Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 126 - Mr.Untouchable

"Master... that person looks really scary, what are we going to do?"

"Nothing... hmph, he is just a slight inconvenience. Nothing more." Aerion stood up and turned around.

Seven Hells... this man is taller than the Mountain! The Dragon Monarch, a person whom even God Emperors have to show respect to. The strongest profound practitioner in the entire Realm of Gods. Technically, this man should be my greatest supporter due to my inheritance... Aerios was the Ancestral God of Dragons, after all.

"A slight inconvenience? Then who are you?"

"I am Justice... and who are you to shout in my divine presence?"

"Divine presence? It doesn't seem so since you clearly lack the strength."

Yeah, when compared to you, I'm lacking in that regard. But I'm not 350,000 years old...

"Strength is not everything, my dear Dragon Monarch." Aerion chuckled "What is the worth of your strength if you can't touch a single hair of mine? Go on, you can try."

"I was going to kill you for the intrusion, either way. Shen Xi is not to be disturbed by a single soul and certainly, not by you!"

Kamui.

The Dragon Monarch's hand went straight through Aerion. The profound energy he had gathered... it was more than enough to kill him hundreds of times over!

"What...?" The Dragon Monarch muttered as he tried striking Aerion again. He had thrown countless punches but they all went through him like he was a ghost.

"Have you calmed down, already? This is getting old... almost as old as you."

"Who are you? What are you... why do my attacks go straight through you?"

"I told you before, I am Justice. I didn't come here on a whim, of course, there was a purpose to my visit. Honestly, I could not care less about your Dragon Queen... the only reason why I came here is to reunite my wood spirit, He Lin, with his sister."

"A noble reason... perhaps, I have misjudged you." The Dragon Monarch sighed. "It would seem that I am hopeless in this situation either way."

"Good... now, where is He Lin?" Aerion walked past the Dragon Monarch.

It would seem that, under the commotion, He Lin got around and reunited with his sister. This was no surprise since Aerion had gained the Dragon Monarch's full attention. He Lin was also a wood spirit and wood spirits aren't exactly known for their battle prowess so the Dragon Monarch didn't bother with him.

Aerion got closer to where Shen Xi rested since that was where He Lin had walked. He was met with a warm embrace and a decent amount of tears between two siblings who had been split apart for four long years. After seeing this, Aerion had no regrets. The use of Izanagi and World Teleportation Portal was worth it... the Dragon Monarch's hopelessness was quite satisfying to witness as well.

"Isn't familial love beautiful, Dragon Monarch?"

"I have noticed something, Justice... your aura is very young. You have tried to distort your aura to make yourself seem older but I can see through it." The Dragon Monarch stated.

"... So, what of it?"

"It makes me curious as to who hides behind the mask... the Profound God Convention is less than a year away, perhaps there is a chance that I will see you there?"

"Hmph, the Profound God Convention is child's play, I would never attend such a trivial event."

"I see, it is beneath you."

If I'm not careful, he might actually discover who Justice really is... what would he do with that knowledge, I wonder? It's time I change the subject.

"This is a random question but... are you a v.i.r.g.i.n?"

"What are your intentions with that question?"

He didn't say no... hahaha.

"Huh, you're missing out. But there is no shame in that since the strongest dragon to ever exist was a v.i.r.g.i.n as well. A different kind, though. He did not chase after anyone or anything except for strength which was why he was the strongest. Your case, however, is quite pitiable... you are the strongest profound practitioner in the God Realm yet you continue to chase after a woman for thousands upon thousands of years."

"How do you know this? Are you attempting to insult me?"

"No, I'm trying to open your eyes to the truth." Aerion sighed. "But it is clear to me that your eyes have been clouded and will remain so... forever."

"I would have long since killed you for your impudence... you are fortunate that I cannot strike you."

"And you are fortunate that you did not get the opportunity to do so. If you were to kill me, I'd return stronger than before and make sure to return the favour as soon as possible. However, I would rather have a Dragon Monarch serve me as a subject rather than a pile of ashes... killing you would be a waste."

"You are quite daring for a young man... it is refreshing."

Huh, refreshing? He seems to have regained his composure, heh, as expected of the great Dragon Monarch.

"Strangely enough, I feel a sense of admiration towards you. Many people have come to fear me but you... I don't sense a shred of fear from you. Of course, that can be attributed to your special ability. Still, your words are quite moving. It is rare to see such charisma in a God-Emperor, nevermind a young man... I ask that you forget my previous attempts of taking your life."

Do you think I can forget so easily? Hmph, though... I was technically trespassing. I will acknowledge that fact in the future.

"You are forgiven, Dragon Monarch."

"Still, I can't drive you out... it seems that I have failed Shen Xi." The Dragon Monarch sighed. "I feel conflicted."

"There will be no need for that." A heavenly voice came out of the bamboo house ahead. "This visit is a welcome one."

She should have said that earlier...

"Very well, I'll be on my way." The Dragon Monarch turned around. "Do not cause any unnecessary trouble, alright?"

Aerion nodded. "I'll leave when my business here is done."

"That is good to hear." The Dragon Monarch left, at his own heavy pace.

"Finally, that scary person is gone... Master are you..."

"Shit..." Aerion muttered. "I... don't feel well."

Aerion spat out a mouthful of blood but since he was wearing a mask, it ended up on the interior of the mask which didn't make things any better.

"Damn that... bastard for making me use it for so... long."

Kamui... the longer I stay in that visible state, the worse the consequences will become. It is an extremely powerful ability, this was to be expected...

"Master...!"

Aerion fell into the world of flowers beneath him and started to rest his body. He Lin ran over to him.

"Will he be alright?" He Ling asked.

He Lin nodded. "It's my Master, the most amazing man in the world... this should be nothing to him. He's only tired for a short while, actually, Master rests multiple times a day. He works too hard sometimes so he has to rest to make up for it."

"Is there a reason why he works too hard?"

"He wants to be the strongest there is! He told me that there were many calamities which were waiting to be released upon him... so he has to be strong in order to face them, right? He also wants to unite the world as one empire where all races can get along in peace."

"Really? That sounds difficult..." He Ling responded.

"Hehe, I believe my Master is more than capable of doing it in the future!" He Lin enthusiastically countered.

"That is foolish thinking... light will never accept darkness, nor will darkness accept light. He has done a great favour, however, so I will tend to him. Ling'er, bring him in."

"Yes... argh, he's too heavy..."

He Lin lent her a hand (well, hands). "I'm a little bit stronger since then, big sister."

He Ling chuckled. "I can see that."

"One day, I'll be strong enough to protect you... but I'm not there yet." He Lin sighed.

"You don't need to protect me."

"No, I must... and under my Master, I will!"

At last, Aerion had made his way to the bamboo house. Not willingly, of course, he quite liked the field of flowers.

"Wow... Senior Shen Xi is so beautiful..."

"So this is how he looks like... unmasking him shouldn't be hard now. To think that a young man could evade the Dragon Monarch long enough for him to give in. I wonder, what kind of person lies beneath the mask..."

Her hand came close to touching his mask before He Lin stepped in.

"Hands off, Senior Shen Xi."

"Oh?"

"Master's real identity is a top-secret which only those closest to him should know. That list doesn't include you... so, I absolutely can't let you remove his mask."

"I see, curiosity overcame me for a moment. I will let him remove it himself when the time comes... it seems to me that he used too much of his profound energy in a short time and so, decided to rest. He should be back to normal in a day... hmm?"

ROAR.

Shen Xi tried to seal his memories but was met with a frightening roar. It was a roar only she could hear... a roar which could shake worlds. She tried once more...

ROAAAAAR.

"YOU SHOULD KNOW YOUR PLACE, FEEBLE DRAGON!"

This time, the roar thundered across the entire Forbidden Land of Samsara and even further beyond. Shen Xi moved back a few steps as Aerion opened his eyes.

"Who was disturbing this King's rest!?" Aerion stood up and his eyes narrowed upon locating Shen Xi. "Someone was tampering with something they shouldn't have... was it you? Hmph, I was doing just fine next to the flowers."

She had attempted to seal his memories but it was no good due to Aerios' soul, among many other souls...

"He Lin, since she wishes for me to forget about this place, then I will naturally oblige. I have no further business here anyway. When I think about it... you have a rather difficult decision to make, you can either stay with your sister or come with me. Heh, I doubt you'd want to stay with me over your sister... maybe this is for the best."

This feeling... it is similar to the one when I absorbed the Nine Suns Heaven's Fury.

"Wait up... Master, I would never leave you!"

"... Oh?"

"I want to be just like you one day, strong and brave... someone who can protect others. Someone people can depend on. I can't become that if I don't come with you. Anyway, we can still visit this place once in a while even if it's for a short time... right?"

"Hmph... maybe. From my current experience and knowledge, it would seem that I am unwelcome here. Unwelcome in the Dragon God Realm... where I should be most welcome, life is truly a strange thing."

"You may stay for a few days, the Dragon Monarch has given you much unnecessary trouble and so, you should rest. He Lin would prefer to stay here a little longer, don't you believe so?"

So I'm welcome now, huh? Whatever...

Aerion sighed, Shen Xi was stating the truth but the rage he had felt still remained. He calmed himself and nodded. "Alright then, a few days here doesn't sound so bad."
