big bro plz be okay. Why did you do that? Oh my god! You are bleeding so much. I am sorry big bro....."

"You silly girl. Ofcourse I had to save you. That's what big brothers do for their little sisters. No one can hurt my little sister. It's good you are fine. Look, you have scr.a.p.ed your knee. How clumsy can you be girl" said Logan with a smirk. He added: "Big brother is going to be fine. Who do you think I am? Isabella Williams' brother right. I will be fine." As soon as he finished saying this he started convulsing, his eyes uprolling in the sockets and he passed out.

The memory finished here. Logan thought about what the previous Logan said and repeated it in his mind.

For someone who had no family in his past life the concept of unconditional love was a novel concept. He really felt true love and guilt coming from the girl standing in front of him holding her hands in the front looking miserable. He understood the love the REAL Logan felt for his little sister. He instantly made up his mind. He couldn't allow his sister to cry more. Determination sprung on his face and he thought no one can hurt my sister.

He took both of Bella's folded hands, pulled his sobbing sister closer and said:" Hey silly girl!" Bella froze in his arms. He continued:"What is this nonsense about being useless and me suffering because of you? Are you even old enough to say such big words? Didn't I tell you the last time itself that this is what big brothers do for their little sisters? Or are you old enough to not listen to what your big brother says? You will always be my little sister no matter how much you grow up"

Just as he finished saying this Bella pushed aside Mia who as sitting on Logan's l.a.p and embraced him. Logan started patting her on the back telling her to stop crying...

Mia who had been pushed away was now angry at her big sis. Big sis was hogging brother now. She already had 7-8 good years with him and she still couldn't let her have him. Hmmph. Not talking to big sis now..

Logan had no idea that he was being fought over with. He was in his own thoughts. So this is 'family'. He felt grateful for the second chance he had received. This time he was going to cherish everything he had received. No one could take his family from him.
