Chapter 12 – Your wife is so old

When he finally got home, Shen Yu slumped into a chair, exhausted, and vowed never to go out shopping with a girl again.

The fatigue of both body and soul can be more torturous than doing a whole set of advanced papers.

Asaba Rika was still full of energy and didn’t bother Shen Yu when he got off the bus, he carried his things back and forth by himself.

“Kawaii the bear!”

Asaba Rika loved the furry bear that he got as a gift with his phone bill and put it on his bedside.

” Shen Yu, I’ve put the face wash in the bathroom for you!”

Shen Yu got up, carried the fish tank to the first floor and put in the three silly little goldfish from the red bucket.

Bai Xiaomeng also bumbles over and stares through the glass at the little goldfish.

He didn’t buy the goldfish, it was given to him last year by his neighbour Aunt Wang’s little sister, Su Zhifu, who is six years old and whom Shen Yu calls Puffs.

This summer she went back to the countryside as she has done in previous years, and it’s been over a month since I’ve seen her.

Asaba Rika is finally done too, meowing and lying down on the sofa, only then does he feel sore all over.

“If only someone would press the legs and take a hot bath, I’m sure I could sleep well tonight”

Shen Yu gave her a suspicious look, is there anyone else in this room but him, do you want me to do it for you, what a nice thought!

” Bai Xiaomeng , help me step on it.”

Shen Yu shouted and Bai Xiaomeng jumped on top of him, stomping on him.

Asaba Rika was envious and said in a nice voice, ” Bai Xiaomeng , help me step on it too.”

Bai Xiaomeng ignored her and even rolled his eyes at her, which made Asaba Rika very angry.

“Ha ha.”

Shen Yu was amused, jerked the cat around and leaned against the side of the sofa with Asaba Rika.

The afternoon was pleasant, and before we knew it, Shen Yu and Asaba Rika were both asleep on the sofa, and Bai Xiaomeng had stopped stepping and nestled in Shen Yu’s arms to take a nap.

The fan in the living room babbled on and on, outside the balcony was a world of gold with the occasional cool breeze blowing in, the curtains swung gently and the shadows stretched long and long on the ground

Shen Yu rarely takes a nap, so he slept a little heavily and had a small dream.

In his dream he becomes an astronaut and manages to get an expedition to the moon, and sure enough he finds something extraordinary and actually meets a huge unknown object!

The airship was bathtub shaped, and as to why it was bathtub shaped, he didn’t know, so he walked in curiously.

Then, inside the ship, he met Asaba Rika, who was taking a bath in the bathtub.

It was a good sci-fi adventure, but suddenly the script has changed!

Shen Yu wakes up as the sensible teenager in the dream.

When something too bizarre happens, Shen Yu immediately realises that she is dreaming.

When he opened his eyes, his arms felt a little heavy and he looked down to see Asaba Rika cowering like a kitten on the sofa, his head resting on his arm, his hands tucked into little fists in front of him, sleeping soundly and deeply.

Why is this sleeping on me? Shen Yu thought it was Bai Xiaomeng!

Bai Xiaomeng has been taken over and is now struggling to get Asaba Rika’s head off with his big head.

“Meow wow.”

Bai Xiaomeng, aggrieved, looks at Shen Yu and asks him to give the kitten the go-ahead.

The scent of a girl’s hair enters her nostrils and stirs Shen Yu’s hormones, so it’s no wonder that her dreams of sci-fi adventure have suddenly changed in style and colour.

Chop chop chop!!!

“Hey! Hey!”

Shen Yu is not at all gentle, tapping Asaba Rika to wake her up.

Asaba Rika was still a bit confused when she opened her eyes, her eyes couldn’t find the focus, she didn’t sleep well last night, she slept too well, she didn’t know where she was for a while, then she looked up and saw Shen Yu’s chin and his angry eyes

“Eh? Ah! You! Why are you in my room! Pervert!”

Asaba Rika, speaking Japanese in the heat of the moment, rolled over and sat up with his hands in front of him.

Shen Yu is a little angry at the thought of the bathtub-shaped spaceship, a dream that was ruined.

Asaba Rika blushed and squirmed as she apologised, embarrassed indeed.

“Just sat down and fell asleep ah I thought it was in the room also thought you were charging the phone bill to send the bear”

Su Zhifu was outside the door, carrying a large black plastic bag that looked like it contained a lot of heavy stuff, and when he saw Bai Xiaomeng running out of the enclosure, he grinned cheekily and went to jerk off his cat.

Soon after, Shen Yu came to open the door and almost didn’t recognise her when he saw how dark she looked.

” Puffs, why are you tanned like a piece of charcoal?”

“You all say that about me!”

Su Zhifu was defiant, as if she had expected Shen Yu to say the same thing about her, and sneaked a piece of black charcoal out of the stove when she came over.

“Look, black charcoal is so dark and I’m so white, it doesn’t look anything like that!”

Justifiable and speechless.

Asaba Rika was also behind Shen Yu, and seeing him so defeated for the first time made a big impression on Su Zhifu.

Apart from her tanned skin, the young girl is super Kawaii-looking, with big, soulful eyes, shoulder-length hair and a sticky voice with Jiang Nan’s distinctive accent.

” Kawaii!”

Asaba Rika, who has no resistance to cute things, squatted down just about the same height as Su Zhifu, took her hand and asked her, “What’s your name?”

Su Zhifu didn’t answer her right away, but sized her up curiously, then said to Shen Yu, in a small adult-like tone, “I’ve only been back in the country for two months and your wife is already so big!”
