Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 127 - The Best Of Friends

"Master... look at what I made!"

Aerion walked closer and observed the plant. "That is a formidable plant, indeed! It would seem that everything that grows here is of higher quality and grows even faster than in our garden... hmm, this is truly wonderful news. Just don't overwork yourself, alright?"

"But you always work hard... so why can't I?"

"I'm better at regenerating my lost energy so I can afford to go over my limits once in a while. Besides, I can't let you get hurt just for my own benefit..."

"I quite like growing plants and such... but I'll be sure to remember Master's words."

Aerion harvested the plant and added it to his growing collection inside of the Sky Poison Pearl. It has only been seven days since he had brought He Lin from the cloaked man yet he had gained so much from him. The deal was a huge bargain... the inheritance of an Ancestral God along with a Royal Wood Spirit for some gold he had no use for.

This should be enough, for now...

Aerion gathered all of the plants he had collected and started to experiment with them. Usually, one would have to use refining tools but Aerion didn't require such trivial things. All he needed was a flame and he could refine anything almost perfectly. Of course, the Sky Poison Pearl was better since it refined pellets with 100% effectiveness. But... if he combined both methods, then he could go beyond 100% because of the addition of his flame.

Using the 'observe' ability and his own insight, he was able to successfully refine many powerful pills on his first try. There were a few times where he failed to make anything significant but no one is perfect. After all, he didn't have any sort of recipe on him. The plants of the God Realm were far more mysterious and unique when compared to the ones in the Blue Pole Star as well, which didn't make it any easier.

"At last... the final pill has been made! I'll call it... I've named too many of them, He Lin, why don't you name this one?"

"You don't need to name all of them, Master."

"Hmm, you're right. I'll call this one the Nameless Pill then."

~

"You mentioned the strongest dragon to ever exist while speaking to the Dragon Monarch... what would be his name?"

"Eh, you heard about all that?"

"The Forbidden Land of Samsara tends to be quiet so it was not difficult to eavesdrop on your conversation."

Aerion wondered whether he should tell the truth or not. "I was talking about the Fire Dragon God."

"The Fire Dragon God, how do you know of him?"

"Well, I only met him once and that was our final meeting. He... gave me his full inheritance before passing."

"That is impossible."

Aerion shrugged. "Believe what you will, it is none of my concern."

"But... it corresponds well with what I saw when I tried to seal your memories. Perhaps, you are telling the truth. In that case, you are destined to become the new ruler of the Dragon Race, someone who even the Dragon Monarch would have to bow his head to."

"That is the plan... but I'm still a tad bit too young and weak to claim such a position. I have to grow stronger first. By the way, how do you view the Dragon Monarch?"

"I see him as a junior and nothing more than that."

"A junior!? Then... how old are you?"

"Does my age really matter?"

"..." Aerion chuckled. "No, of course not. But I remember when sixty years of life was a great blessing and now there are people who live thousands of times longer than that."

"Only sixty years? What kind of place do you come from?"

"I'll tell you later if you're willing to listen. Now that it has been a few days, I think it's time I leave. My sect probably misses me dearly so I shouldn't keep it waiting for too long. I trust that you can keep my secret with you... if not, then I would be quite disappointed."

"The secret of your inheritance needn't remain a secret... it would be better if you told someone like the Dragon Monarch. He would protect you until..."

"Hmph, I'd rather not rely on others. Besides, I don't trust him at all... but there might come a day when the truth is revealed. That will be when my conquest truly begins."

"Very well, I will keep your secret as long as you remove the mask hiding your face."

Aerion laughed. "Trust me, you don't want to see my face. It is awfully ugly, I look better with my mask on. Once, I killed a man just by revealing my face... it is my most secret, deadly, weapon. It is also the perfect repellent against women, no one looks at me more than once. I would rather not use it against you..."

"Nevertheless, if you wish for your inheritance to remain a secret, you will remove the mask."

... She's insistent, isn't she? Damn it.

"Alright, you asked for it."

Aerion took it off and revealed his face. The hood was also moved, unleashing his silver hair. "Breathing without the mask feels refreshing... what do you think, am I handsome?"

"No, you are awfully ugly." Shen Xi smiled.

"Ah, yes. It is a surprise that you still remain standing... perhaps my powers have weakened over the years?"

"Perhaps... but it is almost the opposite of what you described. Do you think that I could be so easily dissuaded?"

"Well, I suppose not. All I ask is that you don't tell anyone else about me. I feel as if you're a person I can trust... would I happen to be correct?"

"Mhm. Your secret will stay with me... if you need to come here, feel free to do so in the future. I would not mind some company."

"Oh..." Aerion nodded. "Alright, I'll visit later. He Lin, get over here... we're leaving."

"Aw, so soon? It has only been four days."

"You can stay longer if you want. I could come back in two months to pick you up... how about that?"

"Two months... alright, I'll grow a lot of plants for Master in that time!"

"I look forward to it." Aerion put his mask back on, along with the hood. He left the bamboo house and proceeded towards He Lin. "Don't cause any troubles for Senior Shen Xi, you must follow her every command while I'm away."

"As you wish, Master."

"Umm... I'd like to thank you for saving and protecting my younger brother." He Ling approached Aerion before he left.

"You don't need to thank me." Aerion shook his head.

It was not me who saved him in the first place...

"I'll be on my way now."

World Teleportation Portal... Darkya Realm, Divine Justice Sect!

"He vanished so suddenly..."

Shen Xi wondered what kind of transportation he had used.

~

The Realm King returned after four days... but something seemed different from last time.

Shen Xi is really beautiful, huh. All those rumours are true and the Dragon Monarch's chase does make sense... sort of. It would be nice to have her as my wife...

"I'm rooting for you, little dragon," Rotias announced. "She was definitely surprised and even more so, charmed by your looks. Even better, she's of the Dragon Race. You got this in the bag."

Rotias, do you hear that?

"Hmm, I do."

"Where is this Realm King!? He dares to severe my uncle's arms... where the hell is he!?"

It would seem that someone is calling for Justice... could it be someone from the Divine Martial Realm?

"I sense someone of the Divine Sovereign Realm, he is beyond you, so you should be careful."

I will.

Aerion flew down and entered the main hall of the Divine Justice Sect. He slammed open the giant doors and slowly walked inside. His entrance was extremely dramatic, on purpose, of course. He liked to show-off once in a while.

"You... you're justice, right?"

"That's right, I am Justice. You are a fool to act so tactlessly inside of my throne room... nevertheless, I have decided to be magnanimous and allow you the chance to speak."

"The lower stages of the Divine Spirit Realm, you think that you can trick me? Whatever... Wu Chengyan, severe both of his arms! You will feel what my uncle felt... and more!"

"I don't think that will be necessary. Wu Guike, my dear friend, we can get along... can't we?"

The Emperor... awaken.

Wu Chengyan, the Divine Sovereign, looked at Wu Guike for further orders. He seemed to be more hesitant now.

"I... forgive me, Justice. What was I even thinking? Wu Chengyan, Justice is my best friend... you absolutely can't touch him."

"Young Master... are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure! You dare to question my orders?"

"No, of course not. I will do as you say."

Aerion smirked behind his mask. "Guike, why don't we go for a drink? I have the finest wine in all of Primal Chaos!"

"That sounds like a great idea, I've been feeling a slight bit thirsty these days."

"Good, good, as a great friend, I see it as my duty to treat you to some wine before you leave the Darkya Realm."

"Let's get started, then." Wu Guike replied, rather enthusiastically.

"..." Wu Chengyan, along with everyone else in the hall, looked rather confused. But they went along with it.

~

"That was way too smooth." Rotias laughed. "You can't control the guardian, so you controlled the young master who orders around the guardian. There was no need for you to face a Divine Sovereign after all. How brilliant!"

"I'm starting to feel rather drunk..." Wu Guike stated.

"I see, so you can't take much wine, huh?" Aerion replied.

"Perhaps it is you who can drink too much."

"You just might be right. Alright, drink one more glass for me."

"I'll try... but after, can I leave to visit my aunt?"

Aerion nodded. "That's fine. You must be worried about her well-being..."

"Well, it's not just that. There's something more to it."

"Something more?"

"I feel like you're my best friend and a very trustworthy person... can I trust you?"

"Of course, of course. I am the most trustworthy person in the world."

What in Seven Hells is he talking about?

"My aunt... I've had a... uhh, s.e.x.u.a.l relationship with her for about eleven years now."

"Oh, it's just that?" Aerion laughed. "What's wrong with laying with your aunt?"

"Oh... she's married to Lei Qianfeng, isn't she?" Aerion suddenly remembered.

"Yes... but he is unable to satisfy her since he is impotent."

Aerion nodded. "I see... this is indeed a sin worthy of severe punishment. But, since we're such great friends, I'll let you off."

"I knew it, you are the one person who I can trust with anything! Since you are the Realm King, I will do my best to convince my father to assist the Darkya Realm even if wood spirit orbs are no longer being sold."

"That would mean a great deal to me, Guike. I don't want any sort of trouble with the Divine Martial Realm."

Wu Guike finished his glass of wine and stood up. "I'll be off now, to rest for the night."

"When will you be leaving the Darkya Realm?"

"In the morning, I'll come back later after things settle down."

Aerion nodded. "That is wise."

Their private chat was quite inciteful and it made Aerion realise that Wu Guike was a massively downgraded, more evil and arrogant, version of himself.

That is the difference between a Dragon Emperor and some young master, I suppose. Now then, it is time to start asserting my authority over the rest of the Darkya Realm!
