Chapter 11 – I actually know a lot of them!

It’s been two hours since we left the house.

I had planned to do a whole lot of things, but I only managed to finish opening my bank card and mobile phone card.

But this speed is not to be blamed on Asaba Rika, the main reason is that the queue at the bank was a waste of time and Shen Yu had not been to the bank for a long time.

Back at the car park, Shen Yu opened the door and Rika put the bear in the back seat and helped him to sit down.

“Are you hungry?” Shen Yu asks, it’s already past twelve noon.

“What are we going to eat?” Asaba Rika perked up, she was also a little hungry.

“Take a walk.”

“Not driving there?”

“It’s mealtime and it’s a lot of time to waste driving to find a parking space.”

Asaba Rika has never eaten in a Chinese restaurant before, so I’m not sure what kind of concept Shen Yu is talking about when he says there are a lot of people.

The restaurants in Japan are generally small, similar to the family type, and do not have many tables inside, the dining environment is rather less than most places in China.

Shen Yu didn’t know what to take Rika to eat, so he wandered into a teahouse.

Shen Yu ordered a pot of tea and then gave Asaba Rika the menu and told her to order whatever she liked.

“Are these going to be big portions? Will we not be able to eat it all?”

Asaba Rika looked carefully at the menu, which dazzled her with a variety of dishes that she wanted to try.

Most of the dishes in the teahouse are exquisite, expensive it is true, and the portions are not large.

Asaba Rika ordered the signature stir-fried prawns and eel paste with rattling oil, then handed the menu back to Shen Yu for him to order.

“Don’t you want to order two more?”

Shen Yu then added a few hairy crabs and two bowls of bean curd soup.

After handing the menu to the waiter, the tea set and tea leaves were brought up, and the small sand pot with water was placed aside to boil in an alcoholic copper stove.

“I’ll make the tea!” Asaba Rika volunteered.

“Would you?” Shen Yu was somewhat incredulous.

Asaba Rika also loves tea, and don’t look at her like she’s silly, but she actually knows the tea ceremony.

Asaba Rika was very focused on the tea making process, from washing the pot, brewing, dividing the cups and serving the tea, she seemed very skilled.

She has beautiful fingers that dance like sprites between the glasses.

” Shen Yu , please have some tea!”

Shen Yu took the cup of tea and tasted it. Although the tea ceremony is more of a ritual and changes the taste of the tea very little, this ritual naturally gives a sense of peace of mind and seems to make the tea taste a little stronger.

“I didn’t know you could make tea.”

After tasting it, Shen Yu couldn’t help but compliment her.

Shen Yu rarely compliments people, and this is the first time he has done so for Asaba Rika.

Shen Yu didn’t teach her how to eat, but she watched herself for a while and soon peeled the crab meat cleanly.

” Shen Yu , do you usually have a part-time job?”

Shen Yu has his own work, and he is a big name in the forum, often outsourcing modules to outside technology companies.

His father was not very supportive of his computer research and felt that he had lost touch with his normal life, so he had to earn his own money from these jobs.

The other day I was helping a company with a face recognition-related algorithm, and Shen Yu didn’t rush to deliver it.

Asaba Rika was a bit dizzy just listening to it and waved his hand: “I can’t do this, I get sleepy when I see maths”

Asaba Rika is a bit discouraged: “Shen Yu is better, if it were me, I would probably only be working as a waitress or something.”

“In China, labour is not as high as in Japan, and here manpower is worthless.”

Asaba Rika’s WeChat friends are even fewer and he is the only one.

” Shen Yu, why don’t we cook our own food from now on! I can learn to cook Chinese food!” Asaba Rika suggested to Shen Yu when he came out of the teahouse.

Cooking again involves grocery shopping, washing, stir-frying and dishwashing, something that is definitely not on Shen Yu’s radar.

“I can cook!”

“As much as you like, but don’t ask me for help.”

“Where we are married, it’s always the wife who cooks at home too, the husband doesn’t help.”
