The morning arrives with a thick blanket of mist.

"Is it me or it's getting a little misty in here?" Sayuri clutches her sister's sleeve, turning her head around. Nothing is visible to her in this white blanket. Her senses are dull and her body is shivering in the cold. "What if wolves appear from somewhere?"

"We will fight," Natsumi replies with a low voice. "Pay attention to all the sound."

"Shouldn't we return?" Sayuri asks the man to her left. She wants to grab his sleeve, but he looks like he wants to kill someone.

"No," Sei utters with a scowl on his face, "we must find her today."

She also wants to find her sister, but they won't be able to find anyone if they fall into a pit or get eaten by a wolf. They must wait for this mist to get cleared. That's the most logical thing to do.

However, Minami Sei keeps moving through the mist. Seeing him like that, Natsumi clenches her teeth and trails after him. That leaves Sayuri who has no choice but to follow two people who have given up on reasons.

As they continue to walk, Sayuri takes her phone out and checks if the network is gone or not. Why none of them is looking at the area map? She decides to check for the GPS.

"Sister, is that house on the top of the mountain is called Traveller's Lamp?" Sayuri asks, widening her eyes and curving her brows.

"I don't know." Natsumi unfolds the map that her contact in this country had given her before she started this journey. "That haunted house should not be far, but I don't know why we aren't there yet."

"We are walking in the opposite direction." Sayuri shows her phone's screen to her. "Look, the haunted house is actually popular. It is infamous as the Traveller's Lamp because there's a hanging lamp in front of the house. So, some blogger came here to check out the haunted house and wrote about his experience. I downloaded the location from his blog. The tracker is on. We only have to follow the tracker."

"..." Natsumi looks at the map in her hand, and then she glances at Sayuri's phone, not knowing what to say.

Minami Sei isn't any better. Why did he not think of this? He's supposed to be a detective. GPS tracking comes into his domain.

"We might be able to avoid the pitfalls if we follow this?" Sayuri turns on the torchlight and walks ahead of them. Natsumi and Sei share a look. It turns out that a fashion designer is smarter than a detective and a lawyer.

After a long time, they see the infamous lamp in the mist. The door is locked. The mist slowly dissipates around them. Sayuri stands behind her elder sister as Minami steps forward and knocks on the haunted house. What is waiting for them inside? Is it ghost? Demon?

A grey-haired man with turquoise eyes open the door. He takes a glance of each guest's face before he meets Minami Sei's eyes. "Welcome to my humble abode."

Minami Sei clenches his hand into a fist and punches Choi Minho's jaw. The immortal man takes a few steps backwards as a trail of blood begins from his split lip.

"She's inside," says Choi Minho, not bothering to touch the wound on his lips. Minami Sei storms into the house with Sayuri and Natsumi trailing after him.

Choi Minho heaves a sigh. He probably deserves the punch. After thinking a lot, he has decided to become greedy and go after Nakashima Wakana, knowing well that it's wrong.

So, she chose Minami Sei? But Choi Minho was never an option. He didn't think that he deserved such a beautiful woman in his life.

But Wakana wants him to life for himself.

When he was living for his brother, he wanted to spend his immortality paying for his brother's sins.

But Wakana doesn't want that. And he's also tired. He wants to live for himself.

The immortal man leans against the door, craving for some smoke. The mist is gone. And he can't think of a life without her.

Sei and Wakana loves each other. He's wishing for their relationship to end. Rather, he wants to be the despicable guy who worms into her heart and poisons it with his love alone.

Perhaps, it's a long way. But he's an immortal. MinamI Sei is not.

 ***

When Sei enters the room, he finds her eating melon slices.

She's dressed in a simple dark kimono. Her hair is pulled up into a bun, exposing her slender neck. Her cheeks are slightly red, but he can tell that it's the melon that has her squealing. The woman seems so carefree without worries that he doesn't know whether to scream at her or cry that he's been worried for nought.

"Sei?" She notices him standing at the door. Surprised, she raises her brows. "Why are you here?"

"Is that what you are supposed to say?" He asks her with a stern voice. "Why are you here?"

"It's just…" She puts down the melon slice on the plate. "We are in K Country."

"I brought him here." The voice comes from behind Minami Sei. Wakana c.o.c.ks her head and finds her sister, Nakashima Natsumi, glaring at her. "You fool! What do you think you are? Are you suffering from Stockholm's syndrome? How could you be so relaxed at a stranger's house?"

"E-ELD-D-DER S-SIST-ER-ER," Wakana stutters, panicking as she looks around for an escape. Natsumi marches in her direction and grabs her ears. Wakana lets out a pained cry when her ear is twisted without mercy.

"I am going to kill you today," Natsumi roars.

"Stop her!" Sayuri gives a light push on Minami Sei's back. "She's going to beat up your wife."

"She deserves a beating." He glowers at the woman who is looking at him with pleading eyes.

"You are her husband," Sayuri scolds him, "You want to see your wife get buried alive?"

Minami Sei lets out a heavy sigh. He heads toward the sister and grabs Natsumi's hand on Wakana's ear.

Wakana looks up at him hopefully as Natsumi grimaces at him.

"Let's beat her up together," Minami Sei suggests coldly.

Sayuri shakes her head. Her sister married a cold-hearted man.

"No!!!" Wakana cries. "I didn't do anything wrong."

"Why are you here like this?" Natsumi chides her, "You couldn't call any of us. Did he keep the phone away from you?"

"No…" Wakana sniffles. "I forgot."

"You are such a --" Natsumi keeps twisting Wakana's ear. Sei crosses his arms and eyes his wife darkly with no hint of mercy.

The door to the adjoint room opens and Oh Soo-Mi walks in the room with a smile. "Hello, there."

All eyes turn toward her. Wakana lets out a loud cry, "Oh-san, please save me. I will die at this rate."

"Do you want to get your fortune read?" Oh Soo-Mi asks the guests.

"If not then, let's have some tea and talk." Oh Soo-Mi walks to Wakana and sits beside her. "Minho, prepare some tea."

"En." Choi Minho appears in the room out of nowhere. He glimpses at Wakana once before he heads toward the kitchen.

Sei and Natsumi watch it all happen with wary eyes while Sayuri thanks the god for being merciful.

After a long silence, each of them take a seat and decide to talk civilly.
